Avatar m tn So the first night (Tuesday night) I took the new dose of Percocet (at 9pm) and my Klonopin and Trazadone (at 10pm) and went to sleep. Nothing strange occured or was reported. Last night, I took the new disage of Percocet all day (as prescribed). I took my last dosage at 8:45pm and then took my Klonopin at 10pm. I did not take my Trazadone because I was really, really tired already. And I am never tired! Anyway, I did feel a little shortness of breath before I fell asleep.
Avatar m tn Well to make a long story short Im a 17 year firefighter and had a L5 S1 spinal fusion in nov of 2008 and started taking percocet since the surgery.Have been on them for right at a year.I decided i was finished with this **** and decided to go cold turkey wednesday last week at 4:00 PM was my last percocet.
Avatar f tn Are there any home remedies for this withdrawl. Mostly so I can sleep. I have all the other syptoms,I wont list them you know what they are. At first I took 20-25 a day/I used suboxone and cleaned up. Recently I find my self taking between 10 and 12 one weekend night. Here comes the withdrawl all over again. Not only did i drop this but marijuana, subboxone, xanax, and alchol, were all also dropped yesterday as well. Its day 2 and i barley made it through work.
Avatar n tn Which the OB told my husband and mother was much needed, as I had not passed much of anything yet. They gave me a script for percocet and sent me home. My mom took care of me the rest of the week, but I only took 2 percocet and then went down to advil. (Percocet does not agree with me, but that is a whole different issue) Anyway, my mom babied me, but really after a few days of rest I was fine. I had minimal bleeding, and was not even that sore.
Avatar f tn New here and after looking around decided I might try to reach out for some advice. Chronic pain is the hardest thing to get someone to understand unless of course they have been through it. Background: Began with a spine issue, assorted lower back pain and such years ago. I saw my gp, had an MRi turned out to have minor bulges, arthirtis and a bunch of other small things I can't remember.
Avatar m tn So I’ve been taking pain meds for nearly 7 years for medical and then recreational use. Was recently averaging 100mg daily of Percocet. I do have a legal script and continue to misuse my meds. Finally have came to the crossroads and ran short on meds. Made the decision just days before that this is and started weaning down somewhat. So withdraws began during the weaning process about 72 hours ago. Took 45 mg yesterday and down to 10 mg today @ 630 AM; now 1:16.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Percocet for severe muscle spasms in my back. Usually 1 or 2 would nip the spasm before it got too bad. Then I discovered it helped me sleep also! I also found it helped my mood, i.e., made me more talkative to my husband, more interesting. You all know the rest of the story. I am on day 9 without taking any Percs - but I've made a terrible mistake in taking Ambien, Valium or Xanax to help me sleep.
562343 tn?1233601924 I am trying the taper method you spoke about..In the last 12 hours I have only taken two percocet at 3am when I couldnt sleep anymore..had had nothing since 4pm yesterday...I have not taken any Oxy IR's since one yesterday morning so almost up to 24 hrs on that one and no T3's since as well...figure only two percocet when I got up instead of 4 with a 20mg IR and some T3 has to be a step in the right direction isnt it??? Thanks for the advice...check your inbox ..i answered your msg..
Avatar f tn Have any of you mastered the art of sleeping while pregnant? This is my 2nd baby and I'm already MISERABLE trying to sleep (16 weeks along). It seems worse this time, I'm guessing bc I had a severe back injury after my son was born. I'm just desperate now. I've bought pregnancy pillows, tried propping up, and other pillows between my legs or under my feet. I can't seem to sleep more than 30 mins without waking up in pain. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn the tylenol in perks is bad for u on a daily basis on your liver/kidneys. but, im not a dr. why not try and talk to your dr about getting on a pain reliever with little to no tylenol that is longer lasting?
Avatar m tn what can i do for withdrawals for percocet. I am trying to take my self off at home. can you help me please. fefe1953 thank you.
Avatar f tn The overwhelming feeling of fatigue had me hopefull for a good night of sleep. I maybe got 3 hours of sleep that night due to the uncontrolable bouts of restless leg syndrom, unusually in my arms though. Activon joint & muscle analgesic stick helped me get some much needed relief. You can buy it at walmart near the bend gay & icy hot patches. Day 4) Still felt extremely exhausted but a tad bit better then the day before, but not much.
Avatar m tn A friend of mine is snorting percocet and she hasn't had any for at least a day. She is starting to go thru withdraw. How long will this last and is there anything I can do to help her get thru it? It kills me inside to stand by and watch her suffer.
Avatar m tn OMG....don't take anything! You are just going to add to the problem that you are trying to fix! Time is the only help with the insomnia. It does get better. If you take another pill, even a low dose, you risk staying in this situation for a longer time. Supplements will help, like abritt said. It is not a quick fix, but it will help you. Good luck! DON'T take anything, ok?!!!
Avatar m tn Hello, I am writing to get some advice. I have been addicted to percocet mainly for hmm about 3 years now. I was addicted to speed as a teen and quit that and then at about age 30 I fell into pain meds. Really any pain meds I could get my hands on. At this point I have been going to a pain clinic for a condition that is not really there to get the meds and then when I run out of those I an getting them off the street, I am up to 4 30mg tablets a day.
Avatar m tn Hi! Thanks for the congrats! I'm getting there. But I'm still a little worried about caving again. And I only think that because I was hooked for 15yrs. My tolerance was very low for the first 12 yrs. I would only take a 1/4 of a 5mg one at a time and that would last me 6 hours. But when it was harder to get the 5s I had to resort to stronger ones which I would take all at once and then my tolerance just grew to 5 30mgs a day. I need to make a correction in my original post.
Avatar n tn Hi, Welcome to the forums! :) You have already taken the first step to getting away from the pills, and if this is truly what you want you can kick this habit! You will have a few days where it is going to seem rough, it will be like getting a flu for about 4 days, after that it should start to get better. It is best if you can have time off from work. You may wanna get some pepto or immodium, you will need to drink plenty of fluids, juice water etc.
Avatar m tn A lil over three years ago I got hurt at work and got prescription Percocet for 4 - 6 months. They prescribe me 10 mg Percocet and I begin to do them everyday. After a year I went to roxy 15s for two years.. I began to depend on this pill everyday in fact every few hours, I would be so high on Percocet I would over work my body and pay for it the following few days and giving my self a reason to want to take more then 4 a day..
Avatar f tn I will live with pain for the rest of my life. I was prescribed oxyxontin 40mg 3 times a day plus 10mg Percocet for breakthrough pain. After my botched hip replacement (at age 51) I was searching for a magic cure and was willing to take the pain killers. When I realized this would be forever I wanted to stop the opiates. My doctor gave me a slow withdrawal - every week I went to a lower dose 2 times a day. But when I got to 10mg the schedule was 10mg once a day. Huh?
Avatar m tn You need to figure out how you can get a week off from any major commitments so you can have some time to get thru the worst of the wd's which last about 4 days..Day 5 and 6 will be slightly better, but nothing to yell and scream about with a "woppie!"..Then find someone that can help with the kids as during these 4 days, your going to be like "zero energy",,going to be getting mood swings from h*ll, aggitated from the lack of sleep that hits, etc..
701334 tn?1262853503 It seems to be related to a recent Percocet prescription (of all things). The less Percocet I take, the less of this type of pain I have when I wake up.
Avatar f tn Yeah thats quite a bit of Percocet...sorry I misunderstood. Well hopefully you can figure out a good tapering schedule that fits your needs. And like I wrote above...if you have someone to help and distribute your meds according to the schedule...it does help a lot.
Avatar f tn Percocet is in Category C for affects on the baby. You probably already know the following, but just in case: What is Category C? Category C Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks. https://www.drugs.com/pregnancy-categories.html https://www.rxlist.com/percocet-drug.
