Hi, I am a 32yr old female who has been on pain meds since 2008 from a terrible accident. I'm currently on Percocet 10/325, 30mg Oxycontin CR, 1200mg Neurontin 3x day and Zanaflex. I was recently diagnosed with Graves Disease which is an autoimmune disease associated with ur thyroid. I have noticed that I'm needing more pain meds than normal to relieve my pain. My question is, does this disease affect the relief I am supposed 2 be receiving from my normal dose?

Hello, I'm having problems with my metabolism. I'm a very big man, over 300 lbs, but very active. Most people can't believe how much i weigh when we talk about size, most people think I weigh about 250. I have been dieting for about a year and have lost over 30 lbs.. But in the last 3 or 4 months, my weight has moved up and down. I'm at 329 right now and it has moved as low as 315 to as high as 335. I have not changed my diet and have even tried exercising a little bit more.

Then hospital ran a UDT and found nothing in my system, so they stableized me on dilaudid, and said that I was in withdrawl. Then next day I went back to my doctor and got another UDT which is very specific and it showed that I had a 30x more norafentanyl which is the main metabolite of fentanyl.

That makes no sense to most ppl or even physicians that do not consider the metabolism of opiates in an individuals systems. In short, it's not prudent to suggest a specific opiate for you. It all depends on your metabolism of drugs. There are many ppl that find Fentanyl Patches very effective, I'm not one of them. I agree with Remar.

I'm a 29 year old female and three months ago I ended up in the ER with a micro-perforation of the bowel. Previous to this I weighed 144 pounds (I'm 5'7) and my diet was just whatever I wanted, mostly crap food. You would think I would have more of appetite condsiderng all the excercise I do, At least 3 to 4 times a week I either do water aerobics, walk or ride the stationery bicycle. I only started taking percocet yesterday, after suffering for 4 days with severe pain. I had tried everything, NSAIDS, hot wet compresses, I went for massages 4 days in a row! I'm going to have to go back and get an MRI, but in the meantime, I need to take the percocets. I just don't know if I should continue taking the subs while I am on the percocet. I want off the subs really bad, but I only got 15 percs and I don't know how long it will take me to get another Dr appt.
