I am on week one treating type A and feeling really bad side effects. I feel almost ready to do something drastic. I called the psychologist at the clinic and she said that the side effects are worse in the first week. Is this true? Or am I looking at 48wks of feeling so sick I can hardly walk and feeling like my head is going to explode never mind the crazy emotional stuff talk about the blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don;t know if I can even tolerate this.

That being said I would look up the medications on line, find the side effects from each, and find the side effects from the combination you are on. Some are minor and some are not. That is the only reason I would look up the side effects is to find out which side effects that are red flags and need to be adressed immediately.

OK, here's the "strange one" of the group. I have taken Vicodin for 4 years. It only makes me "grumpy" at the end of a day when I have over done my limitations and I am hurting and absolutely nothing works to ease my pain. I was prescribed Percocet for a liver infection 2 years ago. I began using them again about 1 year ago. I have been addicted to them ever since. I would take 2 5/325mg tablets, once at noon, and once in the evening. 4 a day. As of this past October 2, I have been off of them completely. I have had no desire or urge to take them again. My question is, has anyone had withdrawal effects that make the sinuses and mouth dry? This seems to happen in cycles, every 6 hours or so.

I would go with the oxycodone (percocet) over the hydrocodone (vicodin), because it's possible to get the oxycodone in it's pure form in a pill without the tylenol in it. The -cet suffix on the percocet is what denotes the acetominophen or Tylenol. In the generic form, it would give the mg strength of the pill (ie, 5/500) and then say APAP on the label.

Will Roxicodone be as effective as Percocet and what side effects should I be aware of? Thank you very much for your input.

seek immediate medical attention if you develop any serious symptoms or side effects. and that these side effects may only occur infrequently, BUT SOME MAY BE FATAL. would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. Are there any known side effects for Shen Calmer and Liver Happy Capsules? My dog has been taking them for about a week now. He is taking them for anxiety, no signs of relief yet, but no prescriptions have helped him so this is our last resort. Narcotics do cause sexual problems and can cause you to have addiction issues but if your in a lot of pain you must ask yourself if the side effects are worth the pain relief you get from the meds. I would suggest you talk to your Dr about this before going cold turkey, you do have other options and you will most likly need to have some kind of pain control so your putting yourself through needless pain.

The thing is my mom is a bit scared because of what she has heard about the possible long term effects of accutane. Is it true that the drug can cause serious liver damage etc? I am aware of the short term effects of accutane (chapped lips, blured vision etc) but can someone enlighten me on what can possibly happen in the long run with my health after i take this drug?

My wife takes 5mg percocet (as prescribed) for chronic pain daily...she has noticed a marked decrease in her vision since doing so and I'd like to know if any users have had similar reactions..she only has vision in one eye anyway and doesn't need to jeopordize that. I do know that all to often things like this are not listed as side effects. The problem is that the doctors and or patients do not report them and so they too often get looked over as is the case here. I am sure there are many documented cases they just are not reported. I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. If I try to stop cold turkey, what effects will I feel? Someone told me that I will get shakes but they will only last 1 week or so. Is this true? Third question: Is it possible that I may have some liver or kidney damage after being on this for 2 years? I started with one 5mg tablet 3 times/day and when my leg was better, then I was increasing and taking once a day, and as I said I am now on 2 10mg pills in the morning. I don't want to increase. So i've been on tenofivor(viread) for about 8months now. I've experienced most of the side effects listed. Recently i've been experiencing a pain from my upper left chest throughout my arm. Mostly at night, then during the day I feel a tingly feeling throughout my body. The last time I had my tests done I was at 70 hbvdna. Of course its not the best test because the American health care system blows. But I've heard we are now getting fibrosis scans and hbsag quanitity scans.

Mine was way too fast and I have really suffered. I did the percocet withdrawal first as well but the Effexor made the percocet withdrawals look like a piece of cake.

I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily.
