Late yesterday afternoon, around 17:30, received a call from a Genentech rep saying the alcohol pads that come in the interferon kit maybe contaminated with a bacteria. I didn't write down the name of the bacteria sooo.. the maker of the pads is Triad. They also make pads under different names, like Topco .. Did anyone else get a similar notice?

I went to the Genentech website and found a wealth of information about assisatance for payments associated with many conditions. None of these were MS. I have a call in to them. but sustpecty that since Rituxan for MS is off label there is no program at Genentech. Does anyone know of any fiancial assistance programs for Rituxan?

While there are differences in the chemical make up of these two drugs, the overall efficacy in terms of success is quite similar. Your husband should be receiving a weekly injection of one of the two interferons, along with twice daily doses of ribavirin.
