Probably TMI, I know. Right after I stepped away from the sink, I saw blood on the sink countertop and running down the two wood doors on the front bottom of the sink. I saw patches of blood on my boxers (which were still down). I freaked out, thought I was bleeding internally after having just went #2. It was solid, but a little watery and I thought I had some major issue going on inside.

I am 22 yr old and i have hepatitis c genome 3 and i am taking pegasus\once weekly and ribavirin since 19-6-08 my question is have i to do weekly CBC or I can do every 2weeks before the injection ?

aslo the same night that the fight happened i went to use the toilet and there was blood on the sink and also there was blood around the tap which i saw when i went there to drink from the tap then i just stopped and left does this kind of blood exposure from the enviroment has a risk to it or does water and the environment kills the hep virus

I haven't posted recently but I read the forum pretty much every day. I've managed to get to 20 days clean but for some weird reaosn, all that ime, I;ve kept a small amount of codeine available (around 450mg). I don;t know why I've fet the need to keep it avilable as I've been resolved for some time that I'm never taking it again. Ever. This whole quiting thing has been too difficult to ever consider going back. So I began to wonder why I was keeping it.

t want to sound like a crazy germaphobe, but there is someone at work that insists on brushing her teeth every day in the washroom. She often spits blood in the sink and the droplets are left there. I've even seen blood on the tap handles. Am I at any particular risk of catching hep b from this? I have never been vaccinated against it. My hands are dry and sometimes cracked... but I use a paper towel to turn off the taps. Does this sound like something risky?

(I smoke about 8-10 a day).Yesterday I did a huge cough and spat the resulting phlegm in the sink. It had blood in it. Not a large amount about 5p/dime size. The actual phlegm was clearish with a green/grey tinge. The blood was bright red. Needles to say, after reading everything online I am now scared witless! I am going to speak to my GP tomorrow. It has not happened since. Has this happened to anyone else and it be nothing scarey?

Hello I have a problem too. Some time ago(6-8 months) a purple spot appeard on the "crown" of my penis near to a big blood vessel on the right side.I think is a burst blood vessel but is looking the same since it appeared.I'm a bit worried about it so please recommend me something to treat this.

I have a multicystic nodule on my left thyroid and every now and then i get a pain in my neck followed by a minor sore throat and some hoarseness due to a cough i usually only get when it flares up. Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.

Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?

Just got my Pegasus and co Pegasus.Was hoping just for just the Pegasus, But there was a study that said non responders faired no better than responders on there study. Why this applies to me I do not know. I am a relapser. This cost the insurance company big money. Any Ideas? At stage 4 i have no time to wait. Have had the same issues getting into the studies. Relapser. Life can be hard at times.

Most instructions tell us to direct the needle straight but I use certain angle. Pegasus needle is about an inch long and how do you know how thick the subcutaneous fat layer of a thin person? Instruction tells me to check to see if there is blood in the syringe first (by pulling back a little) and stop the injection if it does. My doc has told me in some occasion, there is possibility that tip of the needle ended up in the blood vessel and we do not want that.

After 3 weeks post pegasus/ribivarin (48 weeks responder so far) still suffering with rash, body aches, migraines, insomnia. My energy level is improving but is not great.

Which one would you all recommend she go on, the Incivek 12 weeks plus Pegasus 48 or the 44 weeks Victrelis plus Pegasus 48? I think the Incivek has a few more sides but a better success rate. Is that true. Do patients with a lot of Incivek sides normally improve after the 12 weeks? Any info to help in the choice would be great.

I thought maybe I had burst a small blood vessel in my esophagus from throwing up so hard awhile back, and it isn't healing because I keep throwing up. The first time I did the treatment I became anemic and looked like a ghoast until I was able to start procrit.
