2059648 tn?1439766665 Pegasys had a program that will supply you with free inteferon and ribavirin if you qualify. I also know of one for neupogen. Since I didn't do the triple tx, I'm not sure about them, but I believe the manufacturers are required to have a program in place to help those of low income to get the needed medications. If you can't find their toll free numbers, give me a pm, and I'll look them up for you.

GATCF does not provide free medicine to patients who have insurance coverage, regardless of the co-pay amount. Financial: The patient must have an annual household adjusted gross income (AGI) of less than $100,000.00 (line 37 on tax return). Special consideration of financial criteria can be made for patients who are recently unemployed. Medical: The patient must meet medical criteria.

If they accept you, they will provide assistance on both the riba as well as the interferon. You will treat for six months with genotype 2; I managed quite well for the first year of treatment; it wasn’t until later the next year I got hammered a little bit.
Avatar f tn The manufacturers provide patient assistance for the meds, but the patient will still be responsible for labs, procedures, office visits, etc: Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 Welcome to the discussion group, by the way— Bill
Avatar f tn Yup, the meds are relatively pricey. The phone numbers listed are patient assistance programs sponsored by the manufacturers. They are income based as opposed to asset based; and will probably ask for last years federal tax forms to confirm income. They are actually fairly generous; they don’t require a patient to be indigent to qualify for help. Ask the doctor for Rx information, and then give them a call to see where you fall financially.
1057395 tn?1254367428 if you’re refused for some reason, call the mfgr’s patient assistance program and tell them what happened; most likely, they’ll cover the cost of therapy for you.
