percocet

Avatar f tn t get my script filled until a week later due to how much out of pocket compared to my 10 co-pay...my question is does my doctor go by when my Percocet prescription was written or when it was filled? Do they EVEN know?? I'm just asking?? I was watching my pharmacist and once they finished filling my bottle the shredded the actual paper script?? So How would my doctor know?? So...
Avatar f tn Ok.......many years ago I had an Oxy addiction. Successfully came off with methadone and successfully tapered off methadone as well and had been clean for around 10 years. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I had pretty major surgery and was prescribed Percocet 7.5/325 (60). In about 3 weeks I've been through 210 7.5s. I'd take more than recommend dosage for the first few days of the script and then taper myself down to about 4 a day. I'd refill and do the same again.
Avatar f tn Viocoden 3x a day and Percocet for when the viocoden was not enough. Old doctor wrote her as many refills as she could before we moved...that was all she could do. Went to hospital, they said to find a PCM... Not very helpful at all.
Avatar n tn Percocet, Morphine, Oxycontin, Fentanyl and others. They can only be prescribed by a written script (no phone ins, no faxes) and they MUST be PRINTED. There is NO refills given on a Schedule II drug. It requires a visit to the Dr. monthly. Schedule III Opiates are: Vicodin, Vicoprofen, Tussionex, etc... and thay may be called in or faxed in to a Pharmacy and can have up to 6 refills.
Avatar n tn When mine gets clogged the pain is intense. 2+ weeks since surgery. Foley to come out soon. Can I flush too often.Am I in danger using warm shower water? From dilaudI'd to morphine to percocet I have two left. My surgery was on another island and no refills w/out doc. Went to GP and will try codeine tonight.
Avatar f tn I would like to get off Percocet for good. I have 100 pills left this prescription. Would that be enough to taper from 8 a day to 0? I don't want to involve my doctor at this point for fear of failure or commitment. I would like to do this before my next refill, on my own, as the refill would start this nightmare all over again. Any suggestions on a schedule for the amounts I have stated? I took 7 yesterday and believe it or not I woke at 4am with worst RLS of the whole body.

537731 tn?1268265286 She said I will always have to go up in dosage on Percocet and with Methadone I wouildnt and that the difference between sub and methadone is sub blocks opiates and doesnt help with pain but methadone was. I have been on the same dosage of perc for years and they dont work as much as they use to. Avatar n tn I have been on percocet for over 5 years, I have stopped cold turkey. I am now experiencing diarea and I am wondering how long it will take for my body to heal? I have been taking 4-5 daily. If anyone can help I would greatly appriciate it.
Avatar n tn I have a couple questions concerning possibly having a tummy tuck done. I have 3 children and we are considering a fourth in the next year and a half. With each pregnancy, my abdomen has become more stretched and I'm left with an "overhang" or an "apron" of tissue no matter how many toning exercises I do.
1295973 tn?1279756268 I recently got off pain killers i was taking vicodin for leg pain/back pain and was also perscribed a couple days ago percocet for my back but i have stopped taking any pain meds. I was on vicodin since april of this year and recently ive been having huge migraines that dont seem to go away, feeling weak, rapid heart beat that feels kind of fluttery and sweating ... what could be the reason why i have been feeling like this?

I HAVE TEENAGED BOYS WHO NEED ME NOW. I NEED AND WANT MY LIFE BACK. PLEASE HELP ME! HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE AND HOW BAD WILL I FEEL TO GO COLD TURKEY OFF PERCOCET? I HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR APPROX 2 YEARS. WHAT ABOUT THE XANAX? I AM SO SORRY TO READ EVERYONE'S STORIES...
Avatar f tn With some other drugs, like oxicodone,(Percocet), refills are not an option and the prescription needs to be picked up in person, and written by the doc on every occasion. I am even wondering if most patients even know that there are better and stronger drugs available for pain control than Advil, or Tylenol. Of course, unless the situation becomes more advanced, most patients do not need every day use of narcotics, and it's not the best idea, either.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. I suddenly feel not alone and can't tell you how much it means to me that you responded. As the tears run down my face it is further evidence that I need to be DONE with all pain medicine. For a quick past history, I've had 7 surgeries in the past 3 years with chronic pain in between...needless to say, I've been on many different pain medications and have gone through withdrawal on more than one occasion.
Avatar f tn talking to your doctor, and asking for refills. If you have a doctor that makes you feel this way, maybe you should consider finding another doctor. That being said, there are severe addiction risks with using narcotic medication. If this is what is worrying you, again I say: talk to your doctor. Be honest, express your concerns, but never feel embarrassed to tell the truth or ask for what you need. Remember, doctors are on our side.
Avatar f tn d be able to tell you when a refill is available. you can also check online if your pharmacy has that option - if they do offer online refills, of course, you'll have to register with their site.
Avatar n tn ve refilled two 60 count bottle 7.5mg. (total of 180) Refills are up. Is it too early to get a refill as the pharmacy would have to call the doctor or his PA?
Avatar f tn I'm a 56 year old grandmother and have been taking percocet for approx 5 years. I started with 15 mgs per day and am now up to 40 mgs per day. I stopped taking them cold turkey on New Years day. My doctor perscribes me 120 per month, I never took that many until recently. I take them for arthritis and fibromyalgia and they worked wonders for most of the past 5 years.
356518 tn?1322263642 I have to be honest with you I have not taken pure oxycontin, however I have taken percocet 7.5/350 and have not had to return to my dr. Now maybe it is different for pure oxycontin. Now my dr is putting my on Kadian and I don't really feel that I will have problems getting it. Now that is my dr.
Avatar n tn A new script is required for early refills unless you have refills and the Dr ok's the pharmacy to refill it early. The Dr has the final say and they will help you out but not on a regular basis. I would say once or maybe twice a year if you are taking your meds right and the Dr trust you. I have had to have mine refilled early many times because I was living in two different states but my doc knew my situation and knew I was not abusing them.
Avatar f tn I have heard that the physical part of withdrawl goes faster than the psychological. I have been abusing Vicodin and Percocet. I want to stop so badly. My life seems like I just wait for the days of the month to refill, thats how I get by. I want my old life back. I don't want to do this anymore. please give me some advice.
Avatar m tn I have had 16 knee surgeries from sports and have had chronic pain for seems like forever. I take either a vicodin or percocet mid day around noon and possibly another one before i got to bed. I have people and loved ones saying that i should get off them and i think to myself that its not thier legs that keep them up at night,am i wrong for thinking that? Do i have a problem? Why does a pill make me a bad person as they tell me for taking them or that why not just take advil.
Avatar f tn My surgon did x-rays and then told me to get my med refills from my family dr. Now my family dr is an *** he took away my pain meds. i understand i could get addicted but i can't take the pain. i am on 750mg robaxin and i take 2 every 4 to 5 hours. Tramadol 10mg 2 every 4 hours. did have dilaudid but he took me off it. im allergic to tylanol, ibuprophin they say limits what i can take. i dont know if this is expected i tried to tell my dr about it and im not being listened to.
Avatar n tn s now like to prescribe opana (oxymorphone) because it has very little to none euphoric or high feelings unless abused like snorting, plugging etc! I take opana er 10mg 2-3 times a a day along with percocet 10/325 tablet 3x a day! The opana is for around the clock relief and the percocet is taken with the opana to help with the pain while I wait for the opana to start working!
Avatar n tn t care). In October, I got my hands on 150 Percocet 10/325 .... and that made my addiction go from bad to worse - now taking 5-8 Percs a day (with Soma, and often with a rum and coke). When I couldn't get the Percocet refilled, I went back to Norco ... only now I increased the dosage to get the same effect. I was up to 10-12 a day. Anyway, I've begun a gradual "weaning" since December. It hasn't been easy, and I've had a lot of relapses ...
Avatar m tn ve been having back pain and insomnia since my surgery 4 months and was prescribed Percocet. My surgeon told me to see a PCP for more Rx and I did. I went to a family practice with 3 doctors and 1 FNP. Two weeks ago, the FNP prescribe me indocin, benadryl, and retin-a(other). None of these medications helped with my back pain and thurday 12/23 I saw the PCP again.
