percocet migraine

to anyone out there. i was wondering if 10mg of percocet a day is going to addict me. i have migranes due to withdraws from xanax.

IS A PERCOCET 30MG THE SAME THING AS OXYCONTIN?? I HAVE A HORRIBLE MIGRAINE AND GOT 2 FROM MY UNCLE WAS WONDERING ABOUT THEM???

As of this posting, I am taking Percocet 10/325 5 times a day and Xanax 2mg twice a day for chronic migraines. I have been on everything made for migraines with no relief. The percocets are starting to wear off sooner than they should. What would be the next step up from Percocet. I want to be able to ask my doctor about taking something a bit stronger to see if it helps. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

i am having a horrible tooth ache its my wisdom tooth it needs to be pulled but it cant be extracted until wednesday so this morning i took a vicodin 750 mg but i dnt have any left when the pain kicks back in can i take a percocet 10 mg and it want interact with the vic in my body thanx for your time

k guys, today is day 15 clean from vicodin. my question is, i woke up with a migraine sooo bad i cant even see straight. took motrin with no relief. this is why i started gettin the pills was because of the terrible headaches. this is my ?... my mom who does not know about my addiction has 2 percocets left over from a procedure she had months ago. percs have never been my doc but mom keeps callin screamin at me askin why i wanna just sit here in pain when she has medicine...

t to say you take Percocet for every migraine (depending on frequency). I only take it once or twice a month, despite having migraines more frequently. He said once or twice a month is still considered safe for the baby.

I was taking 5mg of Percocets for about 3 months only took about 1 to 2 pills almost everyday. I started taking them for my teeth i had a couple pulled and the dentist would prescribe them and i started getting addicted and started getting them from a friend off the streets. I didnt think i was an addict because i was only taking 1 or 2 a day . so i quit cold turkey because my supplier could not going to get them anymore.

Oh, I am also on MS contin at night (one) extended release, but I still feel it when I am out of percocet. I thought they were both opiates, so why do I get w/d when I am out of percocet? Is it my miond? UGH I hate this, but I also hate being in so much pain I cannot walk.

I'm 8 wks PG and have started having bad headaches and migraines. Tylenol isn't working so the Dr. prescribed percocet. I'm a little hesistant to take it but figure my Dr. wouldn't prescribe it if it wasn't safe. Has anyone else had this prescribed to them for pain? Did you have any side effects while taking it? Thanks.

Percocet isn't a 'migraine' medcine its a narcotic pain reliever.

Thank you for your informative comment. I only take it as a one off for a migraine which might last for 36 to 48 hours. However, then I seem to have 1 or 2 days of utter withdrawal, (just as bad as coming off years of MS Contin). I have thrown them out now, because of your advice.Some docs should be tarred and feathered- I asked for non-narcotic pain relief and they assured me this was fine. I shouldn't have to go to the net to 2nd guess my doc.

How fo u get rid of a migraine thats safe for pregnancy???

Anyone that's already had their baby, what can you take for migraine while breast feeding? Besides Tylenol it's worthless. I've had this migraine since Thursday and I don't want to go to quick care, they'll give me a morphine shot and idk If it's safe while nursing? Any advice is appreciated I know I'm in the wrong place but nobody answers the bf forum...

I have been suffering with headaches/migraines a lot in my lifetime, however, for the past six years, I have had a migraine that is constantly there. I do not have times where I am not in pain. I have seizures, this can vary from having hardly any, to having more than one a day. It is worse the more severe the pain is.

I was in the ER last night with a horrific migraine that begin on Monday. The ER doctor felt it was related to the norco and advised I stop taking it. Instead, he prescribed percocet. He believed it was a better drug for me to be on since I have taken it before with little to no side effects. The norco made me sick to my stomach, and when I took it to help with the migraine it provided no relief. My tummy still hurts every day.

The last time I was there, they gave me percocet for my migraine. My doctor was actually the one who gave it to me. So yes, I have had to take them during pregnancy. BUT only under strict observation from my doctor. Normally, I just take tylenol if I have pain.

Tylenol is as safe as it gets.....i took Benadryl drowsy and it put me to sleep and i woke up feeling great! benadryl is safe too!

It's sad that we have to worry so much about every little thing. I take it you were having a bad migraine or you were having a Lupus flare up when you took the Percocet? I'm just guessing and asking. Are you being under medicated for your medical conditions? I agree with the above posters, it depends on how in depth the test is. You'll have to wait to see what the results are. At least the nurse didn't flip out on you and that's good thing.

Hi and welcome! You will find lots of advice and support here. That's great that you are down to 40-40 mgs. Are you doing this with a doctors help? As far as Prozac, that is an antidepressant right? I would definately wait until you are completely off the Oxy and through withdrawals before quitting the Prozac. You should also do that under a doctors care. Are you prescribed these medications? Feel free to share your story and provide some more information.

Hello! I've been taking percocet 5-325 for 2 years now [prescribed 4 per day] for a herniated disk/sciatica. My current PCP has been on my worker's comp case since the start. Suddenly, someone in that Dr. office [the woman I spoke to refused to tell me the name of the worker] claimed that I am switching Dr's, therefore my Dr. has decided to drop my case [for just cause, obviously]. However, now I am out of percocet...

Thank you feeling a little bit better just was a little scared because I know it has codeine in it and didn't want to harm my precious unborn son. But they told me if it doesn't help go to the emergency room. Because I've been suffering now three days with the migraine can't sleep It even has my neck hurting. This is my second pregnancy my son is five. And I'm due with a another little boy in 13 weeks.

.I am 27 days percocet free! Yea! I also in the past was an alcholic. I didn't drink anymore until I tried to quit the percocet. Now I am 27 days free from alcohol and percs. I was taking about 8-10 percs (10-325) for about a year. Before I took Vicodin for 2 years but not abuseing it. I am very happy to be clean but I am suffering terribly from joint pain in legs and headaches. I take Advil for joint pain and if the headache is bad I take Excedrin.

I have been having headaches for several weeks straight now. Some tmes severe, sometimes with some sharp stabbig pain in the left side of head. I have had two MRI tests that show possible ischenic episodes with "white foci in the frontal lobe". My family dr thinks possible mini strokes, but I can't get in with a neurologist for three more weeks. I have tried Neurontin, Percocet, Tramadol, Ibuprophen with no releif. I just got a new script for Fiorinol and not tried it yet.
