Avatar m tn Thanks for the reply, my dr has not ordered the pancreatic enzyme labs yet, she feels it is GERD related. I suppose without any other symptoms of pancreatitis it would be low. I am a very anxious person so it's most likely a mixture of the two (GERD and Anxiety). I have no fever, no vomitting, no jaundice, I am at a loss.
Avatar n tn Within the last two years she has been diagnosed with kidney stones, anemia, pancreatitis, hypokalemia, mixed connective tissue disease, asthma, raynauds disease, mono, bronchitis, pleurisy, pericarditis, chostochondritis, uti's, kidney infections...She has had a fever for weeks...The drs say her potassium is dangerously low and they've given her multiple IV's with potassium, but it hasn't helped make any improvements.
Avatar f tn I had another ERCP and ended up in the hosital with abdominal pain and fever. The symptoms disappeared quickly but I had elevated liver enzymes and my WBC was high. My CT scan came back normal. I feel my symptoms sound like pancreatitis. But, could I have a normal CT scan and normal A&L levels and still have pancreatitis?
Avatar f tn PAIN IN MIDDLE OF CHEST WHERE RIBS CONNECT WITH DIARREHEA AND FEVER CAN'T EAT GOES RIGHT THROUGH HIM AND FEELS NAUSEA
Avatar m tn ve avoided all carbs and sugar on the advice of dr google, I started to suspect it could be Pancreatitis as a side effect of the hand foot mouth virus. This diet seems to help, I barely feel the pain now, it comes and goes. I have also been peeing a lot, but I've been drinking a lot of water. Not necessarily because I'm super thirsty, but when I'm not feeling well, I try to drink a lot of water.
Avatar f tn I am a 49 year old female and have been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus, autoimmune hepatitis & Primary Biliary Chirosis (6 years ago for the PBC).
Avatar f tn I had my gallbladder removed over one year ago. One week after having it removed I began to have abdominal pain that hurt through to my back. It is very painful and nothing helps. I've had multiple tests done and 2 ERCP's. After the first ERCP the pain stayed gone for 2 months and then returned. After 2nd ERCP, I ended up in the hospital with pain and fever. My CT scan was normal and so were my A&L levels.
Avatar f tn ve ever had is a (drum roll please)...................CRAMP????? Hahahahaha, dipshit! All my symptoms point to Pancreatitis. I am going to my regular GI Doc on Tues, excited to maybe get some answers. I also "googled" the results of my Transvaginal Ultrasound, ha! I seem to have a "Complex" cyst on my left ovary. Those are the kind that have to be evaluated right away and removed, they are not good!
Avatar f tn Had the first episode after running a fever for tens days of 102. The next time happened without any fever. I have had a reoccurring low grade fever for years that run around 99 it happens about every other month or about every third month. The duration time for fever is different every time. When the fever comes on I feel fatigue, nausea, and weak. The blood tests show normal results in platelet count.
Avatar f tn Pancreatitis symptoms are kinda like that and you will.
Avatar f tn If it is the bile ducts you can have stents put in. Bile duct problems can cause pancreatitis or vice versa. I am a long time sufferer from pancreatitis and sod. If you have problems with backed up bile ducts it could certainly have caused the sepsis you had. IT will push toxins in to the blood stream and make you sick. An ultrasound will be better in finding a blockage in your duct. But the best way is an ercp.
Avatar f tn I've already had my gall bladder removed years ago (full of tiny little sand-like stones). I recently had another attack that required me to go to the ER, which I was sure was Pancreatitis (I'd had it before due to the stones before the gall bladder was removed). It didn't show up in my blood work as Pancreatitis. The ultrasound showed that my ducts were dilated - what could cause this sort of thing?
Avatar f tn t have any stomach pains before yesterday. Anybody present wirh symptoms like this before and if so, what did you do for it? Thank you all in advance, my alternative methods arn't helping cuz he won't eat or drink anything due to the pain it brings.
422425 tn?1307992990 I have been searching on the net for information about Autoimmune Pancreatitis. I was diagnosed with this disease in July of 2007. My doctors were sure I had cancer because I had a mass the size of a golf ball on the tail of my pancreas. I also have masses in my kidneys. I was very relieved to find out it was NOT cancer, but an autoimmune respose to something. My question is.....has anyone else in this community been told they have this, and did the treatment work for you.
Avatar n tn Hey all, i'm 21 years old and about a month + ago I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I had my first attack - a really high fever with stomach pain - that had me in the hospital for about 3 days. After being discharged and going back to food, I had the same fever (no stomach pain this time around) 2 days later and that ended up with me sitting in the hospital for a month without food or water.
Avatar n tn Can a person develop chronic pancreatitis after having acute pancreatitis that resulted from having an ERCP? I have developed abdominal pain that radiates to my side and back that is relieved when I lean forward and worsens when I lean back. No nausea or vomiting, no fever. Should I follow up with my doctor? I had the acute pancreatitis around 2004. Thanks for your response.
Avatar m tn I'm 58, male and I have diverticulosis, first diagnosed 1-1/2 yrs ago. Since then, I have had about three attacks. These were treated with antibiotics and I have learned what I can and can't eat. I'm controlling it. After the last attack, my GI doc sent me for CT Scan w/contrast of abdominal/pelvic area. Unexpectedly, a 6.5mm lesion was detected on the pancreas. I was supposed to have an endosonography this past Sunday.
Avatar n tn s the flu, I want to make sure he knows that it could be other things. Symptoms like lower back pain, fever, fatique and diarrhea just scream gallbladder to me and I don't want him to wait too long before going in.
Avatar n tn I have had what my gastroenterologist calls mild pancreatitis several times in the last few years. What can I do to prevent the pancreatitis from re-occurring? Is there a specific diet? My doctor just says, "bed rest, lots of fluids, a light diet." I'm not sure what "a light diet" means. Since I already eat light (6 VERY small meals a day - due to my many intestinal surgeries), I don't know what more I can do.
Avatar n tn From the vague symptoms ic ould be anything ranging from bad gas t pancreatitis.. the stomache, pancrease and intestines are on the left side of your body, an exacerbation of any of those areas could contribute to your problem ..
Avatar n tn I went home and that night took my temp 99.4 and thought that was a fever. They set me up for a ct scan and told me I had pancreatitis? I went to norwood urgent care and they hooked me to a IV and that was that . I have not had any pain or vominting, lost weight becausebof liquid diet and anxiety. Can someone please tell me if this will happen again or if I should do a follow up with a GI specialist???
Avatar m tn It seems like everytime that I drink acouple beers the next day I wake up with a pain in my stomach and a low grade fever. I went to my GI doctor and had a endoscopy and he said, beside the Barett's Esophagus and hiatal hernia that he knew about everything looked normal. He said, maybe the pain was Celiac disease or even Pancreatitis. He said, I would need to get blood work to check this out.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with pancreatitis and also at the same time my knee replacement that was 15 months old became infected and I'm just wondering if they are tied together.
Avatar f tn I am not sure if you have some Yeast overgrowth ...one easy treatment is to avoid all foods and breads with yeast, sugar and cheeses. Drink pure milk, pure juices and fresh fruits...no grapes or grape juice for a month at least. to drink fill up a glass with ice and put in some water ..this is what you should drink at least 9 times a day. If feeling better, it probably was the yeast infection ..will need at least 6 months of above dietary restrictions. Believe!
583644 tn?1221445546 For spine disorder, MRI is usually done and for pancreatitis serum amylase along with ultrasound or CT scan is usually done. Low grade fever, precipitation of pain with alcohol is quite suggestive of pancreatitis.
Avatar n tn What causes vomiting light green bile, stomach and back pain, having no fever? ER doctors don't seem to know. CT scans and x-rays are unremarkable.
Avatar n tn What would cause this? I have no other symptoms of pancreatitis and am able to eat just fine. However, they did find I am constipated pretty badly.
Avatar f tn Fever, chills, and jaundice are uncommon symptoms. Patients may also present with acute recurrent pancreatitis. " More layman's terms:http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/sphincter-oddi-dysfunction.html from the site, quote: "The disease you are describing is known as sphincter of oddi dysfunction (SOD). Avatar n tn t say what the parameters for OK vs NOT OK are; i.e., How high does the fever need to be, to be considered a problem? The severe symptoms I've experienced aren't even addressed, except the fever. I was never given any information on post-op care, or on what to expect. I'm only now able to go on the internet. I feel so betrayed. Immediately after I awoke from my surgery, I was literally crying for help; as my pain was intolerable!
