I was prescribed percocet 5 about 6 years ago for endometriosis and other stomach problems. Well the doctors had me on these for about 2 years and moved me up to the 10s. In 2009 I was to be scheduled for a hysterectomy but we had to move. Once we got to the new state, I had to fight with doctors here to do the hysterectomy because of my age. Well at 29 (last year) I was able to get the hysterectomy done. Well after the surgery I tried to quit the pills but the withdrawal was insane.
You need to figure out how you can get a week off from any major commitments so you can have some time to get thru the worst of the wd's which last about 4 days..Day 5 and 6 will be slightly better, but nothing to yell and scream about with a "woppie!"..Then find someone that can help with the kids as during these 4 days, your going to be like "zero energy",,going to be getting mood swings from h*ll, aggitated from the lack of sleep that hits, etc..
Hi there. I'm a 24 year old female and the past 9 or 10 months have been taking percocets on and off. I go through periods of doing them and then don't for a week or two then I do them again. I started out take 2.5 - 5 mg and now take about 7 - 10 mg, but am worried because the bottom right portion of my stomach has been hurting the last couple days.
I have a couple questions concerning possibly having a tummy tuck done. I have 3 children and we are considering a fourth in the next year and a half. With each pregnancy, my abdomen has become more stretched and I'm left with an "overhang" or an "apron" of tissue no matter how many toning exercises I do.
I went to the health food store and bought a body cleanse kit. Apparently the reason for my stomach and bowel problems was because I was so backed up. Not to be gross but sometimes I would not have a bowel movement for a week, and when I did it looked like rabbit turds. Obviously this is very bad for your colon to have all that **** staying in there. The cleanse was a 2 week process and every day I started to feel a little bit better, I even lost weight, (lol).
By the way. Percocet , and Vicodin are both a category C. "It is not known whether Percocet is harmful to an unborn baby, but it could cause breathing problems or addiction/withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. "

Over a 4 month period I was Rx'd Vicodin 10-325 tab, Percocet and than Roxicet for pain related to b/l rotator cuff tears. I was not advised to take a stool softener and at times was very constipated. About 4 weeks after one shoulder surgical repair and when I was using Vicodin intermittently, I than developed gastritis. Zantac calmed my system after three weeks and was than discontinued. Now I have a heavy feeling in my stomach and significant burping. My bowel has also slowed.
Stay addicted, and remain there, or bear with it and eventually come out the other side clean and feeling better. And you will. In about 7 days, take them one by one you will feel so much better. You won't be perfect because there is a lot to repair. But the main symptoms will have subsided. Hang tough.
I have been cutting down on my meds and am having all day anxiety. I just cut down by a quarter of the 5mg percocet pill and today I have been nervous, restless and feel like there is a pit is my stomach. Can this small amount cause anxiety or could it be something else? I have not had problems with anxiety in the past- except when I CT off Fentanyl.
Yes I have back problems and a l/knee problems, My Dr gives me 4 ea a Day Percocet 10/325 how many in a 24 hour period can i take without it bothering me as far as too Much, Sometimes I go to bed Hurting so bad that I cant sleep very good at all. I only take them when I hurt but would it be safe to take another one at night to go to bed that would be 5 a Day spaced out over 24 hours, Thanks for yalls advise.
I'm I having withdrawl or not I stopped taking percocet 40 hrs ago and lying in bed tonight my hands and shoulders were aching so bad I was tossing and turning I got up and took 2 10's Percocet and 1 10 Oxycontin and now I'll spend the rest of the night in my recliner , The question is, is my pain a reaction to stopping the Percocet . I've gone through this time and time again only to have the pain over whelm me .
If I need to take a narcotic, it helps the narcotic work better and longer. But it can cause stomach upset and even GI bleeding. (Percocet has Tylenol (acetaminophen) in it so you never want to take that in addiction to your Percocet.)
You can also talk to the pharmacist about ibuprofen and how best to take it with your Percocet. (Also some people find good relief with OTC Aleve.
Hi guys! I have a lot of chronic pain problems with my knee, back and foot. I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
Yes I have and I also had the same test and my upper gi was also nagative! Try and relax about it which is easier said than done but being that u have had test and doctors said no problem it may just be anxiety I lost a lot of weight worrying in R weeks I lost over 20 lbs n every test came back negative and had 2nd opinions and they too were negative! Hope this helps!
I was diagnosed with severe gastritis caused by H. Pylori this march and the doctor treated me with antibiotics and some antacids. After some time I repeated the test for H. Pylori and it was negative. But the symptoms weren't gone. I had nausea, heartburn, constant fullness and pain in the stomach even after eating little amount of food, loss of the appetite, chronic fatigue (in the past I've also had candida infections).
I had similar syptoms four years ago and was diagonsed with diverticulitus
if its bad I have anti biotics but when I feel it coming on I drink peppermint tea especially morning and night and now and again ginger ale. It helps and sometimes I can stop an attack before it comes too bad. I suggest you go back to your doctor and ask to be tested for diverticulitus of Irritable bowl syndrome.
