percocet and gravol

Can't be much worse than the lady next to me crying over a gravol shot and popping Percocet when I was in the hospital. Heck, they'll give you morphine if you need it. I, myself, would try avoid narcotics at all cost. (Yes, codeine is a narcotic).

When i had my nausea in the hospital they gave me gravol through my IV, at home I would take the gravol pills. And depending on the day or whatever i had to do during my day i would take the regular gravol( always makes me very drowsy) or take the ginger gravol as it allowed me to stay awake during the day. But with it being so short after surgery i would get checked out for sure with the vomiting. Because it can also aggravate any healing you had going on with the muscles.

It sounds like the Hydromorph is your long acting pain med and the Percocet is your hsorting acting med for break through pain. It's not uncommon for a pain Dr to prescribe a long acting and a short acting med together. I'm confused about your Drs. Are you saying you have a pain Dr and your family Dr? Or, are you looking for a pain Dr? Most family Drs these days will not prescribe pain meds for this long. If you're seeing two different Drs do they both know what you're taking?

Yes, take something (I took tylenol and a gravol) before bed. Its not super painful, but there is some discomfort with cramping and in my case, nausea. It may also be a bit messy. If you can take a day (or 2) to put your feet up and relax, you might be happier for it. Take care, and know we are here for you if you need us. Hugs, and thinking about you.

Finally kicked the yr long Percocet addiction. Hell - this is the first time I've said addiction. I didn't want the two 10mg to turn Into 30 or 40mg. Anywho... I'm on day 9. I went through the HELL of restless Leg and insomnia. I'm not sure if I still have it or the Nightzzz finally is helping me sleep. I'm following the Thomas Recipe and again it could be placebo effect but it seems to be working ...

i'm addicted to gravol really bad, i take 30 or more daily plus methadone at 50 mg and this is administered by my pharmacist, he doesn't know about my gravol addiction, i'm lost and don't know what to do

I just read this post and am not sure how helpful my response will be now...but, I am a week off snorting percocet and oxy contin now and feel fantastic! i hear ya tho on the sinus and nose pain, even your eyes. I will tell you what helped me, right or wrong it WORKED for me, with of course the will power and the want to quit it.

I am the process of withdrawing from dilaudid and codeine and am feeling really sick. Is it better to just ride it out or would Gravol help. Any input would be appreciated.

Absolutely talk to a doc. So often we just take pills to treat symptoms and it is SO important to discover what is actually causing these symptoms. I promise you will not go through withdrawal from Gravol. Who told you this? I have taken regular dosage of it (2 every 4 hours) for periods of time and then stopped when I no longer needed it and felt nothing. I've also been on IV Gravol in the hospital for up to 3 weeks, and stopped once the problem was fixed and again- no withdrawal.

I've been taking up to 75 mgs of percocet a day, and at night up to 75 mg of morphine. I would take 7.5 mg of Rhovane (sleeping pill) every night as well. 2 years I've been on this stuff, and it's ruined my life. I don't even know where I begin, and the drugs end. Chronic shoulder pain is what made me start, but life's challenges alone is what kept me on them. About a month ago, I decided to get off these pills.

Ive taken gravol for almost a year on and off , the last 3 months i have been taking a large amount. I have taken 70 pills in the last 12 days. I realized i had an issue , and just didnt know how bad the withdrawls etc would be. i havent taken any gravol for 2 days now and plan to quit. I feel like absolute garbage right now. Hi there- Honey, you and I have been talking for a long time. While I am not refuting the fact that you have a psychological addiction to Gravol (people can be addicted to anything) I have to STRONGLY say again that you will not have physical withdrawals from Gravol. I have taken Gravol on and off for nearly 2 decades. I have Crohn's disease and endometriosis and both these illnesses cause crippling nausea.

Hi honey, you're back! I think I mentioned before that Gravol taken at this low of a dose is not going to make you feel withdrawal. I've taken gravol for years off and on for nausea associated with my Crohn's and other illnesses. I've stopped when I don't have nausea and have had NO withdrawal effects. And I've taken MUCH higher doses than you. I really believe that it is an underlying medical condition causing these symptoms.

( I also think the gravol is causing anxiety. I take half a pill every night just to sleep and I have been taking for 2-3 years. I feel so depressed just because I think I'll never be able to quit. Help please!!

Ok, so as stupid as this is going to sound, because this is not why I started posting on here a few weeks ago, but I took 300mg of Gravol last night...long story, but basically today I am sooo anxious. I feel like my skin in crawling and I can't sit still. My arms are also tingling like there a sleep. If you have no reason to need the Gravol physically, it is probably time to see a therapist. What you are describing, the panic and the tears and the worry in advance, is all mental/emotional, and probably what causes you to reach as a knee-jerk reaction for the drugs and to assume you must have them. Tylenol regular strength is the only safe thing....your doc may also allow gravol but never take gravol with out talking to doc.

Ocasionally ginger tea will take away symptoms of vertigo and seasickness (and airsickness). Use thin slices of fresh ginger, steep for twenty minutes, and drink three to four cups a day.

Where do you buy the gravol? I presume at a pharmacy and if so, you can ask them what its effects are and how to quit because pharmacists have lots of experience with everything they sell.

My friend has motion sickness and she finds gravol works and helps a lot.

Has anyone with scopolamine patch withdrawal just tried to go cold turkey and tough it out? IF so, how long did it take you to feel better?
