I take zoloft and ultram on a daily bsbis. Is there any concern with bad interactions? so far I feel none.
I just went up to the booth when I was picking up the amtriptyline and said I have an old rx for ultram and the doctor said It was ok to take with the amtriptyline and she said yes. Then of course I come home and put it in the computer where I keep all my prescribtions for any recalls and it comes up it may cause seizures. I am guessing if you are on a very high does of amtriptyline but I only take .10-.20 so that is very low. It is used for pain managment and not for depression.

The first link above just basically gives reported interactions (to the FDA), and is more related to long-term use of both meds. The info can be more frightening if taken out of context, but it IS important to see what has been reported.
You would definitely want to work with your doctor to find an appropriate antiemetic that is okay to take with the Paxil. Zofran may be a better option.
my daughter is very anxious so the dr put her on both the cymbalta 30 mg with the paxil of 20 for one week and then 15 paxel for another week and then 10 paxil and increase to 60 cymbalta. she had a brain trauma in a car accident and has to deal with alot so is this too much. she had a seizure on the ultram but she took too many at one time for a headache..
All you need to do is google drug interactions. There are a few really good sites that you punch in your meds and it warns you of the interactions. Every drug has side effects.
Hi and welcome to the forum....well I was on methadone for 6 1//2yrs and also have bipolar disorder so taking antidepressants was a fact of life for me...I had good luck with celexa will taking methadone...very little side effects mixing the 2 together but all antidepressant are not the same...I agree with mr lucky on asking your dr he/she
should at least know your on the methadone...
i understand that it is much harder to get off paxil if i stay on that. i see dr. tomorrow and i want to stay on effexor and klonopin. paxil scares me. eventually maybe in 6 mos i will be healthy and past smoking and i dont want to be stuck on meds for years. had dep 7 yrs ago but not panic attacks. am drinking lots of water.
Ultram Effed me up i was told it was non narcotic so non addicting. Ha i had no idea what i was doing to myself untill i stopped taking them...Wow that was hell the withdrawls were bad physically but mentally worse because of the antidepressant thats in them. That drug is bad news.
It's not that you can't take aspirin at all. All ssris have a warning about interactions with all NSAIDS, not just aspirin. You just have to be aware of bruising that might indicate excessive bleeding. So you have to be careful. Don't know about food interactions, I wasn't told of any. Lots of weight gain possible, however, so watch the fat and sugar and be careful with diet. I think you're thinking more of the MAO inhibitors, they have lots of food contraditions.
You ask a good question. EVERY drug you take has a plus and minus column. There is the good side and the bad side. This can be that you feel better, treat your condition as a good stuff but then also have to deal with what would be the bad stuff like side effects or becoming dependent on it (or addicted). If someone were to take Tramadol/Ultram for pain and addiction was a concern, then it would be best to not use it for more than one week.
The best thing to do would be to call a pharmacist and ask them if there would be any drug interactions between the antibiotic and either one of the pain meds. To the best of my knowledge, there are no interactions between pain meds and antibiotics, because I have been on various pain meds for the last 10 years now and have taken many different antibiotics in that time with no problem,but not being a trained, licensed medical person I cannot TELL you to take anything.
It seemed like I had my anxiety under control with Bupropion and lamictal but never quite cleared up the depression. So now Paxil. It has been 10 days at 20 mg.
I did have a few headaches and have not had a libido in a while so I wont notice this.Just wondering aboun the increase in anxiety.

some scary stuff what can happen when you really do some research and picking things apart! a good place to look for drug interactions and the level of interactions is on webmd and you can look up any drug on wiki look and you'll get all the details on them...
ive been on paxil for many years but have been getting bad attacks again so doc said stop paxil and take clonazepam but im getting bad withdrawals from the paxil.
