Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.

Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?

My husband just got lab results taken his 4th week (of 48) on Pegasus & Ribavirin. They have been following him weekly as his wbc dropped to 3.0 (reference range 4.0 - 10.5). His pre-tx HCV RT-PCR, Quant read HCV RNA 24,176,000 IU/mL HCV log 10 7.383 log10 IU/mL. His week 4 results said, HCV RNA 8,710 IU/mL and log 10 3.940 log10 IU/mL. To me it looks like his numbers started so high, but that he's responding well so far.

Just want to be in as good a condition going in, and hoping for a 24 week course. It will be 3 drugs next time, so riba/pegasus and telaprevir.

Although my rash was largely a severe reaction to the Incivek, he wanted to give my body a chance to clear the majority of the rash. my platelets are low and from what i understand processing bile is hindered by one of the organs (not sure which one, mayne the gallbladder) and bile salts collect and rise to the skin. i get red dots and blotches, and what looks like hives if i itch them. not very scientific of an explanation but it's all i have.

I plan on taking my first injection tomorrow eveining but in my brain fog state can't remember when I start the ribavirin pills. Is it the morning of the day I take the first shot or the morning after. I was on pegasus treatment for 48 weeks in 2011 and relapsed after a month TX was finished. I'm not out of my mind yet but my doctor doesn't work on Fridays and I have no one to ask this.
