If you're using Pegasys, they should have provided a video as Mo stated, and they used to have this on their website.

Ann, me too on the shot. I didn't pull back the first 2 and then watched a video n did this time. Cyn, I saw on the video that if you were taking a reduced Peg shot amount, your Dr. would tell you what to reduce it to. So, you're prolly taking the whole thing. Me too. I was going thigh and then last week heard that belly is better. I don't let go of the fat to inject. I can barely pinch an inch n don't wanna hit muscle or a vein. What a sweetie hubbie to give it to you. Aw.

Someone once posted a helpful video site on how to inject pegasys and I was wondering it there is any information on how to inject procrit. My last two hgb blood test results were 9.7 and 9.4 , so my doctor is going to order procrit for me. I am going to get procrit 40,000 units per ml per week. Is that the dose that everyone else is doing? Do you have to mix the solution or measure it out to inject ? My mind is a bit foggy these days....

Has anyone heard of or taken part in Tegobuvir and/or GS-9256, in conjunction with Pegasys & Ribavirin clincal trial? I am going to be interviewed next week for this trial and naturally apprehensive about it. I searched the forum and could not find any info or feedback on Tegobuvir. I was told that I will be on either one or both of the clinical trial drugs (plus the Pegasys & Ribavirin) and I would be selected for either 16, 24 or 48 week group.

My leaky shots were the Pegasys shots and Pegasys did not replace them because I had already used the batch of 4 before I notified anyone of the leaking. I have since heard of many people having leaking from that area so I think it's more common that we realize. Pegasys actually called me after I complained about it and they suggested to me that when I push the syringe and needle together that I also give it just a little tiny twist action to help seat the two together.

The nurse gave me the Pegasys injection intramuscular in my arm instead of subcutaneous? Will that have any effect on the course of treatment? Does it have the same efficacy?will I still benefit from the injection in the same intended way?

Make sure you emphasize that there are floating particles in the Pegasys. A light yellow color is normal but floating particles are not. DO NOT USE Pegasys if it is any color but clear or light yellow.

I start pegasys in July. Are the side effects really bad? I know everyone is different.. Do most people lose some of their hair? I just wanted info from someone that has been on this.

Has anybody out there been treated with COPEGUS and PEGASYS? I saw a gastroentoligist today and he has ordered all sorts of blood work, but says if I start treatment this is what he would give me. I asked about the new VERTEX drug coming out next year and he said it probably wouldent be out that soon.

hate to blame something but I made the mistake of watching the pegasys video, the one with the black dude that is shaking when he gives himself the shot. This kind of threw me off, I should of just read the instructions and not looked at the video. I probably would have went straight in but the video emphasizes "inject at an angle". Oh well the damage is done, just hope I did not totally mess it up.

It depends on how it’s ordered and which brand you’re prescribed. Pegasys generally comes in pre-mixed vials, four (one month’s worth) per box. All you have to do is press the needle on the end of the syringe barrel and you’re ready to go. Pegintron can be ordered both in vial form as well as their ‘ReadyPen’. The vial form requires that the patient mix a powdered active ingredient with a sterile ‘diluent. It’s really not difficult, and your doctor’s office will demonstrate for you.
