Paxil yawning

Common Questions and Answers about Paxil yawning

paxil

Avatar n tn Sabrina, yes paxil, like all the other ssri's can cause weight gain. The medication that doesn't is wellbutrin, or if anxiety is the main symptom, klonopin. You should adjust to tiredness within a week, if not, then maybe the dose is too high for you. Re obesity, you have to learn how to stop stress eating, which is probably more difficult for you because of your anxiety. the best way to do that is to take the course at www.shrinkyourself.com, or consult a therapist.
Avatar f tn Boy, never heard of that one. As for Celexa, it depends on the person. It sedated me some but nothing like Paxil and imipramine did. But I've read that others have been agitated by Paxil. These drugs are just weird.
Avatar m tn I'm really glad you're seeing a doctor. The symptoms you describe sound horrible, but they don't scream MS to me. Has your doctor given any indication of what he/she thinks you should be tested for? The symptoms you describe could be caused by many, many things. If I were you, I would want to know what my doc is looking for or what he/she thinks could potentially be causing the problems. I think that's the place to start.
358304 tn?1409709492 s side effects whether they are related or not. For example, is the yawning due to taking the Paxil? It could be and may not as well. We also tend to have ups and downs when dealing with the anxiety as well which can make it frustrating if we are already worried about taking a particular medication in my opinion. The good thing is, you are keeping an open mind about it and for me, I have had positive experiences with SSRIs...keep us posted!
Avatar f tn I took Celexa for 5 months before I could stop the yawning. Some side effects, like speeded up system don't necessarily go away. Your pharmacist can give you some info over the phone or probably more in person, but you need to see the doc to get any med adjustment. Did you doc tell you to cut the dose?

Avatar f tn Nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, weakness, tiredness, dry mouth, sweating, yawning, or headache may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Avatar m tn I am a former smoker (Iquit four years ago)in my 40's experiencing excessive yawning. Other than a day or two of real shortness of breath following a flu (H1N1 I think---was not tested) I have no other symptom other than this excessive desire to yawn as if I can't fill my lungs enough to get a good breath in, even tho I can and do. It makes no difference exercising or resting, in fact I notice it more when not busy.
1218873 tn?1300091216 I haven't noticed yawning causing anything, but I have had bouts of uncontrollable yawning. You know how the "polite yawn" feels? You have your lips closed and the yawn is taking place only in the back of the mouth, with the soft palate lifting and a good intake of air through the nose. (A very nice singer's breath feeling.
Avatar m tn Fatigue is a common symptom of Hypothyroid, yawning could also indicate a lack of oxygen or sleep apnea. You could post your recent thyroid labs for members comments.
443006 tn?1229201842 Hello all, I am due to start treatments in about a week and am wondering whether I should be starting on an anti-depressant now or wait to see if I need it. I got a prescription for Paxil but it almost made my moods worse. I'm irritable a lot of the time now and am afraid it will get worse once I start treatment. Can anyone recommend a good anti-depressant without a lot of side effects? And are there some natural anti-depressants that might work?

783281 tn?1259691431 Here I am at 18 days clean from morphine and I cannot stop yawning. It is not helpful to be yawning while your boss is talking to you at 3pm. He thinks..."late nite out...deadweight." But, I know it is the WDs. Really after last week's physical WDs...you would think I would be ok with yawning (Or the desire to) all day long....This is like my everyday question...."any idea how long this will last?
Avatar n tn I would like to know if anyone else experiences excessive yawning. This happens to me at least 3-4 times per day where I experience extreme yawning. I get about 1-4 yawns per minute and they last anywhere from 5-30 minutes or so. These are extremely irritating and annoying to me as they make my eyes water and drip, etc. etc. I am curious to know if anyone has any thoughts on what could be the cause of these.
Avatar f tn im 17 and i havent stoped yawning in about five days and i yawn every five. minutes and doctors thought i had a heart murmur when i was a baby but they werent really sure and now have these fast beats of my heart like everyday i dont know what it is and it scares me.
2036337 tn?1337104009 It started with this pressure on my chest, it terrified me so I went to Urgent Care and was diagnosed then made an appointment with my Doctor, and she prescribed Paxil for me. I was tested, you know, EKG, Blood work, all the fun stuff and my oxygen is at 100%, but I still feel terrible. I know that I'm healthy, but it still feels like something is terribly wrong. My throat is always tight, and I feel this constant pressure/tightness in my chest. All the time, it never goes away.
Avatar n tn Yeah, I have some kind of yawning thing. I yawn all the time even if I've gotten a good amount of sleep or even if it's my favorite class. Some parts of the day I could yawn once and then have the need to keep doing it like I can't help it and it's uncomfortable to try to just not yawn. And I'm yawning right now just cause of thinking about it. Is this something bad or is there something I can do to get rid of it, cause it's getting quite annoying.
628714 tn?1268238196 I was having problems with excessive yawning too. I went to my doctor and we ran some tests. I was yawning so much it was causing me problems with daily life. Anyway, they thought I might be anemic or iron deficient. Both of these can cause excessive yawning because your lungs feel like they are not getting the oxygen needed because of low red blood cells to carry oxygen to the lungs. But both my tests were fine. I am a very anxious person by nature so we decided I was having an anxiety attack.
Avatar n tn I cannot sneeze or yawn! I am just a kid. Right after I went to my bff's sleepover, at night, my mum gave me hot chocolate to drink. After that, I had trouble yawning. I can't stop yawning, and if I don't try to yawn, it just gets cramps it up my throat. Please help me in any way.
