Percocet with aspirin

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet with aspirin

percocet

Avatar f tn Percocet and Percodon are oxy with either acetaminophen or aspirin added. If this what you are talking about?
Avatar f tn Had I listened to the first doctor I would have never had my son! Is baby aspirin or regular aspirin safe to take during my pregnancy? I feel great. I have pains in my hip, sometimes. I am so happy otherwise! Please advise.
Avatar n tn With stomach problems you can't take aspirin either, that's my choice if the risk factors of clots are not high. As I understand it, AFib increases the risk of clot formation, but it does not mean one will get a clot when an AFib episode occurs. The prognosis is simply the risk is higher, but still low. I've seen a number that permanent AFib (such as I have) increases my chance of a clot/stroke to about 3% a year, cumulative I believe.
Avatar n tn Just a quick correction...Percocet is oxycodone with Acetaminophen, and Percodan is Oxycodone with Aspirin, not Tylenol. There are other, less common combinations, like Vicoprofen, which would be Hydrocodone with Ibuprofen instead of Tylenol (Acetaminophen). Vicodin, Norco, Lortab are all Hydrocodone. Dilaudid comes both in oral and injectable forms, with doses starting at usually 1 mg. Fentanyl patches typically start at 25 mcg/hr (micrograms). I have seen lower doses, 12.
772216 tn?1259273237 Given you are on medications, it would be a good idea to discuss aspirin with your doctor before starting any daily regiment. Happily, beta blockers lower both HR and BP, so it seems they are tailor made for your situation. Still, an effort to find the cause is the best approach. That said, I note many people are on BP and/or HR medication with no hope of a cure. I takd Metoprolol, a BB, for my high HR driven by Atrial Fibrillation.
Avatar m tn The perscription will say on it how much tylenol it contains or if it contains aspirin (which I doubt pre-surgical). Next to the oxycodone it will say, apap ###. That is the amount of acetaminophen (tylenol) in it. So as an example it may read, oxycodone 7.5mg/apap 500mg. Physicians don't always tell you the amount of acetaminophen that the particular narcotic contain. The reason again for that is it is written on the script. I hope that helps answer your question.
Avatar m tn Taking the second issue first, that can't be known at this point. Back pain is a huge source of disability, and it is impossible to predict who will do well and who won't. I can give you some general ways to improve your odds of avoiding disability: don't smoke (smoking affects more than just the lungs!
4204073 tn?1361831476 Then, there is Oxycontin, which is a long acting, sustained release form of Oxycodone (again, no Tylenol). Then there is Percocet, which is Oxycodone with Tylenol (which is available in different strengths).
1264863 tn?1391118193 I take Opana er for pain due to my multiple sclerosis and it works very well, with few of the side effects i had before from other pain meds with alot of aspirin or tylenol. i hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I agree with Molly in regards to asking a doctor to change her medication to something long acting or even just Oxycodone with no other additives such as aspirin or acetomenophin. It is available in 5mg and 10mg doses. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I wish I would remember everything in one post (LOL) sorry everyone. The one thing I DO NOT recommend is ultram with suboxone, it is TERRIBLE! I'll leave it at that. It does not do a thing and makes you feel like ****, not sick, just like ****, very hard to explain, but as I said, seriously try aspirin first, I don't recommend using the percocet since you are an addict, unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO!!
655875 tn?1295695107 These include Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) or aspirin to help relieve mild migraines and combinations of acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine specifically meant for moderate migraine attacks (Excedrin Migraine). The drug of choice however are triptans such as Sumatriptan (Imitrex), rizatriptan (Maxalt), naratriptan (Amerge), zolmitriptan (Zomig), almotriptan (Axert), frovatriptan (Frova) and eletriptan (Relpax).
Avatar f tn Well it has gotten really bad because I am stealing pills from family members and when I realized they would notice, I tried to replace them with aspirin. Well today it all came crumbling down on me when a family member realized I had taken her pills and switched them with aspirin. She is extremely mad at me and I don't blame her. She also says she will never be able to trust me again. Well with that all out of the way, I have decided to stop.
1930941 tn?1400107522 .I am 27 days percocet free! Yea! I also in the past was an alcholic. I didn't drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin.

Plus, through the years I have changed other medications but at the present I also use: Neurontin 300mg 3 capsules 4 times a day Flexeril 10 mg as needed (up to 3 per day) Valium 5mg q 6 hrs.
Avatar m tn You should consult with your doctor before taking any medicaiton, but there is information that aspirin and In combination with omega-3 fatty acids could be helpful in the treatment of some forms of coronary artery disease. Again consult your doctor about whether this combination would be appropriate for you.
1773429 tn?1378193972 I know that here they are in with other baby stuff... it wasn't with the rest of the asprin.
Avatar n tn In addition, I now follow the recently revised American Diabetes Association guidelines for aspirin use in people with diabetes. Whereas the ADA used to recommend low-dose aspirin for every diabetic patient over the age of 40, their new guidelines suggest aspirin as a prevention strategy only in those with diabetes whose cardiovascular risk is above average. This includes men over age 50 or women over age 60 with at least one additional major risk factor.
Avatar m tn The doc has your best interest at heart and you can now buy aspirin with little hearts on the front of the packaging telling that it is exactly what its meant for. How easy is that? Pro athletes take them among millions of other people why not take something that is a preventative???? Good luck and happy new year......
Avatar f tn I've had three miscarriages and my doctor prescribed me baby aspirin (same as low dose aspirin) right after the last one. I am now 6 months pregnant & have been taking 1 pill everyday along with my prenatal vitamins since last January. You can ask your doctor about it & see what they say.
