1809377 tn?1316520328 I am seeing my GYN tomorrow to make an apt to have a partial hysterectomy. I have seen a lot of the posts out there, but I would like to know what I can experiece post up... recovery time... discomforts... how long will it take for my body to get back to my new normal self, how long it will take for me to have sex again (it's been over 5 months)!!!
Avatar n tn I just had a repair in combination with a laparoscopic partial hysterectomy. I am on day 3 post surgery and off all pain meds except the Motrin 800 which is more to reduce swelling. I would not have done repair if my hysterectomy was not medically necessary even though it was bothersome it was not life threatening. Overall not in much pain from the repair.
Avatar f tn I had a partial hysterectomy just under 3 weeks ago, and i was just wondering how much walking is too much? I am only going for short walks at the moment, but feel i would be able to go for longer walks, but am afraid i might push myself too hard. any advice would be helpful, thanks.
Avatar f tn I'm having a partial hysterectomy done laproscopically in January due to Adenomyosis. Can anyone offer any advice for pre-surgery preparation and post-surgery recovery?
Avatar f tn I am a 36 year old who had to have a hysterectomy 8 years ago due to uncontrollable bleeding.. partial hysterectomy.. my ovaries, tubes, and part of my uterus are still intact.. cervix is gone.. factory closed.. haha.... recently I have had tremendous pains in the lower left quadrant of my abdomen, and this as of late coincides with bleeding vaginally.. bright red blood, so it's not "old" blood..
Avatar m tn They are now getting super heavy again and my uterus gets so enlarged before my period that it pushes on my bladder. I am going to get a partial hysterectomy next month. I am going to keep my ovaries so will not have to take hormones.
Avatar n tn Now that she has learned through an ultrasound that there are multiple fibroids, she said that procedure is not an option as it would basically cut off the blood supply to the uterus if they did that for each fibroid. The only option is a partial hestorectormy to remove my utereus. My ovaries are fine. The only reason I need to go ahead and do something is the fibroids are pushing up against my kidney and causing that to inflame and has caused pain in my lower stomach and my side/back.
Avatar n tn How long will it take for you to recover from a partial hysterectomy. I had mine a week ago, I feel like I am able to work already but I'm afraid that going back to work at one is not good for me.
Avatar n tn I have been having problems for the past 6 years started after I got tubes tied then had to go in for a partial hysterectomy and just 4 days ago had to go in and have my ovary's taken out and today I woke up with major back pain and stomach cramping
Avatar n tn i just recently within the past week had a partial hysterectomy with one ovary and uterus remove. I am having hot flashes and chills along with night sweats.
Avatar m tn im 39 years old i had a partial hysterectomy five years ago. I have two blood test and two urine test both neg. I have two ultrasound neg. But im peeing alot and my stomach con. to grow. i have read of women who are pregnant and there baby is attached to the liver another to her bowel and they are fine. I need help.
Avatar f tn It has been 1 yr and 4 months after my Partial Hysterectomy, It took a good 4 - 6 months to completely heal. I had a Partial Hysterectomy because my Gyn said I had Endometriosis. I had my Uterus and my Cervix removed. They left both my ovaries. They had to leave my ovaries, because I have Essential Thrombocytosis (ET), (which is a platelet disorder, My bone Marrow produces too many platelets in my blood, causing clotting). I take meds to lower my platelet count.
Avatar f tn Obviously, a Hysterectomy or partial is much more invasive and requires a much longer healing process~
Avatar n tn By partial hysterectomy, what do you mean? A hysterectomy is technically only the removal of the uterus, so you would still have ovaries. And yes, although the chances are extremely rare, you can diagnosed with OvCa and not have ovaries. The cancer is then usually called Primary Perotineal Cancer and requires the same treatment. Do you have any cysts?
Avatar f tn I have a partial Hysterectomy since I was 33..and I was wondering if there might be some new medical technology for women who want to get pregnant..
Avatar m tn I'm 99% certain that she can not get pregnant. I say 99 because I don't know what a partial hysterectomy entails. If it were a full hysterectomy, I'd be 100% certain. I am positive that she can not carry a pregnancy to term without a uterus.
1510783 tn?1290096307 I am scheduled to have a partial Hysterctomy because I've been diagnosed with Andemyosis. on December 15th (just my uterus will be removed, so far). What can I expect in regards to pain, recovery time and emotions. I've had my tubes tied for 4 years so I am fine about not having any more children. My doctor is not sure if she has to cut me or go vaginally. I am a little nervous and scared about this major procedure. Any feeback would be greatly appreciated. I am 38 years old.
Avatar f tn well i still have my ovaries so i think it must have been a partial hysterectomy and im actually seeing the man who did the op so ill see what he has to say thank you for your reply
Avatar f tn Can they address the issues with a partial hysterectomy? I did a LOT of research on partial hysterectomy. The possible issues they were testing me for were fibroids, adenemyosis and polyps. All are correctable by simply removing the uterus, some being correctable by D&C and ablation. After looking into the procedure, I realized that a partial hysterectomy would be ideal, if the test results prove that I have fibroids and/or adenemyosis.
Avatar f tn I had stage 4 precancerous cells and had a partial hysterectomy. After the surgery the doctor told my mom it was HPV. Since I had the partial hysterectomy would I still have HPV or would it have been removed? Also, I just found out I have elevated liver enzymes. Could this be fromm the HPV?
2041808 tn?1329931768 Hi all, Hope someone can answer a few questions. I am 37. This November I had a large fibroid removed to help with seriously bad periods. I am now 4 months later only slightly better on that front. My dr. is reccomending an ablasion or a partial hysterectmy. I did not inicially do an ablasion because was hoping maybe for a baby. At this point I need the bleeding to stop as it was making me anemic amung all the other issues that go along.I have gotten my iron up.
