Pancreatitis treatment home remedy

Common Questions and Answers about Pancreatitis treatment home remedy

pancreatitis

Avatar m tn Canned pumpkin is a great home remedy, under many circumstances. I just don't know anything about pancreatitis in particular, and so I don't know if there is anything about pumpkin that could aggravate her condition. Unfortunately, the dog sounds very seriously ill, and if she were mine I would be ready to try any type of palliation that the vet did not regard as dangerous. I'm just loathe to tell you that any of these ideas won't hurt a dog with pancreatitis, because I don't know.
Avatar n tn Therefore, you never get a diagnosis of pancreatitis, so,... you never get treatment for the pancreatitis. (Whew!) What would happen? Thanks again, in advance.
Avatar m tn I have had her blood work done and her fecal and also dewormed her , tried probiotics then a hairball remedy/laxative. She was going poop and pee and had an appetite until we dewormed her and then it seemed like her appetite got less and less then the diarreah came that was jelly like. We have given her a b-12 shot and a shot that is a steroid/cortisone shot that increases her appetite but is also an antiinflammatory. Her stomache has gone down some but her appetite is almost nothing.
Avatar f tn He had some short lived relief for about 2 weeks then the pain returned and the nausea and vomiting continued. He was hospitalized again with pancreatitis and is now home on pain meds with no relief of the symptoms. I have been doing some investigating on my own. I have read some things about Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction that seem to relate to his symptoms but I'm not sure if this is his problem or not. Has anyone heard of other Gastric Bypass patients with this problem??
1674610 tn?1317005820 The starvation diet whilst you were in hospital before MRI is the standard sort of treatment for pancreatitis, and since your previous number was 480 and then went down to 89, that does indeed show improvement. But getting a second opinion or consult is your best bet, to at least find out what the mass was.
Avatar n tn NO, YOU ACTUALLY DO NOT NEED YOUR GALLBLADDER. AND IF YOU HAVE A SICK GALLBLADDER AND DECIDE TO KEEP IT YOU CAN END UP WITH PANCREATITIS.. THE DRS I WORK FOR DO THESE DAILY..ITS DONE THROUGH A SCOPE AND TAKES NO LONGER THAN 30-45MINS TO DO.....
Avatar f tn 3 weeks ago she starts vomiting yellow Liquid with hairballs, stopped eating, her breathing was very fast 40 bits per minutes, I gave her the hairball remedy for three days in a raw, and I took her to the vet they gave her IV line for three days ( after the CBC test they found that she has a beginning of the dehydration) after that they took the IV line and start giving her boiled chicken she start having diarrhea again.
Avatar n tn Your cat really needs to see a vet, and if you can't afford one, then you should honestly think about doing the right thing and finding your cat a new home. The cat deserves good medical care, too. I'm sure you feel the same way about your baby.
Avatar f tn Pain started out of blue, went to ER for pain and dehydration I think, tests showed nothing, went home with Rx for hydroco and was told to see Gastro. Saw him and tests found nothing. He said take hydroco if that's what it took for me to get any pain relief so that I could eat or drink. Same year changed gastros due to ins changes. 2d gastro said I had gastroparesis, slow stomach emptying, because I was taking hydroco and that pain would stop if I stopped taking it!
Avatar f tn she has been on her PC day and night for the past 1 1/2 years trying to find some relief for me. I have tried every home remedy out there. Doctors are telling me to learn to live with the burning, but that's very easy for them to say. They are not in pain 90% every passing day. I am at my wits end and will be grateful for any advice you can give me. I don't know if these things are related, but I am very tired all of the time, I have chronic insomnia, my whole body aches.
Avatar f tn I found information on Plechner's syndrome online and took Tink to another vet who tested her blood and started steroid treatment-after learning her thyroid and immunology panels were all low. We also switched her food to Natural Balance duck and potato dry food. At the time December 2015 her creatinine was 1.1, BUN was 37. Since December, she has not had hives a single time. I thought she was doing well. She recently was peeing in the bed at night, I was prescribed Proin for her.
Avatar f tn I have an ~18 year old terrier mix rescue dog who developed chronic kidney disease--stage 2, about 2 weeks after an episode of acute pancreatitis—now about 7 weeks ago. He had been on metacam for degenerative joint disease (elbow, spine, hips) for about 2 years, so we have been monitoring his blood work at least every 6 months. His creatinine had been creeping up slowly, but entered the abnormal zone at 1.
Avatar n tn Mine was like 12% and I had zero stones so I had mine removed (and still am having problems..) One home remedy which I haven't done myself (scared me) was if you google 'liver cleanse recipe" you'll come across a few sites that list something like ...olive oil or...vinegar with lemon juice or something mix that you drink. They swear by it but..yeah proceed at your own risk there. Basically it's like a power flush for the liver..but something you can try.
544292 tn?1268886268 LOL Welcome and I hope you will make yourself at home. Snuggle down, get comfy. There's a lot of information and experience here with getting off Tramadol. It's not impossible, lots of peeps here now living Tram Free Lives! Love & Healing!
978118 tn?1248498865 but another home remedy is to go out and buy some digestive enzyme tablets and take them with meals as directed. It'll take pressure off your pancrease if that really is the problem and help you digest... That's basically the treatment right there that many people use..i'd avoid asprin or all pain pills since they only add to the problem. Most people who have acute pancreatitis avoid the offender and get better but can't intake whatever it was without bringing it back on.
Avatar n tn when I spilt it out, I see bloody, smelly saliva. its really irritating. I really need some home remedy. please, I don't know what to do...
179856 tn?1333550962 Sorry you have been ill, but glad you are getting out. I hate hospitals and it makes it worse when you have to deal with ignorance. Be well and go home and rest!
Avatar n tn He gave her broad spectrum antiobiotics and gave me some to give her now she's back home. But she still won't eat - she's lost loads of weight, and she's still vomiting - though it's only liquid now. The vet didn't tell me how to keep her energy up or feed her with a syringe or anything and I don't htink they supplemented her the whole week! My uneducated theory is she had hairballs and started vomiting and developed cat anorexia after a few days of not feeling like eating.
1916673 tn?1420236870 I am trying a holistic treatment for her teeth which is not helping. It works great on my younger dog who has pearly whites. But she needs a good cleaning and I fear I am between rock and hard place. Do I do the dental and risk her life or let it be? I know the bacteria from dental decay is not good for her either. I am also interested in some home made cooking diets. I am sorry this is so long. I keep reading and still have so many questions.
Avatar f tn I have tried every supplement and homeopathic remedy known to man to stop the stones from forming without any long-term success. The ursodial I take 600 mg 3 times per day slows it down a little, but doesn't really fix the problem. After having the ERCP I usually feel pretty goood for about 5 months then I start getting symptoms again and have to have it done again. There is no real explanation as to why it keeps happening. Now they are saying it must be genetic.
Avatar n tn Has anyone ever tried any of the "liver and gallbladder cleanses" the olive oil and apple juice home remedy, or "Gall cleanse", which is supposed to dissolve them. http://www.gallstonesite.com/ Do these work?
Avatar n tn so what are the list of diseases he should be testing for? also are you saying that if he had a gall stone stuck he could have had jaundice without any stomach pain? are you saying that since he is seeing an improvement he should consider the stone was expelled from the system?
Avatar f tn Did your Vet really send her home with nothing???? Why is he Not treating for the Anaplasmosis? The treatment of choice is always Doxycycline and the dog should show remarkable improvement in 3-5 days once started on the antibiotic!!! The kidneys need to supported with fluids & medication and a renal diet until the disease is past.......Fluids are vital to flush the toxins quickly...You can do this at home once the Vet shows you how......
1716071 tn?1308806756 I do want to add though I DO NOT AGREE with the treatment option of steroids for any reason!!! this treatment can lead to many nasty health problems for kitties. Do the reading than post again and we'll talk, see if her spots resemble the ones in the photos.... I too had a cat with extensive eosinophilic plaque (EGC or eosinophilic granuloma complex) http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_eosinophilic_granuloma.
Avatar n tn All the physicians and experts that she met told her that it was impossible to be due to the Interferon treatment, but before the treatment, all went well. She is so exhausted that she can't fight no more against medical community in order to admit the origin of her symptoms and to push them to try to find a beginnning of solution. Is there any progress in the comprehension of the cause of these symptoms ?
Avatar n tn The problem with bile reflux gastritis is that there isn't a good diagnostic test to detect it. Treatment usually is sucralfate which coats the stomach and allows it to heal. If this fails, one can surgically disconnect the stomach from the duodenum but this is always a tough decision when based on a presumptive diagnosis.
Avatar n tn Can anyone address the subject of the side effects of Interferon treatment, how I can respect his privacy, but help him somehow, or help me with my perspective? He lives at my Mom's. Another brother is there, and they are very codependent. Can anyone relate to this?
Avatar n tn She says she gave him his paraffin every day (I am sure she did), but when I got home there was an obvious and critical problem. I immediately called a family vet (literally, a family member who is actually a very well-respected vet). This vet argued that a colon-ectomy could have serious side-effects, and that I should try to regulate the problem by other means if I could.
181575 tn?1250202386 I am reposting articles / summaries on the treatment management of chronic HepB. "cajim" located these articles which are quite informative. I thought about putting them on a seaprate Health Page but didn't think it was appropriate since we didn't write them. Let's make this a sort of "Unofficial Research Thread" or "URT" for this type of information. Let's keep this URT free of comments.
