Avatar n tn would taking percocet lessen the effects of lithium, seroquel, or lorazepam?
Avatar n tn I just started taking the Seroquel starter pack. FIrst 50 mg then 100mg. I wake up ny legs and feet hurt and are very stiff. My back, hip and head hurt. I took it at 9pm and it is 1pm. I still am in a fog. Don't even know how I have managed to take care of my 3 kids. My house is pure mess and I can't find the energy to clean it. Is it worth it? Am I suppose to stick it out and it will get better. Give me a 10mg oxycodone and I am superwoman!
Avatar m tn I have such a big problem with the Opana ER, I (like you) can hardly stand to deal with ANOTHER PROBLEM! Anyway, I just want you to know, Rosehouse, that you aren't the only one dealing with such hard issues. Sometimes I am STARTLED to say it mildly or STUNNED that my issues are so great! We have to hold on--be strong- and trust that life is going to get really good for us in 2012! Just believe with me! And, I was in tx about 1 1/2 years ago, and again when I was in my mid 20s.
Avatar f tn Hi I started taking percocet when I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled.I didn't care for the drug at first but it helped.I only had about 15 of the 512 at the time so I only took one or two at a time.Of course I liked the buzz but when they were gone,I didn't care..
Avatar f tn See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep. It will make your withdrawals easier. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter. The residual symptoms of insomnia and depression can last another few months.
Avatar f tn There is really no easy way of detoxing from home. I have dealt with hundreds of addicts who have all told me horror stories of doing it by themselves. I would only guess that if are successful in doing it at home you don't end up in my clinic. Just in case you are curious, it takes us three to four days to detox a patient and get him/her back home drug free and feeling well on Naltrexone therapy (no opiates).
Avatar n tn Were you diagnosed with anything else in addition to OCD? I know sometimes anti-psychotics are prescribed to OCD sufferers but I thought Seroquel was for Bi-Polar?
Avatar f tn After working for the State for 10 years with SMI's (Seriously Mentally Ill) and Addicts I can tell you Seroquel is a heavy duty Psychotropic...It is a major tranquilizer....50mg is enough to knock most people out...you know the dose is too much if you start slurring your words, bumping into things and passing out..Almost acting like you're extremely drunk...you may not notice as much as others will..Your body will become tolerant to that dose and the sedated affect will wear off...
1965148 tn?1354978634 I have been taking seroquel for 1-2 years.. at 1st i considered this my MAGIC PILL, however the sedation is a killer. I have suffered extreme tiredness, lethargy and sedation on many different meds in the past 8 yrs to treat my BP, including zoloft, lithium, epilim.. and i didn't notice it with the seroquel at 1st, but now i may as well be a zombie. I have just today changed my script to seroquel XR (the slow release). Can anyone tell me, is the dopiness any or much less on this?
202665 tn?1248806733 About six months of overlap with Zyprexa at the beginning - it took forever to get off of Zyprexa - and almost a year of overlap with Seroquel at the end. It was a good drug in general. I remained relatively stable the entire time I was on it, but still experienced significant sleep problems. Eventually tried Seroquel because I had already been on all of the others (I had problems with Abilify, too) and it tends to have more of a sedative effect.
Avatar m tn Im a Fibromyalgia patient with severe body aches and pain bad enough for narcotic pain killers. I get urine drug tested every month when i go to get my prescriptions from a pain management clinic. I have tested positive for either Hydrocodone or Oxycontin the last 6 times I tested. I havent taken Hydrocodone in 5 years and Ive never taken Oxycontin. The dr doesnt believe me and Im probably gonna be released because of it. I cant make him believe me.
Avatar f tn Don't take seroquel with Neo-Citrin. It has pseudonephine in it and that causes issues with meds. Most cough syrups cause issues with meds, especially compounded products like Niquel and Neo-Citran. Sorry but the only alternative is Buckley's Original (the cherry has pseudonephrine in it). It does taste like crap, (ground up pine needles) but it does work very well.
202665 tn?1248806733 I've had the same problem... there's a certain window of opportunity for the Ambien to take effect... and if you don't snatch it, then you can feel wired, but tired at the same time. you might want to have your doc prescribe the Ambien CR instead, it's a controlled release and I find that it works pretty well... Also, may want to try Lunesta, if the Ambien is no longer working for you... but those drugs are supposed to be for temporary use only...
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with bipolar and have been prescribed Seroquel and Lexapro. They both have worked and have brought my symptoms under control, but with a lot of side effects. I have an incredible hunger for sweets every day and have had much weight gain. I am too sluggish and tired to work out at the gym or even walk around the block. This has aggravated by sleep apnea which I was recently diagnosed with.
Avatar n tn do you have any experience with Seroquel or related medications??
Avatar f tn I'm currently on 75mcg of fentanyl...I change my patch every 3 days along with Percocet for breakthrough pain. I'd like to get off the Percocet as well as fentanyl. I'll be going down to 50mcg of fentanyl next month. My question is, will I have withdrawls if I stop taking the Percocet and just stay on the fentanyl as we continue to lower that? Thanks so much for your help.
Avatar n tn I asked him about the bad constipation effect that I have with Seroquel and he said that the drug does not cause constipation. Anyway, I am going to take Seroquel 100 tonight and hope that it will work. Ever since I stopped the Olanzapine, I have not put on any weight. Hopefully stopping the Divaproex will aid in losing some weight. Another thing I have noticed is - Over the past 5 years of taking meds for Bipolar, my mind does not work like it used to do before the meds.
Avatar f tn I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.
8265858 tn?1403378544 He had surgery on 3/25/14 and was discharged from the hospital on 4/8/14 with Percocet and Oxycotin for pain. He took himself off of Percocet on Sunday the 13th of April and the Oxy on Monday the 14th, taking just 800mgs of Motrin for pain. Was he on the Narcs long enough to be addicted? He is feeling sick daily and has vomit 1-2 times a day, especially once at bed time. What can we do to make it smoother on his detox at home? Thank you!
678817 tn?1327624650 Think I'm going to be okay with the Seroquel. I'm getting about eight hours of sleep with it (other than the typical middle-of-the-night bathroom forays) and then waking up. Haven't tried working yet obviously, but when I get up, I feel like I'll be okay, albeit maybe a little tired still. We'll see, tomorrow being D-Day.
Avatar f tn s for approx 30years) takes seroquel with no problems. In fact, he has noticed a decrease in his nightmares and odd hallucinations. so if your doctor has recommended it, it may be worth a try. They should normally suggest starting with a small dose, so you can see how you go. You can always run it past your neurologist too if you are still unsure.
1168718 tn?1464983535 hi everyone, was just wondering if you guys have had any trouble with Seroquel? I am being put on it for sleep, and I have read up on it, and the side effects are kinda scarey. Does anyone have any input? My Dr. is putting me on a very tiny dose to start, as I reacted to Nortriptyline and have been on nothing for sleep for 3 days now. Can anyone give me some help please??
Avatar n tn Ok, i am convinced not to take the seroquel now after reading about it on this site. I came up with my own recipe for tonite. We'll see how it works. Here is the recipe: 1000mg Glutamine, 1000mg Magnesium, 10mg of melatonin(going to get better stuff/ sublingual from GNC tomorrow), 2 tabs of Benadryl and a bath with some lavender "frew frew" stuff that my wife bought me. Whatever it takes. The samples of seroquel my doc gave me are going in the trash and so is the script.
563541 tn?1257877567 i was in same boat....doc sent me home with script for seroquel....i took it in hospital, didn't help me sleep one bit....but also, after reading up more on it, didn't like what was said about the drug....so i never got the script filled after getting home and i don't regret it....yes, i still have problems sleeping, but the seroquel didn't help me with that issue anyway, so why take it? i'm not sure about helping with depression, etc.
809366 tn?1238749581 It is good to question how a med makes you feel. I started with a low dose of seroquel @ bedtime and worked up to 100mgs.I won't go over the 100 dose ( issues with a lot of meds, my issues) If I had only taken one 50mg of seroquel then I would actually not take anymore til you see the podc. another option is to split the dose in half until you see the podc. I felt a little loopy at first but that quickly went away.
