764075 tn?1234495599 Are there assistance programs out there to assist with cost of Neupogen if my Dx prescribes. I am on a basic health program and co-pay 50% for all meds.

2008176 tn?1327971543 Fourth, I think it is unrealistic to think a person, any person, could cover all of these treatment costs without insurance, without medication cost assistance, and without assistance to pay for labs and tests and doctor visits. Therefore, she needs to check to see what assistance she would qualify for. Another option would be, as Bill mentioned, to look into getting her into a trial. I believe in trials most costs are covered (because she would be in a trial).
Avatar m tn Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 The assistance is income rather than asset based; give them a call and see if they can provide help. They will probably want copies of last year’s IRS 1040 forms, along with verification of copay.

407029 tn?1253992623 This is a site that has some questions that you answer and then you can get list of programs that you qualify for based on the information you entered. Avatar n tn Is it true that the Pegintron assistance program allows a higher income limit, but will they cover Pegasys or are both drugs the same What kind of significant fatigue did you experience and how did you do on your first few weeks? Could you describe your fatigue and when did it start in what week?
1628149 tn?1299785675 you can call the manufacturers of the HCV drugs to see if you’ll qualify for patient assistance; they often provide the drugs free of charge for those that are uninsured. However, they don’t cover doctor’s care, labs, procedure costs, etc.
Avatar m tn My monthly co-pay was $45 for Incivek, $5 for Ribavirin, and $20 for Pegasys. I could probably have asked the drug companies for assistance and I probably would have received it, but I did not know much at that time and my treating team was no help. When I was first calling my ins. co. about coverage, I got about 10 different answers and none of them were the same, LOL.
Avatar m tn My insurance pays a big deal, buy it is still costing me $200 a month for this at walgreens, I cannot afford this through the whole cycle of ribavirin and pegasys. Is there any way to get around this cost?
1057395 tn?1254367428 My first pegasys and ribaviron was ordered through a local pharmacy at $606 copay for the pegasys and $50 for the ribaviron. I looked on the blue cross blue shield web site and found I could have them sent to me through their preferred pharmacy for a $69 copay for pegasys and no copay for ribaviron. Hope my experience saves you a lot of money!! There's a number to call to get the fax number to give your doctor to send in the prescriptions. Welcome and good luck!
1391695 tn?1298139789 Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 Just call the appropriate number, and the service rep will help you apply.
Avatar f tn Sounds like the way my treatment started. Five months of arguments, anxiety, and a bunch of unnecessary stress. The antibiotics can't be tx for the HepC. Do you have something else going on? For instance, I had swelling and fever in my leg, for which they gave me antibiotics, but also at that time the HepC was found. Roche was bought by Genentech. This number is still valid. 1-866-247-5084. Call during reg. business hours. There is a menu system.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know of any programs that offer assistance with the coverage gap (donut hole) for people on Medicare? I have been preapproved for Pegasys and Ribavirin but my Medicare Prescription Drug Plan through United Health Care has a $4,550.00 coverage gap and then 5% of the total drug cost approx $9200.00 a year. The plan starts anew Jan 1st of each year so I’m looking at a copayment in the excess of $18,400.00.
Avatar m tn I called the hotline on the pegasys web page and they were very helpful. They gave me a reference # and said to have my doc call them and use that # and they would fax the paper work right away. I was only on the phone with them maybe 15 min.

Avatar m tn Hoffman-LaRoche, the maker of Pegasys, and Schering-Plough, the maker of PEG-Intron, each have a patient assistance program for people having problems getting the drug. The number to call is (800) 443-6676 for Pegasys and (800) 521-7157 for PEG-Intron. http://www.atdn.org/simple/pifn.
