Soon after removing the nail tips, I started noticing my nails on my thumbs started to change colors. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed Penlac to treat the nail fungus. After using Penlac for a while I noticed that it was not working for me. After that, I went back to the dermatologist and they did a culture and they said it was a fungus.

hi all, i have hep c geno1a, at stage 2 fibrosis. going on treatment next week with teleprevir. i ready that it takes 10 yrs or more to go from one stage to another if u live a healthy lifestyle. any truth to that. also i read someone here had stage1 grade 0. does anyone know what grade 0 means. i havent heard of that before.

I have Hep c, however, my doc acts like I shoudn't do any treatment, he's an internist, is everyone of the mind that the treatment works and are the best course of action. What specialist would you use.

re not already on anti-depressants, they may be recommended before you start treatment as the treatment drugs can make depression worse.

I start my treatment next week. Have to take 2 capsules of Ribasphere 200 mg daily and 1 shot of Pegasys Pro Click 180 mcg/ 0.5 mil weekly for 24 weeks . Have to have blood work done monthly to monitor my platelet count. Last blood work they were at 33,000 but they have been up and down since 07 when I was diagnosed with ITP. I would like some advice on what to expect with side effects.

After I found out I had HepC, I got tested again, had the liver biopsy and was offered to start treatment. But, my viral load is only 160,000, and my liver showed only slight cell inflamation. The nurse said I should start while I feel good. I wonder if the viral load was low becasue before having the biopsy and viral load count, I spent a year taking high doses of milk thistle and basil, and plenty of vitamins. I think my viral load count is relatively low.

I actually turned out to be one of the lucky ones. I was genotype 1b, grade 1, Stage 0. I started treatment at the age of 29. I was on treatment for 48 weeks and it was nothing for me. I had hardly any side effects, i never took one helper drug, only Advil here and there and smoked a little marijuana sometimes in the mornings to get my appetite going before i headed to work. I missed a total of 5 days from work in the entire 48 weeks.

Well I have an appointment to start treatment on March 6th, so hopefully I can begin treating this disease. What is important to me is what happens from here on out. doc wants to start treatment for 6 mo. he did ultrasound and everything looked fine, i have no symptoms and my enzymes are only slightly high. not sure about this tx it dont sound good.has anybody heard of this herbal? cure on hepatitesccure.net? or know of new drugs coming out that are better?

As a person with Cirrhois I am curious if anyone on the transplant list has not done treatment. I have had doctors tell me that Treatment is very hard on the liver and others that say you should treat as long as your still compensated.

wondering if anyone has heard of northland treatment center in ohio. we are looking into it for my boyfriend.
