The newer fans have indeed more bad smells. I have got a brand new fan here that smells like real poo poo! It is very likely the oil for the fan. It is called bearing lubricants. I already have taken off the oscillation gear because that made noise, thrown away some gearwheels so the oscillation doesn't work anymore it is quiet now. In the oscillation gear there was a lot of grease and that stinks very hard and have cleaned that. So the back of the fan is cleared of grease.

I agree in my case where I suffer from permanent AFib, the only thing I feel that tells me I remain in that state is my higher HR and some irregularity of the HR. I understand my fibrillation, is just that, a rapid oscillation of the atrial chamber, thus making it almost useless and the source of lots of extra HB signals to the ventricles.
