He received a tenus shot, novicane shot, they pushed the hook thru, cut off the barb with DIKES regular old plyer type dikes you can buy in a hardware store and pull it out. put a bandaid on it and sent him on his way. $1100!
How do I find out about infusion sites in the area that I live?? I may need to change infusion sites because of my insurance (out of network). I'm ok until the end of the year, but I don't know if I will be granted an extention.
I found out my insurance covers a breast pump & was given in network companies. They listed 9 of them & need honest opinions from those that may have used any of them. The list consists of: Byram Healthcare, Sterling Medical Services, Genadyne Biotechnologies, Yummy Mummy, Edgepark Medical Supplies, Sunmed,Edwards Health Care Services, Hygeia, & Medline Healthcare Company.Thanks in advance!

PPOs are more lenient with out-of-network coverage than HMOs. Most HMOs don’t even offer out of network coverage (except in a life threatening emergency situation), in or out of state. The reason behind this rule is to enable the carriers to assess the risk & potential cost of claims arising in a particular area. You may have heard of the term “USUAL & CUSTOMERY”. That just means what is the going rate for a certain service in a particular geographical area.

When I had my first child, I had an IN network OB, an IN network hospital but the anesthesiologist on duty was Out of network. No who, I ask you, when desperately needing that epidural asks the doctor that they send to provide it if they work with your insurance? ugh.
So, I got the bills and they were 2000 bucks. I went to the insurance company and they stood by the decision that I had to pay as it was out of network doctor.
It differs from a PPO in that for most services it only covers in-network. With a PPO you can see anyone in-network or not with less coverage out-of-network.

I have pretty good insurance and everything will be covered in network, except the NS alone will be out-of-network so I will have a higher deductible there. I just trying to get a basic idea of what I am going to have to pay in the end. The NS's staff told me not to worry about it and they would work with me about the payment, but I would still like to get a basic idea.
I am 22 yr old and i have hepatitis c genome 3 and i am taking pegasus\once weekly and ribavirin since 19-6-08 my question is have i to do weekly CBC or I can do every 2weeks before the injection ?
