Avatar n tn I had hernia surgery and was prescribed percocet 10mg.. It been 2 months and have stopped them but feeling really depressed and anxious. How long will this take to subside??? I usually half the 10mg and take half at a time. at most take 5 halfs a day..???
Avatar f tn I have been taking generic oxycodone although I was prescribed percocet because I do not want to pay 30 bucks instead of the 10 buck co-pay. I am finding that they are not working as well as when I had the actual percocet. Is there a reason for this? By the way, I am new to this forum but I have been reading it for awhile (lurking) but this is my first post.
469720 tn?1388149949 Some people think it must cost a lot, since many drugs sell for more than $2.00 per tablet. We did a search of offshore chemical synthesizers that supply the active ingredients found in drugs approved by the FDA. As we have revealed in past issues of Life Extension, a significant percentage of drugs sold in the United States contain active ingredients made in other countries.
356518 tn?1322267242 I only know that I reached the Catastrophic level 2 months EARLIER than I ever have before so I KNOW that the Fentanyl Patches play a part in that but my guess is that the rise in the cost of the Percocet accounts for the rest of it. I just can't believe that this has happened. ...
Avatar n tn what is happeneing?? When is this going to get better??? My percocet withdrawls were nothing in comparison. What can i do??? i have to work tomorrow and i don't think i can. How long are these withdrawls going to last?!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn I am 14 days clean from a wicked percocet habit 20 a day at 10mgs each for 5 years and I went cold turkey so I know how you feel. I also said I couldnt do it. but remember the crying and the pain and everything you are going through so that it will be a deterent from you going back to the doc. the thomas reciepe is great and works hang in there it will be worth it and pray a lot GOD will help you he wont take it all away because you have to remember but he will lighten the load.
Avatar f tn hang in there, im on day 4 on a rapid detox from taking percocet 10/325, 14 pills or more a day, to taking 60 mgs of vicoden by no choice since i moved from hawaii to texas and am unable to get my medication. so i pretty much was forced in a good way. if i was back home i wouldnt even have thought to quit since my dr gave me 150 pills a week. the thomas recipe cost about 25 dollars from the vitamin shop to get all the items, im sure you can buy them from a walmart.
1884678 tn?1320830531 Overall I've been on methadone 3 years and 4 months to be exact, but overall medication it's been about 8 -9 years tops, which consist of percocet, Tramadol, methadone, and morphine. According to them its the morphine that led me here in the first place. They said that particular drug was like being addicted to hill billy heroin, i knew then and there i was in big trouble.
1331804 tn?1336870958 I can't believe how stupid I've been. I'm thinking of canceling my insurance which cost 5 hundred a month and go with alternative medicine and walk in clinics. Why should they be paid for giving us more pain and suffering. I don't trust doctors! I posted my sad story there. I asked my doctor that did my surgery to let me try Lyrica lets hope it works. I get about 4 hours a day where I can get around in comfort then the pain starts in again but I'm grateful some people don't even have that.
Avatar n tn The pain after was extreme, like nothing I expected, and I was on high dose dilotid for over a week, then weened onto percocet 10mg's and given a decent rx of them to take home. So long story short I was basically already hooked as I left the hospital, filled the script immediately, used them up over 2 weeks, on removal of stiches and recheck I talked my way into another percocet script and I was all kinds of hooked from there.
Avatar f tn As I understand it, everyone's medicare cost is different, for part B, dependent upon when they qualified. As I have been insured by my ex husband's employer, I haven't needed it. They cut me off with no notice, nothing in writing, no phone call, nothing. When already qualified for part B, they are supposed to get it started as of the next first of the month once you request it, but they are overwhelmed and I and I was told it realistically takes 2-3 months.
Avatar f tn This is the first time I have ever posted on anything like this but I too need lots of help, this is my 3rd time, and doing it CT since I'm not spending more money since my script is gone already. I have been taking percocet 10/325 for like 6 or 8 months,up to 10 a day, I have stopped for a small amount of time but due to the feeling of "I cant do this" or "I feel so crappy n tired" and so on I started back both times.
Avatar m tn One thing leads to another, and my final regimen of pain treatment was two 60mg OxyContin per day, and four 10mg/325 Percocet per day for breakthrough, which has been the case for about 3 years now. After some time, I began purchasing extra 10mg/325 Percocet off the street, because 4 per day just wasn't enough to satiate my desire. Let me be clear that the entire point of me taking the pills by this time was not to treat my pain, but the feel as euphoric as possible throughout the day.
307401 tn?1194835748 I went to the front and paid my $1400.00 and got a script for 10mg percocet. I was take 1-2 every 6hrs as needed #20. Well I felt no pain but filled them anyway because I knew all the opiate would wear off sooner or latter. I took the meds as directed. To make a long story short the 36 hours I started feel the withdrawal starting so I took a 16mg dose of suboxone, and felt fine 20 minutes later. You see I take 8mg every 6hrs for a total of 32mg of sub and lyrica for pain management.
Avatar n tn Then I will have a little time to get some cash together to go back to the doc and pay cash for the subs. What do they cost? thanx for long after the last vic can I take suboxone. I think I am just going to ride it out and when I feel bad take a 1 mg and see how I feel and so often. Then I can taper from the lowest dosage that I hopefully will now need after getting some of it out of me. an addict's reasoning? does that make sense?
Avatar m tn You can purchase this online or at Whole Foods for around $15 Also just buying milk thistle at walmart can help as well. Take 2 in the morning and 2 at night each day. Chose between the liver cleanse and milk thistle. Don't take both. Some other supplements that show liver improvement in mice with hepatitis and acetaminophen induced liver toxicity are N-acetylcysteine and glutathione which you can get at any GNC health store.
211940 tn?1267884866 I think I paid ~ $4/month with insurance. Even w/o insurance it still probably won't cost more than buying a months' supply of ibuprofin. Good luck.
676912 tn?1332816151 With that being said, I'm so sorry Josh is being an @$$ again. I'm home without a car once again. of course I'm taking high doses of percocet so that's probably not a bad thing, lol, but I know your pain. Josh has had my van since before Grey was born (actually since the end of June) and I WANT IT BACK @(#)*#@)(%*#)(%*#(%)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I can relate.
Avatar f tn I got out in June of this year about 2 weeks after getting back from deployment. The army gave me Percocet to help with the pain, but when I got out they cut off my prescriptions saying I needed to go to the VA now. It took me a month to get an appointment. With no prescription I started buying perc off the street, but not only for my back pain, but to numb me to the huge changes in my life. Even after my back healed I still took it all the time.
10683890 tn?1412897406 Hi everyone, I'm new here, just joined this forum today hoping to find a source of support as I try to taper off of oxycodone. It rules my life and I want to stop. I've been addicted to opiates since about 2009. I had a prescription for Vicodin 5/500 4x/day from 2009-2013, initially I took it as prescribed, but after a couple of years my use escalated to about double the prescribed dose. When I would run out early, I'd buy 5mg percocets to fill in the gaps between my prescriptions.
Avatar m tn I really hesitate to even entertain the idea of changing up to a percocet or something else because I do not want to get something so strong that in a couple of years i dont really want to be on morphine or something really hard.I already mix with motrin i was open for suggestions..the pain doctor told me to just stop taking them for a couple of weeks i am like damn that is kinda rough doc,but i did manage to stop for a couple of days and they did work better..
Avatar n tn my emotions are a wreck, and i'm feeling mad as hell and sad as hell at the same time. i wish i had a percocet to take. please don't be mad at me for saying that. but, it really would help me right now. you guys have all been so helpful to me, you'll never know. BUT -- have any of you felt the same way? is anybody out there truly familiar with my feelings right now? i feel like i'm dying inside. i want to find a hole and crawl inside and hide away.
Avatar f tn I walk just 4-5 lapse around the outside isles of walmart 5-6 times a week. That's bout all my body can handle. I've managed to lose 16 lbs since my surgery. I meet with my spine dr april 9th where he'll probably add new physical therapy besides just walking. How long did it take for ur back to stop hurting and did u go thru the stiff achy feeling and if so, how long did it last?
1450446 tn?1290616161 I took 2.5 mg of percocet yesterday morning, and have been trying to tough this out. I took class of today and tomorrow to get through this over the weekend, but my mind keeps telling me I should wean!! Than what was the point of taking off classes!! HELP!
1592423 tn?1297652362 rember to stock up on fluids gatoraid and apple juice are good they make some stuff call highlands restful legs its good for the wild kicking some people get you can find it at walmart in the vitamin/herbal isle...other then that hot baths seamed to help me the most...also attitude is the most important single thing you can bring to the table this is truly a battle one or lost in ones own mind....
1397648 tn?1288146526 You just hate to think you've made no progress after a lot of pain and cost, both to the insurance company and myself. Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both Linda and myself. This isn't as easy as you read about.
580352 tn?1218555987 Walking helps more then you know Make yourself walk it helps with leg back pain and also is good for the brain, do not lay there and toss and turn and go crazy read watch T.V walk.. They sell in the store Walmart Melatonin and Valerian root it will cost about 6 to 8 $ it helps with sleep, especially after a hot bath... Depression with what you are going through is natural but wd will intensify them so this will pass in time..
1926359 tn?1331591739 I have no idea what it would cost in the US without insurance but I am guessing a HUGE amount of money that is totally unrealistic. My number one priority here is preserving myself with minimal scar tissue so I am able to have children asap. I cannot risk having less than the best. Because of the severity of my endo and the various organs that are involved it is an extremely tricky surgery. The last surgery I had in 2010 had only been performed on one other patient in the world.
Avatar n tn Soon, your body will start producing dopamine again, the irritability and depression will go away. Take motrin for the achiness, and melatonin, a natural remedy found at any walmart or drug store for sleep. You will be fine. Cindy, a 10 year addict.
