So over the course of 2 days, I took 4 halves of Percocet. I cut them and half and took one in the morning and one at night for two days. Since then my chest and stomach have had a pulsing feeling of a sharp kind of hot pain. This pulse happens about once every minute or so.
At one time, I got a prescription for ibuprofen (which cost me less than buying it OTC.) My prescription was for 800 mg.ever 4 hours. But you have to make sure to protect your stomach. If you do this with your doctor's guidance, they'll determine whether you need something like Prilosec or Zantac, or if you're okay without it.
I personally find ibuprofen to be one of my best meds. If I need to take a narcotic, it helps the narcotic work better and longer.
I have been on different pain meds depending on which doctor I was seeing. These include, tylenol 3, percocet, hyrocodone and talwin. It is two weeks since surgery and I decided to stop taking pain meds as the pain from surgery is getting better. I stopped cold turkey and yesterday had horrible panic attacks. Are painic attacks associated with withdrawal from pain meds. Should I go back to taking them and slowly taper them down?
On Sunday, 12/26 I called my routine pharmacist and told her to cancel the diclofenac and percocet. I didnt trust this prescription or the pharmacy. I thought everything was good and I will pick up my Sonata on Monday. Well, Monday 12/27 came and a new pharmacist told me she had to verify all 3 of my controlled substances. I guess the pharmacist on Sunday didn't cancel the percocet/diclofenac or who knows. Anyway, the new pharmacist told me the doctor hasn't verified my prescription.
My back was in excruciating pain so without asking my pain Dr or my obgyn I just started taking my leftover percocet prescription. I did some research first to make sure this wasn't going to harm the fetus. But now I'm past 38 weeks and I fear the baby may test positive for opiates & cps may be called. I'm also concerned the baby may go through withdrawel. There's about 11 days to my due date. If I completely stop now, will they be out of the baby's urine?
I take Opana 20 mg bid. I take 1-2 Percocet 10/325 for breakthrough. I've ran out of Percocet. I have some Opana 15 mg that I cut into 1/4ths. I took 1/4 and felt better. I know it says not to cut or crush it, I'm just trying to replace the Percocet till I can get another prescription. Tanks.
Thanks Ladies! I did talk to my pharmacist about this and they said that if taken in moderation and not for a great length of time we are both safe. I've only taken one percocet since I got the prescription and tried to do other alternatives (more food, water, resting, etc) and it has seemed to help some. Thanks for all the advice.
ve tried it. The only thing that seems to work is Percocet. A few months ago the dr said she seems to think the pain is in so many words "in my head" she seems to think the Percocet is causing me to think I am in pain. She started tapering me down from 3 325mg/5mg a day to 1 a day.
I had my Percocet RX filled on the 10th of this month in West Virginia, where I have just moved. How soon can I get another Percocet RX filled? In my last state there was a three day rul. So I could get the RX filled on the 7th!
It's been a bad month and I'm going to need it sooner than the 10th, so what's the guideline or rule in West Virginia?
My doctor gave me a prescription of Ambien CR. I thought it was harmless enough, after all the commercials said "non-narcotic". Well needless to say, I traded one hell for another. It was harder to break the grips of the sleeping pills than the hydros. I almost killed myself by driving while I was totally asleep and once when I woke my husband up holding his pistol and asking "how does this work". OMG it was a nightmare. Good luck on the sleep.

My dr prescribed norco 10/325 2x aday and percocet 10/325 2xday for herniated disc and pinched sciatic nerve but didn say how to take it...have called him but havn't had a return call...Please help!!!

He was leaving town and didn't have a triplicate prescription pad (which you need for Percocet) so gave me T4s. Scared me enough that I don't want to be back on them.
What do you take mellie4 for your pain in your joints? I know, I have decided that narcotics are not the thing to do. I am now taking Tylenol Arthritis regularly every 8 hours and it helps with some of the pain. Just seeing my family dr.
This time it was 30 milligrams of vicodin, with a two month prescription of percocet 10 milligram mixed in at three times a day. I tapered the percocet and 36 hours ago quit the vicodin. My body feels achy, but I havent had the restless leg which was a night mare last november and I have yet to have diareeham, and i have slept more than i did when I quit before. I am praying that these last 40 hours are just toying with me and it will hit me all at once.

My husband whom I left to a percocet addiction recently received a Tylenol with Codeine prescription for his "BACK PAIN". Shouldn't he not have this narcotic due to his severe addiction to oxycodone?

i am having a horrible tooth ache its my wisdom tooth it needs to be pulled but it cant be extracted until wednesday so this morning i took a vicodin 750 mg but i dnt have any left when the pain kicks back in can i take a percocet 10 mg and it want interact with the vic in my body thanx for your time
I would say he should space out the pills and try to cut down by 5 mg a day. See if his doctor can write him a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep.
Clonidine is very helpful for the creepy-crawly feeling and control of blood pressure variations. It will make the withdrawals easier.
I have taken generic percocet for about a year. Not daily at first, strictly recreational. They made me more energetic, strangely enough. I have anxiety/depression and take prescription Effexor. It helps, but I do just what I HAVE to, like work and try to help with basic chores.
Anyway, I don't have time to give all the details, but here is my question/problem. I believe my use has become abus/addiction. I have not done any for two days and feel like hell.
