Why would the corner rule that as she was found hovering over the tolilet trying to trow up all her Roxie's. She was on an all night drinking binge and mixing xanaxes oxies and who knows what else. It's another reminder of addictions ending. This news makes me feel overwhelming sad. Sometimes I feel so lonely now. It's a raw emotion.

My Dad was recently put on oxycontin- short term- for hip pain. He is having surgery next week. My Mom called telling me that Dad was having to concentrate on his breathing, was dizzy and having problems concentrating. I told her to bring him to the hospital. I will be leaving to meet them but I thought that these were all signs of a overdose. I really haven't had these signs when I was abusing so I am not sure. Can anyone enlighten me?
can taking methadone and percocet togeather cause overdose wich can lead to a stroke? I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes. My brother died from drug overdose on 2/16/09. Autopsy was performed & I just got word that the cause of death has been determined. Acute combined intoxication of alprazolam w/oxycodone. Alprazolam found in his system was 0.46 mcg & oxycodone was 0.19 mcg. He was taking Xanax for anxiety disorder, but had no script for oxycodone.
s response. I am on 30 mg of morphine sulfate ER twice a day with up to 35 mg of percocet a day for breakthrough pain (about to switch to Opana ER tomorrow...maybe). I have taken the max of 35 mg of percocet in one day before along with 60 mg of morphine sulfate ER.

t seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place. So my question is when would symptoms begin to show and when would death occur. I don't need exact times but if toxicity showed hours after an over dose and death came days after it would give me a timeline which is all I'm looking for. Thank you.
I admit my own naivity on the subject, so I leave it to one of you to help understand. I have come in contact with Percocet, which contains 2.5MG of Oxy, but then I also see an 80mg Oxy tablet on the market. Is the 80mg a time released version? I ahve taken 10/325 percocet for years and recently my doctor has put me on fentanyl patches. She told me to try 1 25mg and if no help then apply 2 to total 50mg. I am wondering if I will suffer withdrawls from the change? Iknow it takes a while for the patches to get into your system, will I suffer w/d symptoms during this time?
My sister died July 28, 2011 from her addiction to percocet. I just want anyone reading this to know that it can happen to you. She left behind a loving family. We miss her very much. My sister started taking pain medication after a car accident 7 years ago.
Unfortunately, today I find out that his best friend passed away of a heroin overdose, and my boyfriend has no idea. I cannot contact him directly, but I had his mother try to contact his counselor to see what he thought was best for my boyfriends recovery.

Sadly he had recently been doing a detox himself and decided to catch a buzz again ... the shot was too much and he died as a result of an accidental overdose..................
Over a year ago I took a overdose of BP meds along with alcohol which landed me in the hospitol. I had been seeing a PCP for 4 yrs prior for neck and shoulder injurys, he had me on percocet 7.5/500. When I went for my appt. I honestly told the NP what happened, I was immediately taken off pain meds, told to get counseling with notes brought to them and I have not been able to recieve a pain med since.
Recently I read that if you take more than 40 mg of OxyContin at one time then it can cause death or permanent brain damage. Well when I was ages 14 and 16 I took one of my mom's 80 mg OxyContin pill and I remember I felt like throwing up for like 16 hours straight. I took it in the evening, went to bed, and woke up the next day still very nauseous. I started to feel completely fine about 20 hours after I took it.
My boyfriend of 7 years has been recreationally abusing percocet for some time now. We have a 5 year old son together. He knows that I have never been ok with him using them for recriational purposes and I have made that VERY clear to him several times. We have actually separtated for almost a year because he was not willing to kick the "bad influences" or abusing the drug. He made me out to be the crazy psycho girlfriend because I was never ok with it.
