Percocet and drug testing

Common Questions and Answers about Percocet and drug testing

percocet

Avatar f tn He got off the percocet and sometime oxy use (he prefers percocet) and despite at home drug testing, he still used a couple of times (2 to 3 since October) In the past month the oxy portion of the test was very, very, very, light...almost not there. He admitted using suboxone. (not prescribed for him) So I don't know what to think about that. Did the suboxone cause the oxy line to be so light? So I bought suboxone single test strips and that was positive.
Avatar n tn What they do can very much depend on you yourself, if you got regular and early prenatal care, was cooperative and followed all your instructions; presented yourself as a caring and cared for mother to be, then there may not be any reason for them to test you. However if you or those around you send out warning signals with their presentation, dress or behavior, your health provider can very well test your baby's meconium (poop) without your consent.
Avatar f tn pain associated with lupus. I did something really stupid and took a Percocet a few days before going to pain clinic appointment, of course I failed the test, first time ever happened. Nurse said tests showed up for hydrocodone. I have a prescription for from a dentist. I wasn't suppose to get filled a year ago but nurse said don't do again. She asked me if it helped. I panicked & told nurse I took the hydrocodone but I really took Percocet. The clinic sent off for testing.
Avatar m tn I have quite a few friends who are cancer free now and they have had lumpectomies, mastectomies, and even reconstructive surgeries...and none of them still had pain after a few months out... If there is nerve damage...then the narcotics do not work on that type of pain...But there are actual nerve pain meds like Lyrica, Cymbalta, and Neurontin which are extremely effective. So...I would be getting answers from the Dr. on why you still have pain that is so strong to need heavy narcotics.
Avatar f tn will it show up if being tested for opioids or just synthetic opioids? i came up positive on a drug screen for oxymorphone and i was perscribed to percocet.. can u please explain?
Avatar f tn She hugged tight and I blurted out that I had false positives on a urinary tract infection and a drug screen showed I had no percs in my system. She told me that her husband had been asked not to come back and it was over his pain meds. She insisted I go talk with this woman. I went there and cried my heart out. I still hadn't been seen and returned to the clinic to see another doctor besides my PC because I had no appointment.
Avatar f tn t think much about because i know i only take the medication he gives me which are hydrocodone10 and gabapentin and tizanidine well when he came back in the room he ask me when I took my last pain pill and if I had been taking percocet and trading my pills for them. I told him no he said well your drug test came back positive for percocet and no hydrocodone in your urine. He said he was sending off and results would be back in a week.
Avatar n tn You could set up a little sting operation if you were so inclined to find out. And just a little suggestion here, but just the mention of drug testing to find out who did it may be enough to get an admission out of someone. I understand your thinking about just wanting to move on.....but what concerns me about the situation, is what I said earlier. Someone in that house does have an active addiction....and they need help.
Avatar n tn will morphine show up in your urine if you are taking percocet and give a false result
Avatar f tn Never has she asked for a Urine Drug Screen. Last month I called in to get a refill on my Percocet and she told me I needed to do a Random Urine Drug Screen. I went and the nurse calls me to inform me that the Dr will no longer be able to give me any more Percocet or Klonopin seems my Urine Drug Screen showed that I was negative for both drugs. I told her I had taken 2 Percocet the day before and I take my Klonopin daily before bed.
Avatar m tn /,where I work when we have drug diversion they just test for the missing med
Avatar n tn Also you can go to the Health Pages here on this forum and read about it. It does help some for pain. Do not take pain pills while on this drug. Keep reading and asking questions. You will be fine.
Avatar f tn If I took one. 5 mg. percocet on 9/8 and did a drug screening at work on 9/21 and it came back positive is this possible? I also did another instant urine on 9/23 and that came back negative. Can the drug company be wrong? Which results are right. Also took Ibeprophen 500 & amoxacillan on 9/11. Someone please give me some good news my job of 18 yrs. depends on it.
Avatar f tn I am asymptomatic with the Hep C but the county doctor i go to now has no idea regarding the intracacies of Hep C and acetaminophen. He is aware of the Hep C and drug use but pain became unbearable and it has come down to the pain meds. It boils down to no surgery because of no insurance and no quality of life without pain meds. Again, my big question is are the pain meds making my liver worse.
Avatar f tn Percocet is a stronger drug and actually classified as a "C-II" under the DEA. Lortab or Hydrocodone is a "C-III". So, chemically it is stronger. My first bout with narcotics I was addicted to percocet. (after the lortab wouldn't work anymore and i'd had shoulder surgery). Total use was about a year and It was difficult w/d. I went ct when I got off of the percs. My last relapse was on lortab.
Avatar m tn I don't know anything about drug testing, but i think there are over the counter ones you can get at a pharmacy or whatever... as far as the emotional rollercoaster...it can go on for a while, maybe a month or two, but for me it's over after a week...try to exercise and stay busy and you don't have to worry as much...idle hands are the devil's work so they say...exercise releases endorphins like the pills did, it can really help.
Avatar f tn I see a pain management specialist and use patches and baclofen I am not required to take a drug test. Is this an insurance thing or a trust issue? I'm sorry if this comes across stupid but I really just don't understand why...
Avatar f tn I am on state insurance and was never drug tested...i think its based on where u live and the hosptial...
Avatar n tn If you tell him you are running out and he does a drug screen and finds it in your system that will not be good. And please only take what is prescribed for you. I wish you the very best and hope that you will be able to convince your PMP that you require more tablets. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.
Avatar n tn That's likely going to depend on the facility and their policies, along with any local laws. The consent form should outline what testing will be done. This forum has members from all over the world, so it's not possible to determine what may or may not be required at a specific facility in a specific state or country.
1187071 tn?1279369698 I don't think you have a thing to worry about. Stay true to yourself and your Doctor. Follow the rules to the tee. If you'd like, visit either me or Sandee's journals. We both have information on drug testing and what may cause a false positive or negative.
Avatar n tn Yeah I know they do that one before they let you leave because if either of you fail they get child protective services involved.. I was just concerned about my doctors office not telling me everything they test and check for I feel that we should be told everything they are doing to keep us well informed because my friend failed a drug test and I didn't even know they were drug testing people.
Avatar f tn I used to smoke a bit befor i knew i was pregnant about a month and a half ago, and heard that they do a drug test when the baby is born, is this true and will they really take the baby away if they find the drug in him?
Avatar f tn She was concerned about them drug testing her and her daughter and was wondering was anyone from Philadelphia that has experience with this. She doesn't want her child taken away but in all actuallity she shouldn't of to begin with but now thats besides the point. Do anyone know is it mandatory to test or is it only under suspicion That they will test in the state of pa/Philadelphia?
