I have a relative who is addicted to Tylenol 1's . We have been working, without success, to wean him off the drug. His habit was around 30-35 tabs a day. He says he is down to 15 a day. He was prescribed pain medication for a back ailment which has been successfully treated over the last year and a half...for the most part. He has a great pain doctor who has been treating him with pain blocking injections and supplements him with the pain pills in between.
Hi, I am running out of my percocet script early, is it ok to take tramadol in between to try and extend the few percocets I have? I cannot do withdrawel right now. I need something to stretch the Percocets out for about 5 days until my next script is ready. I use my meds for pain, but I ALWAYS run out about 4 days early. I am currently not using tramadol, but I have some, will they be an ok substitute for a week or so? Or will I still get W/D? Thank you, and God Bless Us all!
Eventually, I got off of the oxycontin and just tapered the percocet down until I got down to 7.5 mg and then went off. I think you can just substitute the oxycontin and then gradually go down from there. I was on the meds for 12 years and went off last December. I don't remember the patch being that hard to get off of because I just went on to the oxycontin and then reduced from there. Good luck.
I'm taking Opana ER 10 mg and it's not on the list of approved drugs for my new RX plan. Fentanyl patches weren't effective. What's a good substitute? oxymorphone is not listed but hydromorphone is.
I was prescribed Tramadol today as a substitute for percocet. This seems to be some confusing medication. The horror stories have made me a bit fearfull. My situation is this; I was addicted to heroin for nearly ten years and had been clean for the last 6 years. About three months ago I was in an auto accident. I have been suffering terrible neck/spine pain since. Immediately after the accident, my orthopaedic doctor put me on percocet.
I have Spinal Stenosis throughout the spine, and Fibromyalgia along with other things I see a pain management Dr ( neurologist) since watson stopped making the percocet and now is replaced by Activas I have been having more problems and last month he said try it for 1 more month which I did so on Friday what he did was e - scripted 2 prescriptions 1 for the non - generic and one for the Activas.
I am 24 years old. I have been prescribed percocet 10/325 for a little over a year now. My dr gives me 100 pills every 25 days. These pills only last me about 20 days. I think I've become dependant on them. I've started taking them not only when I'm hurting physically, but emotionally as well. I have surgery every other Wednesday, and need them for pain. Is there any advice someone can give me for how to take them for physical pain and not emotional pain?
Has anyone tried kratom 1 day than another day California poppy basically alternate for chronic pain. I have legit pain was dependent on Percocet. I have tried this recently seems to be effective. But b4 45 days ago I was extremely naive about all this. So my question to all who know alot more than Me is this safe good idea or what. Thanks for any and all help.
I have to go on the LID for 4-5 weeks and have been searching for an allowable milk substitute. Does anyone have any coments about Rich's Non-dairy creamer? I was hopeful about a coconut milk I found in a carton in the refrigerated section but turns out is has carageenan in it. I put sour cream, ranch dressing or have milk all the time with my foods since I am "saliva challenged" after my radiation treatments.
Once I take two percocet, I am able to get out of bed and walk and can get through the day while taking percocet throughout the day because the pain continues when I am active but the stiffness isn't as bad when I am active. Walking is becoming hard to do because of the pain and when my breathing gets heavy, my upper back stings between my shoulder blades. My great great grand mother, and my mom all have had or have peripheral neuropathy but it is due to diabeties. I am not diabetic.

Make sure you ween yourself...It can be really dangerous to quit percocet and not have an appropriate titrate Schedule. talk to your Primary care doctor about what you should do to quit your addiction to percocet. or if you can do it on your own that would be the best way...jus drink alot of water, Tea, Cranberry juice, Orange juice, pomegranae Juice; Eat things with garlic and vegetables...lots of yogurt and grains. You can titrate on your own...it is possible....
As for the methadone and subutex I really didnt wanna substitute another drug for the percocet I would really rather taper. Is it the physical withdrawal symptoms that are harmful to baby? What if I stop and feel no physical symptoms? I did try to stop at 7 weeks and did so C/T for a week and I just had of course the pain and then really strong cravings/anxiety but not to much physical...
