I have been taking Percocet 5/325 then after the last mri finding 4 disc blown and pinched nerves doc increased to 10/325 I was fine with the 5 but taking the 10/325 I itch like &*(%^^# I was advised to take benedryl am I allergic?

Yes although dosage and frequency of usage does matter. In my experience morphine, high dosage oxycontin and methadone are the most effective (and the most addicting) pain killers.

ive been taking 2 to 3 percocet 5/325 everyday twice or 3 times a day for about 3 years. my doc wants me to switch to dilaudid. im wondering which is stronger? if i was to take one percocet id probably be dissapointed, will i be disapointed with one dilaudid? im just curious because percocet has always worked for me, and i need stronger pain meds. so is dilaudid 8mg stronger than percocet 5/325? thanks.

My question is what is the best medication for extended relief. The doc has me on 10/325 generic Percocet and 15mg of morphine sulfate. I am still in constant pain and my next appointment is 2 days from now. Is there a possible increase in dosage that might help or should I ask for another med?

I just found out I was pregnant at 10 weeks 3 days my obgyn said that th percocet was fine for me to continue howeveri would have to disconinue the other medications. My problem is tht the 5mg percocet was already not helping enough with my pain and now stopping the other medications its really not enough!

So he switched me to 10mg of percocet. He gave me 5 pills and I have used 3 in one week. I only can get a few every 2 weeks which i like because I dont want to have a bottle of like 30 pills lying around because I would def get addicted. I was given percocet 10/325 for pain for surgery and was told to take 1 - 1 1/2 pills every 4-5 hours. I'm opiate tolerant but 15mg every 4-5 hours seems like a lot. Also I have percocet 7.5/325 that says I can take 2 every 3-4 hours. Is this posing any possible over dose problems or health problem? This will only be taken for a short amount of time.No more than 2 weeks. Any advise on the saftey of this would be appreciated.

I was on the Norco 10/325 but had become immune to the Hydrocodone after being on it since 2003 and so they switched me to Percocet 10/325 (Oxycodone) but I just take a 1/2 pill (the equivalent of a 5/325 Percocet) every 8 hours or as needed. I cantake 1 full Percocet but I don't need it. Usually I will only take 1 a day maybe 2 when I have the BT pain. My goal is to not have to take so many pills because I take a total of 16 pills a day for OTHER med. problems (heart, BP, cholesterol, etc.

Im new to the forum so if I'm posting this in the wrong section I apologize. I am 26 years old and I am going in for my second knee surgery due to multiple patella dislocations. My first surgery was similar to a lateral release. Now my surgeon is going to try something more extensive. My question is after my first surgery I was given hydrocodone 10mg/325, which didn't do a whole lot.

I am having the same problem with my doctor. I was first on 120 5/235 percocets. I had to take 2 at a time ( my doctor always knew this ). I needed something for the night time, but she just put me on some muscle relaxers, flexeril, that helped me sleep..... a little, not much. Finally I had had enough. I went to her asking for one more dose of the percocet for night time. She instead put me on MS contin 15 mg 3x a day. I hated it. She also gave me 60 percocet 5/325 for breakthrough pain.

Today I was offered the lower dosage 5mg/325 pills. I am curious since it is such a lower dosage if I can take one at night to try and sleep until I cant completely ween myself off of the drugs. This has been the hardest struggle of my life thus far and I know with mind over matter I can make it but I'd still like to take these few low dosage percs to try and help ween myself off easier and help the withdrawls.

What drug are you talking about? I only know of Percocet being 5/325 & Lortab being 5/500. Then there's Norco that's 10/325, Lorcet 10/650 Lorcet Plus 7.5/750, Vicodin 5/550, Vicodin ES 7.5/750 & Vicodin HP 10/660. Unless I'm outta the loop.

I am taking Norco 10/325 which work for the pain but I am very concerned about the acetomophene and will start blood tests soon. What I want is a narcotic pain reliever that does not have tylenol in it but has the same effectiveness as the Norco 10/325. I take approximately 6 daily.

ve begun taking MS-Contin which is morphine (time released) 15 mg. twice per day. With that my doctor prescribes percocet 10/325 mg. for break through pain. Ok.......many years ago I had an Oxy addiction. Successfully came off with methadone and successfully tapered off methadone as well and had been clean for around 10 years. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I had pretty major surgery and was prescribed Percocet 7.5/325 (60). In about 3 weeks I've been through 210 7.5s. I'd take more than recommend dosage for the first few days of the script and then taper myself down to about 4 a day. I'd refill and do the same again.

My understanding is that they are both opiates, however, the Loratab (Vicodin/Hydrocodone) has NSAID (tylenoyl) included. That's why you may see a 5/325 or 10/500 on Loratab. It's 5mg of Loratab with 325mg of Tylenol.

Hi, I have been on Percocet 10/325 along with Neurontin, Flexeril, Valium for about a decade. I was switched to 75 MCG Fentanyl patch 2 weeks ago. Valium was stopped 3 weeks ago. The 1st week I could not sleep at all. Drowsy, though. Shaky, cold. My doctor said it was withdrawal. Now at week 2, I sleep about 2 hours, very shaky, freezing cold, (I never get cold) Absolutely miserable BUT have great pain relief. Must stay in bed.

I here about Loratab, Vicodin etc. I was on Roxicet (percs 5/325) which was bad enough. Are they all just about the same except for the opiate amount? I just want to know so when I here people talk about what they were on I will have some idea about how addictive they are.
