Avatar n tn Hi everyone Do these symptoms sound like fibro? I had slight tingling in both feet for a couple of months along with some vibration. At the same time I had muscle twitches (like pop corn popping) with no pain. Before this I had chest pain and feeling like my heart was skipping beats. I went to the doctor and had an EKG. He said my heart looked fine from those results. He took blood and I have no thyriod issues or diabetes (although my mom has hypothryiod issues and a suspicion of fibro).
Avatar f tn They say that it takes around 1-3 years to repair/restore the body after sobriety if it is gonna repair!) Most of my men friends in AA talk about their dreams like you do! In and out of color - etc. Be sure to have a 6-8 ounce glass of water with fresh lemon juice squeezed into it in the morning...this is a natural liver detoxifier! Keep It Simple!
Avatar n tn All symptoms of what I call the 'antibiotic syndrome' which have greatly increased in frequency in recent years. On further examination, more symptoms may be discovered. Most of the gastro-intestinal tract is tender when pressed, especially the small intestine, liver and gall bladder. There may even have been a gall bladder operation that failed to improve the condition, sometimes even worsening the symptoms. There could be a history of thrush or oral, anal or vaginal itching.
Avatar n tn This is the first Web site I've found where there are people with the same symptoms that I have. I am a 32 year old male who lives in Seattle, WA. I have Thalassemia minor and suffer mainly from ongoing fatigue. I am ALWAYS tired, no matter how well I eat or what vitamins I take. Doctors tell me that I'm fine and "just need to avoid Iron and do some aerobic exercise." I would exercise if I had the energy to. It's comforting to see postings from people all over the world.
Avatar n tn My MD was at a total loss as to what caused my original pain which returned as soon as my pancreatitis pain resolved. I was lucky in that the pancreatitis that was due to the ERCP resolved quickly. Still and all I was out of work for 3 weeks. Tracie, I hope you are feeling better. When did you first realize that something was wrong? You went home after your ERCP, right? Did you end up admitted through the ER?

Avatar f tn Reading my journals for the last six weeks-will provide some of the highlights when I can, but now I just can't. Hopefully, this will help somone else recognize the symptoms of kidney failure in their babies. I cannot express to all of you how much your comments mean to us right now. Not sure we could make it without you. It is so hard.
Avatar n tn I would love to know if you have found anything on your symptoms? My husband has the same symptoms but his has gotten worse in the last few weeks. I have researched Ulcerative Colitis and he has all the signs so I thought. After reading your symptoms he has the same ones even the excessive sweating. This is really scaring me because he says he feels like he is dying. So, if we get a diagnosis I will let you know.

82861 tn?1333457511 He can count on having several cases of pancreatitis coming in along with the usual overindulgence GI symptoms. Pancreatitis is expensive to treat because it's usually done in-patient and the condition is fatal more often than not. Much as dogs love human food, it's better to be safe than sorry and keep them on their usual diet. Educate your guests that human food is off the menu for your dogs no matter how much they beg.
Avatar n tn I have been reading about pancreatitis, and was wondering that if I have in fact caused enough damage that my pancreas is "digesting itself" due to the digestive enzymes being active in the pancreas, will this repair itself if I stop drinking? Or will the damage to liver and pancreas be permanent? Can I reverse this? OR, is it more likely that what I am feeling is liver pain?
Avatar n tn The university had all my records and I was again showing all the classic symptoms of pancreatitis. Do what you have to do to get your son well. Don't stop seeking medical attention because a dr. said it was all in his head. If he is still having pain after all this time, it's my bet he will eventually be diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. Write if you want more info and good luck to your son.
Avatar f tn I have A Manual of Laboratory Diagnostic Tests book by Frances Fischbach, second edition.. which gives some possible causes for elevated levels of ALT and AST. Avatar m tn You may have pancreatitis, and probably should have stayed in hospital. Insurance fears are understandable, but please don't check yourself out AMA (Against Medical Advice) if you need to be admitted again. You can always ask your doctor to have a staff member check your coverage. Back to pancreatitis. If your bile duct is clogged (the same stuff that causes gallstones) it slows or entirely stops the flow of bile from the liver and digestive enzymes from the pancreas.
Avatar m tn Although chronic alcohol consumption is the most frequent cause of elevated serum GGT activity, an increased activity of this enzyme can also be observed under medical treatment and in acute pancreatitis, myocardial infarction, hyperthyroidism, anorexia nervosa, certain muscle diseases, neurological disorders, porphyria cutanea tarda, and some malignancies.

Avatar n tn The GI doctor she just changed to recently now is suggesting she pursue the SOD treatment option in San Francisco with one of the experts in the field. We've heard about this option in the past, and from research we've done, my mom has just been too scared that the manometry and the sphinterotomy will make her worse and/or not help at all. Not just the research, but the super specialist himself in San Francisco basically warned her against it when she saw him like 6 months ago.

Avatar n tn PSC occurs more frequently in people with ulcerative colitis than in those with Crohn’s disease, affecting men more than women. Symptoms include jaundice, nausea, weight loss, and itching. PSC may not improve with medical treatment for IBD and may ultimately require liver transplantation. Avatar f tn The symptoms can take months to years to manifest, usually from the age of 30yrs and is more common in woman than men. The neurologist thinks that the so called ‘glandular fever’ I had at the age of 32 was actually a flare-up of myositis, but misdiagnosed (once again). Usually the inflammation destroys the muscle fibres over time, but anti-inflammatories and cotrizone medication slows down this process.

Avatar n tn They will find out the results in a couple days. I'm worried about her and hate to see her in so much pain. It's very unlike her to cry over a stomach ache. I'm wondering if it could be appendicitis. The Dr. doesn't seem to think so but didn't give her another blood test today (12-27). The last one was done on (12-23). The first few days her pain was more often in the evenings.
