percocet with or without food

My son takes a medication that is specific WITH food and also another that says you pick with food or without food, but stay consistent with it. I think Coreg, from my reading, is food optional but the recommendation is that with food is better because it slows the rate of absorption. This is to prevent orthostatic hypotension (this is when bp drops and you get dizzy when you stand up). If you aren't having that problem by not taking it with food, then may not be a worry for you.

My doctor changed my script to Percocet without acetaminophen when I told him the Percocet was making me sick to my stomach and vomiting more often than not after taking them.... so far so good!

But now he basically relies on taking it and has withdrawl symptoms if he goes two days without it. He has twitches as night, irritability , depression, pain. He really wants to get off of it because he is scared it's Hurting hia health. Which I think it is. What should he do to get off of it. I'm worried sick please help.

ve also taken stool softeners but nothing seems to work.

i am perscribed percocet. I have taken 2 5/375 mg every 6 hrs but ususlly no more than 6 in a day. I some times only take 4 and once in a while as little as 1 a day. I am 35 weeks pregnant and don't want any issues when i deliver. so my question Is it true stopping completely as in no "tapering off" will send my baby in to shock or me in to pre term labor or be as bad as some NoN doctor people are saying on here?

I just got home after having my broken knee cap put back together (knee surgery with screws and wire). I am on the couch with a lot of pain and at least for the next few days I am taking 5mg of Oxycodone, every 3-4 hours, depending on pain levels. I am really struggling to get my blood sugar levels even close to normal. For what it's worth, I am on an insulin pump and have great control (I avg. 5.8 A1C's).

i have been taking percocet 15mg for about 3 years and there are many times when i wished i didnt have to take this. Its not neccesarily effecting my way of living but im worried about how long i need to be on this. I have terrible back issues and these are the only meds that allow me to go about my day. when someone is on pain meds for that long is it possible to just detox or am i possibly looking at suboxin because i do look forward to the day that im 100% clean free and clear all the way.

it was 10/325, but this last refill the doctor gave me just the percocet without the tylenol. I have supplimented with midol when needed. Even though I have gone through this before with surgery, this is by far the highest dose I have been on so I think that is what encourages me to taper. As bad as my withdrawals have been before, I am so afraid to go CT too quick and have to go through DT as bad or worse than before.

Why could the other treatments relieve the pain and I could eat whatever? Do I really have food allergies? If I exercise with a headache, the headache lasts longer. I also wear a splint at night for TMJ.

There is only ONE thing that causes weight gain: food. Why do two people who eat the exact same thing gain/lose weight differently? Metabolism. Food gets converted to calories. Simplistically (leaving out lots of variables), If you burn off less calories than your intake, you gain weight. If you burn off more calories than your intake, you lose weight. When people exercise/run/treadmill/jumpingjacks, etc., they are trying to burn off more calories than the amount of calories taken in.

Oh Ruby!! No wonder you are feeling so much pain. Bless your heart!! Actually when I wenton the Patches, I, too, had been on Lortab 7.5's. As long as you are Opiate tolereant you can be put on the Fentanyl. My Rheumatologist sent me to my PM Doctor so that I could get the type of Pain Relief that I needed. At that point, I'd already had 2 THR's (Total Hip Replacement's) and was getting ready to undergo my 3rd (all on the same hip, the left).

Is it safe to take 800mg ibuprofen & 650mg Percocet (each pill 325mg) together at once?

ive been taking 2 to 3 percocet 5/325 everyday twice or 3 times a day for about 3 years. my doc wants me to switch to dilaudid. im wondering which is stronger? if i was to take one percocet id probably be dissapointed, will i be disapointed with one dilaudid? im just curious because percocet has always worked for me, and i need stronger pain meds. so is dilaudid 8mg stronger than percocet 5/325? thanks.

t as bad as they used to be now that I got all that Percocet out of my system. But dealing with this without opiates makes it really hard to tame the pain that's making me throw up so much. Today was a bad day. I threw up everything I ate.

I am horrifed to say when I wake up in the morning is the worse, today I took one Oxy IR 20mg, with four perks...Then a couple hours later I took four T3's, prob because I am causing myself such a headahce its almost unbearable..The T3's I can take or leave, they so not seem to be as big of an issue as I have gone without them many many times..those I have stopped before many times and know I can again..the Oxy IR 20mg I usually only take twice a day ..

Finally hit day five, slept last night a few hours here and there, I was on OxyContin, Percocet, norcos for over 5 years, still sweating and extremely lazy.. Trying to stay focused and keep moving forward. Please tell me the worst is over?

For those of you who have been following me on here the past few days, you know that yesterday I got rid of everything I had in my apartment that I could venture to in a desperate time of need. I've been addicted to percocet for the past year, give or take a month or so.

((gatorade is good) Even if it is just a little every hour or so.(boost or ensure might work for both food and drink) You have to eat something to keep your energy up as much as possible. If you have Restless legs..it is hit or miss what works. Walking seemed to help me some. Hot bath with epsom salts..a little. I finally had to get my doctor to refill my restless legs meds (non addictive) to get some sleep. If nothing works,your doctor might help.

Yes I have back problems and a l/knee problems, My Dr gives me 4 ea a Day Percocet 10/325 how many in a 24 hour period can i take without it bothering me as far as too Much, Sometimes I go to bed Hurting so bad that I cant sleep very good at all. I only take them when I hurt but would it be safe to take another one at night to go to bed that would be 5 a Day spaced out over 24 hours, Thanks for yalls advise.
