I agree with jollyman069 i have cp and because people want the drugs for recreational use i go through hell trying to get my pain treated

I just found out that I'm 6-8 weeks pregnant. I am, or should I say was, a recreational drug user. In the last two months I smoked pot regularly and took approx. 3 vicodin 10mg and 1 percocet 10mg to help with back pain from a car accident. I don't regularly use pain meds and am far from addicted, I am just so worried that those couple pills hurt my little one. :( help!

I have taken generic percocet for about a year. Not daily at first, strictly recreational. They made me more energetic, strangely enough. I have anxiety/depression and take prescription Effexor. It helps, but I do just what I HAVE to, like work and try to help with basic chores. Anyway, I don't have time to give all the details, but here is my question/problem. I believe my use has become abus/addiction. I have not done any for two days and feel like hell.

One thing i want to explain is that i have injuries due to an accident so the percocet that i take is not for recreational use. I use it as needed. my dilema is this i Feel as if its safer to stay off the withdrawl meds.( suboxone ) due to the greater amounts of toxins opposed to the percocets themselves, because is it still sooo early in the pregnancy. My ultimate goal is to not be dependent on these meds the whole pregnancy.

Am I a candidate for suboxone if I take ten percocet tens a day and use coricidin on a regular basis?

So I’ve been taking pain meds for nearly 7 years for medical and then recreational use. Was recently averaging 100mg daily of Percocet. I do have a legal script and continue to misuse my meds. Finally have came to the crossroads and ran short on meds. Made the decision just days before that this is and started weaning down somewhat. So withdraws began during the weaning process about 72 hours ago. Took 45 mg yesterday and down to 10 mg today @ 630 AM; now 1:16.

Taking pain pills for real pain is far safer than for a recreational high. A few weeks after the tooth pain was gone I had 12 Percocet left and decided to have a few 'fun' weekends getting a little buzzed hear & there and felt some withdrawal after. What a great lesson in how great pain pills are for real pain, and how horrible they are when abused. I hope my story gives you some info & comfort going into your dental work.

I was really naive to to think that pills were not a big deal... it seemed harmless in comparison to other methods of recreational drug use that I put my body through. I have been taking pain medication for 3 years now. The withdrawal is so hard it feels. I just want to know is there any, and i mean ANYTHING, that aids with this opiate withdrawal?? I start feeling anxious and sweaty within 6 hours from my last dose. Diarrhea that feels like lava.

And I am not even sure if you could call coke use recreational - for the people that really like it (your BF is one) there is no recreational use a time or two a month or whatever. Its a slow ride downhill to all of the negatives you have heard about it. I cant make your mind up for you - but I would say if your BF says he wont marry you without the other girl along .... send him packing. Perhaps have him read some things from the Grandfather of coke himself - Sigmund Freud......

I have recurring back pain, very hard to live with, its the initial reason i ever started on pain pills. Its true you can use them for pain, but welcoming them back in my life for ANY reason messes with me. and I find myself back again, telling myself i'll just take them for pain, but guess what.....I'm on them again now after having quit 3 times.....it is the pain that gets me going again every time. If i were you I'd skip them if at all possible. Don't be like me.

So, I have been on Percocet 10 mgs, for about a year now. I also get epidural blocks about every 2 months. I take about 6 a day, which is what I am prescribed. My question is what is going to happen to me if I stop taking these abruptly, because honestly I'm scared that my body is addicted. Will I die from withdrawals of this? I'm just really scared. Also, I worry what it's doing to my body, like my liver. And if I stop, I will have severe pain in my neck.

You posted asking if it's ok to use recreationally not long ago, I think you got your answer just like we told you. Addicts can't use once, it just opens the door for us to spiral down and with each relapse it gets so much harder. Are you really ready to quit, because your stealing his pills and thinking 1 here and there is ok. You should focus more on the mental part, than w/d's, get some type of aftercare and talk to your hubby about this again.

To joke about some one considering taking cocaine for recreational use who has had three bypass surgeries and is taking blood thinners is just a little reckless. Takes all kinds I guess........................

He has admitted to me that he takes pills (I think he said Percocet), but he said it was occasionally. He had a short stint with heroin, but I hear it's really addicting. He works in an emergency room, and is EMT certified, so he knows all about where to inject the ****, and he's been really sneaky lately. I just don't know what to do. His side effects are that of heroin and recreational pills, so how can I tell which one?

NOT FOR LONG...YOU MAY START OUT ONLY ON WEEKEND BUT IT WILL escalate. i used coke for 5 years heavily and i started out only on the weekends. before long it was everyday all day and every night all night. it is a horrible drug the eventually completely robs you of yourself.

I've been using regularly for about 2 years now. I cannot go to rehab because of certain circumstances. I've been clean for a few days now but have been using suboxine to help. When i try to sleep I suddenly feel my body jolt and jerk. I do not know whether this is from the suboxine or from stopping the percocet. Please help! with any other suggestions with helping to stop!

But everything i read says not,, my pharmacist said it is possible to use as a pm drug but more drs use for detox.. I will talk to him but only when i can be off of them. Twice he has said no just keep taking. So i will do it myself.

my doc says to stay on for years but we all know thats how they make cash , im starting again on monday , i have been taking 9 - 12 percocet 10mg pills per day , i have been on and off sub for yrs now but i always go back to the painkillers cause i feel that when i take the sub it gets weeker after a while and dosent work plus i feel like i have the flu while on , so knowing im coming off 100mg of percocet per day what kind of subutex taper is good and whats the quickest i can do it in ?
