My dr said I could take Benadryl for my allergies. I haven't yet but I'm considering it tonight because I'm so miserable and I know it would help a lot and I could get a good night sleep. Has anyone else taken it while pregnant. I'm absolutely sure my dr wouldn't have said it was ok if it were the slighted bit questionable but im still hesitant.
Donna, I have no experience with percocet....I took hydrocodone, but I can tell you that if you are committed...and it sounds like you are...and you have a plan...and sounds like you do....you will beat this. Lots of people here have had percocet addictions and I am sure they will be along to give support, but I just wanted to say welcome to the forum and hang in there. When you need support, post and someone will help you. Post anyway to let us know how you are doing.
I was prescribed Percocet for severe muscle spasms in my back. Usually 1 or 2 would nip the spasm before it got too bad. Then I discovered it helped me sleep also! I also found it helped my mood, i.e., made me more talkative to my husband, more interesting. You all know the rest of the story. I am on day 9 without taking any Percs - but I've made a terrible mistake in taking Ambien, Valium or Xanax to help me sleep.
The two things I've found that helps me with the WD's is taking Benadryl at night........it makes me sleepy. Also staying very busy and keeping my mind busy is a huge help, (hard to do when your disabled), but I work puzzles, read, do anything to keep that mind busy...........they way I look at it, each day I get through without taking a pill is one more day ahead.
oh my sweet jesus...Day three of Percs..took up to 20 a day..last Friday I had seven pills left...Im so done with this..but its hard..I read the posts and realize how many people are going through what I am..Its nasty..oh my ...going to the doc this afternoon...going to get something to help me sleep..took the last three days off work..but nobody knows anything..kept this addition to myself...until now...so people any idea of when and how long...and is there anything I can take to help..
I get chronic migraines anyway, but now I have daily headaches (some tension headaches). They seem to be even worse than usual, and it's interfering with my ability to work, drive, and get anything done around the house. I don't think my pills are safe. What can I do for these?
I am on day 13 from quitting Percocet - CT. I have ALMOST returned to normal but I cannot sleep. I feel sleepy, go to bed only to have arm pain and twitching legs. I am totally exhausted - most nights consist of 2-3 hours at the most and that's after getting up a bazillion times and going back to bed. Usually it's 3 or 4 a.m. or later when I finally fall asleep for a few hours. Can anyone offer an opinion or suggestion? Please???
I went to the ER this morning and they said it was just hypersensitivity to the solarcaine and gave me prednisone and percocet. The percocet is not helping and is making me nauseous. The prednisione has helped little or none. My parents are pretty much ignoring me and pretty much telling me to stop complaining. I want to jump onto a bed of nails. Any remedies would be greatly appreciated along with any ideas as to how long this will last. Thanks.
ve been having back pain and insomnia since my surgery 4 months and was prescribed Percocet. My surgeon told me to see a PCP for more Rx and I did. I went to a family practice with 3 doctors and 1 FNP. Two weeks ago, the FNP prescribe me indocin, benadryl, and retin-a(other). None of these medications helped with my back pain and thurday 12/23 I saw the PCP again.
I have a very addictive personality and have been using different drugs over the past 4 yrs (percocet, lortab, tylenol with codeine, fioricet with codeine, etc), just to give you guys an idea of how long this has been going on. I have only been taking the Tramadol for about 6 months (no other drugs). Any advice will be greatly appreciated, as well as any prayers!

FTM and 18yrs. 21 weeks. Do any other mommys take a benadryl before bed? My doctor told me id be fine to take one before bed everynight. and now i have like 10 flea bites on my foot. i went to walmart and bought benadryl topical ointment. before i start applying just wanna know if its safe to use. i wanna get rid of the rashes and itchiness asap. i have this party coming up. im 33wks 2 days.. please help.
