paxil klonopin

I started Klonopin Saturday (with another med) but then went back on Paxil on Monday. I have about 9-10 days worth of .25mg Klonopin left, and I am praying to God that Paxil kicks in FAST.

How should I wean off the Klonopin while weaning off the Paxil? He said to cut the klonopin to .25mg at night. Q#2: Can I take ativan (.5mg) with Klonopin (.25mg) while weaning off the Klonopin and Paxil? Geez Louise. lol. Anyone? =) Thanks.

5mg Klonopin. I desparately want to quit the Klonopin. I have started tapering Klonopin 1.5 weeks ago, down from .5 to .25 in the morning and .125 in the evening...but the nervousness from the Paxil is still there. I take Paxil for panic attacks, and I haven't had any panic attacks for over a month now. Would it be ok to switch from Klonopin to Ativan safely? I hate the fact that the Klonopin has built up in my plasma, and I know the Ativan will not......

well it's been almost 6 weeks of 20 mg of paxil, and i *still* have this internal nervousness that sits in my stomach and up my throat. my question is, is the nervousness really anxiety? i take paxil for panic attacks, and haven't had an attack since march, so i know it's working. but i've been taking the klonopin to ease the "nervousness" after taking my paxil. should i be on a diff. medication than paxil?

I went to another Dr who came recommended to me, and she wants me to also take Klonopin and start taking Prozac while tapering off Paxil. I am scared to do either. I finally went ahead and tried the Klonopin (.25) but have only taken it in the morning and twice a day as prescribed as I don't want to be addicited or a zombie.

Can I quit the paxil and take the klonopin 3 x a day as prescribed and safely get off Paxil. I am getting fat!

So to clear things up I take Propranolol twice a day everyday, Paxil once a day, and Klonopin twice a day as needed until the Paxil has time to get into my system to see if it will work any better than the Lexapro did.

IF this is true 4) Why am I prescribed Klonopin with the Prozac (and previously the Paxil?) I have had no problems with mixing the two together but I'm curious as to why it would say that in wikipedia. Thanks!

Did you taper slowly off Paxil before switching to Celexa of just stop the Paxil and start the Celexa? Because if you did, you're describing Paxil withdrawal, not necessarily Celexa side effects. Not saying the Celexa would have worked, just asking because it's important to know which is which in case you have to make this choice again sometime.

A month ago I was switched over from Paxil CR 25mg to Lexapro 10mg and felt better after 2 weeks. At that point I tried to wean down my Klonopin from 1mg to .5mg and up my Lexapro from 10mg to 15mg (doctors recommendations) after a week of doing that I felt terrible and went back up to Klonopin 1mg deciding to ween later. Well now I am a month into the start of Lexapro and even though my anxiety is better, its not great.

Hi all, well, it's been 2.5 months of Paxil, and about 2 months of it on 20mg. I take about .5mg Klonopin with it, but lately, that's increased to .75mg. Please help (b/c my OB-gyn doesn't quite get it I guess, and in the military, you can't see a reg doc if your preggers, just your OB)....WHY am I still feeling anxious/jittery after I take my Paxil???? Klonopin helps, so that's nice, but gosh this ***** a$$.

It never hurts to start low and go slow,In addition it is not uncommon to use a benzo such as Klonopin when weaning on to an AD, as Klonopin will make the weaning process much easier and actually your Klonopin dose is quite low, you might want to ask you doc if you can increase the dosage to .5mg twice a day as needed. When the Paxil kicks in you can then discontinue the Klonopin without any problems.

I had been on Paxil for 8 yrs due to a postpartum depression. Not thinking that I needed it any longer and with my doc's approval, I weaned myself off it. In hindsight, this was a bad decision. I started noticing little things but didn't give it much thought and BAM! It hit me full force again. Not so much the depression, but severe anxiety. I started back on the Paxil about a month ago along w/ a low dosage of Xanax, which I couldn't take because it really sent me for a loop.

Paxil is known to pack a wallop of a withdrawal, and many of your reported symptoms sound more like Paxil withdrawal than klonopin withdrawal. Klonopin withdrawal packs quite a wallop as well, and is usually gone off of the same way as other addictive drugs -- slowly and carefully, as abrupt quitting can also lead to seizures as this is also an anti-seizure medication.

I also take 1mg of Klonopin at night. My doc stated that I could switch over to Lexapro from Paxil so I took both for 2 weeks then dropped Paxil all together. Could I still be feeling the affects of Paxil withdrawal? I felt good after 2 weeks and even tried to come down on my Klonopin a couple of days after my paxil ended. Mistake! On Monday I started Paxil up again (after a month), just on 10mg, and Klonopin, about .5mg/day. Usually what happens is I wake up anxious/jittery/nerves and take .25mg Klono and then a few hours later my Paxil. A few hours after that I feel like I need another Klono due to anxiousness/jitteryness so I take another .25mg. This has been going on all week long. When will this go away??????

I went to my doctor today because my anxiety is kind of bad again. He upped my dosage of Paxil from 40mg to 60mg & gave me a prescription for Klonopin. The Klonopin is only as needed but he had me take one tonight to see how it would affect me, that went fine. Now I am nervous about upping my dosage of Paxil tomorrow. I am going to take 40mg in the morning & 20mg in the afternoon, as that is what my Dr. suggested.

Yes, Klonopin would relieve the anxiety that you're feeling but proceed with caution because Klonopin daily with Wellbutrin over long periods, will make the benzo withdrawal much harder / dangerous while on Wellbutrin.

When I first started suffering with depression and anxiety, I was put on paxil and depakote. I took the klonopin as needed even though it is mostly used for long term. I know that the drowsiness does go away and as I stated, it can be used for long term, however you definitely become dependent and need to be weaned off. Also, has your doctor said anything about buspar??? Now I take Paxil and buspar (2x a day) and Klonopin when needed (which is hardly never).

I have been taking Klonopin for about four months & would like to come off of it my prescribed paxil 20mg but i am afraid to take it because i have had rapid heart beat before i took it one day i would like to know if this is normal or seretonin syndrome and what i should do.

Well, so much for my little plan of using only Clonazepam to get off Paxil. I did well with it for about 3 weeks, while tapering off Paxil. My anxiety was much better, but then I started to feel depressed....deeply. So I have started on the Lexapro (2.5) and will go up on that while coming down off Paxil. I will still take the .25 Clonazepam until I am done with my transition and hopefully get off Clonaz. when I am all settled. Anyone else have this side effect with clonazepam / klonopin?

I take 12 mg of Klonopin, 150 mg of Trazadone and 40 mg of Paxil a day. Does that seem right?
