Common Questions and Answers about Percocet for cats

percocet

Avatar f tn ve read on holistic info sites that BUPRENORPHINE is the best and SAFEST pain med for cats....I know thats the one my Vet uses too. Is this for long term use?
Avatar f tn Yeah thats quite a bit of Percocet...sorry I misunderstood. Well hopefully you can figure out a good tapering schedule that fits your needs. And like I wrote above...if you have someone to help and distribute your meds according to the schedule...it does help a lot.
740516 tn?1360942486 Typical canned tuna for humans has too much sodium for cats. Lots of cats enjoy treats of cooked chicken and turkey, but I would avoid the processed "lunch meat" variety in quantity because of the salt and other additives. Onions are toxic to cats, but I don't believe there is harm in other vegetables and fruits if your cat likes them.
Avatar n tn Percocet is a strong, habit forming, opiate medication. It is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It should never be used in any other way, for any other reason, unless there was some unusual circumstance that your doctor dictated the usage of Percocet for some other purpose. The BEST thing to do, always, if you're having an issue, or problems with your medications, is to discuss the options with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Hi and welcome to MedHelp. I also take percocet along with neurontin (gabapentin). The gabapentin is very similar to lyrica. I drink coffee 4-5 days per week and I haven't encountered any issues and I have been on percocet for almost a year and gabapentin for almost 2 years. I don't think there are any severe reactions when coffee is mixed with percocet or lyrica or both.

228686 tn?1211554707 t give you anything for it because it is normal in some cats. But it is good for the vet to know as much as possible about their patients, right? And, hopefully, Jade will not experience allergic reaction to Revolution. I do recommend it.
3140169 tn?1342848421 Hello! I recently adopted a big 'ol tabby cat, he's about 3 years old and neutered. I've taken care of cats all my life, and I know how to deal with them. I bought a huge thing of dry kibble as I have done for years with my previous cats. However, recently I've been doing some research regarding proper nutrition for cats and apparently they get most of their moisture from the food they eat.
1657684 tn?1307375035 Hi, Cats shouldn't eat really anything except meat - this is ideal diet. So good quality dry food, cans without veggies and rice in them, no bread, no pasta - cats don't digest carbohydrates, that's why he gets watery, smelly stools. Diet change is not going to be easy, but you should try it. I keep my fingers crossed!
Avatar f tn so a year ago I went to my doctor about it when it became unbearable..She put me on Percocet, very low dose, and I took it the correct way, small amount, as needed for pain. Then I was sent to a pain management place and my dosage was increased..shortly thereafter, I went through a terrible breakup and I became so depressed that the pills became my comfort and I took more than I should. I ran out early every month and struggled those last few days before my doc appointment.
Avatar f tn by Springtime Inc. (just throw on top of food for dogs, for cats, crush up with back of spoon and mix in with wet food ) and it seems to make everyone noticebly more energetic/healthier. (My 17.5 year old cats used to sleep 24/7, now they are going outside, running around the house, chasing each other, etc...
Avatar m tn I moved in with my new wife, where she had been living for about 6 months. Shortly after that, we got two cats that had been her parents, that they didn't want. Both cats were healthy and about 10 years old. A few months later, one of the cats started having asthma attacks. We took her to the vet, who diagnosed the asthma and started her on steroids. A few months later, the other cat also started having asthma problems, and also got started on steroids.
Avatar f tn A vet once told me that Purina one is good for cats.

Avatar f tn Her daughter has mental retardation. She swears up and down she didn't touch cat poop but you don't know for sure. Cats can carry the feces anywhere in the house by having on their paws. They walk everywhere on counters, pillows, couches. Maybe you don't wipe your table before making food on it. Or there's small pieces on the carpet you walk on.
Avatar f tn The cats thank you, and say to tell you they know they're beautiful. Oh, do they know! The 4-5 month old kitten carrying the balloon all around the house tonight is a Tonkinese, as are her mother and her maternal aunt. The cat on the right is a Burmese (apparently the Burmese people had to get themselves all the colors of the rainbow, too). She is the kitten's paternal aunt.
Avatar m tn I am aware of topical medication for mites --Revolution being one-- but are there oral ones, specifically for cats to help combat mites? For the record, the cats don't appear to be infested themselves. I don't see excessive itching, bald spots, mange, etc. Are there other symptoms to look for, and how may I go about treating them? I sprinkled DE outside on the ground where they congregate and in their outdoor housing. I know DE works with fleas, but I'm not sure about mites.
874521 tn?1424116797 and my barn cats has become exhausted they have enough for now ..
Avatar m tn I have also use slippery elm bark (SEB) safely and continuously for both my cats for a number of reasons...if I find an actual site I will send it along later....don't be afraid of this, ask your Vet even...most know of its healing qualities...although they prefer to write a prescription for an antibiotic or steroids...yuk.
Avatar m tn m on a program. If he does, will Percocet even work? What would be a good dosage for me? Can anyone help me here? I truly appreciate your time. Thanks a bunch!
