Common Questions and Answers about Percocet and exercise

percocet

Avatar f tn I only started taking percocet yesterday, after suffering for 4 days with severe pain. I had tried everything, NSAIDS, hot wet compresses, I went for massages 4 days in a row! I'm going to have to go back and get an MRI, but in the meantime, I need to take the percocets. I just don't know if I should continue taking the subs while I am on the percocet. I want off the subs really bad, but I only got 15 percs and I don't know how long it will take me to get another Dr appt.
Avatar f tn Ok.......many years ago I had an Oxy addiction. Successfully came off with methadone and successfully tapered off methadone as well and had been clean for around 10 years. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I had pretty major surgery and was prescribed Percocet 7.5/325 (60). In about 3 weeks I've been through 210 7.5s. I'd take more than recommend dosage for the first few days of the script and then taper myself down to about 4 a day. I'd refill and do the same again.
Avatar n tn Okay so my friend has been giving me percocet this past month maybe 2 months, and I had my period at the end of may but it only lasted 2-3 days. And ever since then I haven't had my period. I'm really worried. I know for a fact I am not pregnant. Its been maybe a week or two since I've had a perc. What do I do? I've stopped taking percocet, should my period come back? Or no? Is this something serious? What should I do?
Avatar f tn Without finding this forum I probably would of been taking more than 10 pills a day by now. It was a slow taper and then I kinda speeded it up and it worked better every 3-4 days I dropped a pill. =) My Life is going good and I am excersing and that helps so muich. At first I didn't have the energy but then I made Myself so Not only am I getting off these pills but I am losing weight. I have lost 13 pounds and My goal is to lose 25 pounds. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Avatar m tn It makes a big difference. Also be sure to eat healthy, push the good fluids, and exercise. Exercise will probably benefit you the most. Best of luck.
Avatar m tn ( I have been taking 5/325 Vicodins for 9 months, anywhere from 5-8 a day. Today I took 1 and a half and I hall and I have 3 and a half left. I thought one a day but to be honest taking one and a half today did absolutely nothing for me as far as not withdrawling. I'm a wreck, scared what tomorrow will bring.... Maybe we can lean on each other?
Avatar f tn Hello!! I also abused Percocet. You are early in your withdraw...it is going to take some time. The first week is pure hell I'm not going to sugar coat it. You will get through this!!!!!i am on day 19 today and still dealing with issues. After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!
Avatar f tn I am coming up to 5 years of sobriety and was recently introduced to Percocet (I am ashamed to say, I did not take these for pain)...as an addict I switched one drug to another. I cannot believe how this drug has got me! But then why not, I am no different than any other addict. I am familiar with the withdrawal symptoms of alcohol, but am not sure what to expect with coming off Percocet. I have 4 left..I am unable to stay home and ride it out....
Avatar n tn Yeah...I know it's tough. Like I said....exercise and activity, even if it's just 15 minutes of walking a couple times a day, will do WONDERS for helping your brain get back to normal. It really does. I hear alot about B12, but I have never tried it. It's supposed to be really good for energy. If you go to the top of this page, and do a search for "thomas recipe'...there are some really good ideas in there and things you can get to help speed up the process.
Avatar f tn Ive stopped similar meds and I had an energy drop after detox for about a week or so. I just forced myself to exercise and It came back quite fast. Really at this point it's just frame of mind. Ya might feel like He!! but it will soon be over and then life can move on. Keep in touch and I will help when I can.
1080427 tn?1256072953 Basically what helped me was taking a multi-vitamin, moderate exercise, immodium(diarrhea), Hylands Restful Legs(for the leg achiness), and lots of water! If you were only taking 3-4 per day you should probably be feelin better in about 4 days or so. I was taking about 10 norcos a day for almost 2 years and felt better by day 4-5! Its definetly better to get off them now before the addiction progresses.....I wish I had and now here I am after 6 months clean dealing with a relapse!!
Avatar f tn I have been cutting down on my meds and am having all day anxiety. I just cut down by a quarter of the 5mg percocet pill and today I have been nervous, restless and feel like there is a pit is my stomach. Can this small amount cause anxiety or could it be something else? I have not had problems with anxiety in the past- except when I CT off Fentanyl.
Avatar f tn I have taken Lunesta and that still didnt help. I tried melatonin, benadryl and Lunesta and nothing helped. Looking for the answer as well. Hand in there and good luck.
Avatar f tn gatorades, green tea ( theanine on it, will help your mood and to relax), tonic water ( it has quinine and it will help you with RLS ) Hylands restful legs to help you with RLS , hylands cramps legs maybe some natural stuff to help you with sleep like melatonin and valerian root ( good for anxiety too and it helped me with the stomach cramps , imo). lots of hot baths ( with epsom salts if you have them ...
Avatar f tn This time it was 30 milligrams of vicodin, with a two month prescription of percocet 10 milligram mixed in at three times a day. I tapered the percocet and 36 hours ago quit the vicodin. My body feels achy, but I havent had the restless leg which was a night mare last november and I have yet to have diareeham, and i have slept more than i did when I quit before. I am praying that these last 40 hours are just toying with me and it will hit me all at once.
Avatar n tn Try staying away from any products with caffeine and sugars and drink chamomile teas through out..It will help you replacing fluids and take a bit of the edge from anxiety. A bit of walking helps and so as warm baths. Wish you good luck!
Avatar f tn I got two hours of exercise tonight and it felt great for mind and body. Im sorry you are suffering so much....exercise helps me a ton. Gotta sweat it out...if you can will yourself too. Good luck im just a day ahead of you. You can do this...
Avatar n tn It was a few here and there and I felt better and played better golf. Now it has gotten out of control. I take at least 10 10/325 percs a day and drink beer while taking them. The euphoria has worn off and I am taking them just to feel level headed. I dont get a high anymore. I am scared of withdrawal and am looking for some advice on how to get off of them. I have a family and they donot know so any kind of rehab is out of the question. I just want to quit. Any advice.
Avatar f tn what do you take when going threw percocet withdrawels?

Avatar f tn Thank you so very much Doctor to take the time to write back! For a quick past history, I've had 7 surgeries in the past 3 years with chronic pain in between along with numerous hospitalizations...one lasting 3 weeks for a bowl obstruction which during that time I was on dilaudid by IV...that really made my tolerance go up! Needless to say, I've been on many different pain medications and have gone through withdrawal on more than one occasion.
Avatar f tn Need to know how long it takes to detox percocet? My legs feel really jittery and uneasy, is this normal, when will the leg problem go away? I am off because my Dr is on vacation and I had no choice. I also am taking classes in school and would like to know if taking the percocet caused me not to grasp information. Does it affect your concentration. How long will it take to get my brain back to the normal functioning state. Thanks .
Avatar n tn Like extream gravity on my body. My legs are tired and heavy, and the pain that I had before I was taking the Percocet seems to be worse. I'm considering a Pain Control Clinic that's drug free, but my question is - are these fatigue symptoms normal for this amount of time withdrawing?
Avatar m tn It all started when i got a tooth pulled. I was on the percocet, while on them i still had to go to work and it just made the day fly by. It made me concentrate more..It made everything better....until now. I am so consumed with this ****** addiction and im ready to kick this habit. It has effected myself,my family,my financial security and my relationship...I spend about $80 a day 7 days a week. You do the math..Its terrible.
