You did not say what was the underlying diagnosis of your son who passed away after the heart transplant complications. That would be the important information to know if there is a concern for an inheritable disorder.

Avatar n tn If you have not taken her to a pediatric retinologist, I'd encourge you to contact a medical school near where you live and speak with someone in their opthalmology office. The Wills Eye institute in Philadelphia and the UCLA opthalmology department are only 2 of many good resourses. Best of luck to your daughter.

HE GAVE US TWO PAPERS ABOUT THE CONDITION AND SAID ILL HAVE SOMEONE IN TOUCH WITH YOU TO SEE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE BABY THIS WAS DEVASTATING TO US AND SHOCKING AT THE SAME TIME.

She had a bilateral excision performed last December, after suffering a year of intense pain, but now has suffered yet another year of extreme pain after discovering she has yet another coalition. 382218 tn?1341181487 When I was the Pediatric AIDS Fellow at UCLA - the first one in LA - in 1985-86. I took care of a couple famous actors' kids. I was with a family just as they learned that the actor's wife and two kids had HIV, but not him, from contaminated blood transfusions to the mom after the birth of the first child. And took care of the oldest child for a few months. It was awful, and the family was so gracious. It was heartbreaking.
