Both Roferon and Pegasys are manufactured by Roche Pharmaceuticals, but Pegasys is interferon combined with polyethylene glycol. I have had both... and I was shocked when I received the prefilled syringes from the pharmacy --not the "pegaysis boxed" syringes..so I called the "pegasys hot line" right away...
41 pegasys injections have been injected . PCR RNA stillL Showing 139000 IU/ml VIRAL LOAD. After 24 injections it was 80000 IU/ml. in spite decrease, viral load has been increased. I took the first shot of pegasys about 3 hours ago. When I injected in (in front of the nurse) .. I noticed some of the medicine leaked out of the injection area (there was a little clear fluid around the area). The nurse didn't seem too worried about it. I just popped my first 3 ribavirin pills (200 mg a piece). Taking it with some vitamin D milk and other food.
I'm not feeling that much different (no aches, pains, or nausea yet).
