Avatar m tn My cat was DX w pancreatitius & met all symptoms for a few weeks / the meds worked but it got bad. Then a big turn happened. He started eating & now won't stop! His constant meowing is driving me crazy.he lost weight whwhen really sick. He is still underweight but why does he demand food 24/7? I'm so stressed out I can't think straight. Upset too if his DX was wrong we spent so much $$ on labs/meds. Now I'm not sure/don't think he has it! Help.
Avatar f tn ve ever had is a (drum roll please)...................CRAMP????? Hahahahaha, dipshit! All my symptoms point to Pancreatitis. I am going to my regular GI Doc on Tues, excited to maybe get some answers. I also "googled" the results of my Transvaginal Ultrasound, ha! I seem to have a "Complex" cyst on my left ovary. Those are the kind that have to be evaluated right away and removed, they are not good!
19079998 tn?1472020580 Hi I am Selena & i am 21 years old. Its been a year since I felt those signs of having an angina..The pain comes from the left chest and runs certainly around my chest.Down to my abdomen up to back of my neck. Usually, I feel the pain everytime after having my meals sometimes or on times of mental stress. In kinda worried because we have family history of heart problem. Now my question is, could it be possible that at my early age I do have my angina? Thanks in advance & Godbless.
Avatar m tn ve avoided all carbs and sugar on the advice of dr google, I started to suspect it could be Pancreatitis as a side effect of the hand foot mouth virus. This diet seems to help, I barely feel the pain now, it comes and goes. I have also been peeing a lot, but I've been drinking a lot of water. Not necessarily because I'm super thirsty, but when I'm not feeling well, I try to drink a lot of water.
Avatar m tn Anna, these were my symptoms when i first was in the hospt. w/ my pancreatitis, i had high Amalyse and Lipase levels and dull aching pain in my mid to left abdomen(for a week).., and since then my stools have been abnormal, I also have lost about 15 pounds, and i indeed have had a stool test for fat and mine came back negative. Thanks for sharing your story anna, hope your test comes back okay I just would like Dr. Rogue to give his opinion on what he thinks is wrong with me.
Avatar n tn (We manage it very well with diet and Vetsulin but it takes dedication, a rigid feeding schedule and 2 shots a day.) Keep an eye out for the symptoms once your pal is well. Early symptoms include increased drinking, iurinating more (accidents may be a sign), weight loss, increased appetite, dehydration and sudden cataract formation.
Avatar m tn My aunt had a mini-schnauzer who had an acute attack early in life. She had chronic pancreatitis for the rest of her life with a handful of acute attacks thrown in. BUT, she lived to be 18. I'm praying for that kind of outcome for your little girl. Do keep us posted on her progress.
Avatar f tn He sometimes just starts to look uncomfortable, moving head up and down and licking lips as if experiencing eminent regurgitation (tho he does not vomit on those occasions), but it is more like nausea and he is rampant at those times to devour grass or anything he can -- if permitteed, he will frantically run around licking the carpet or blanket or anything as if trying to sooth something.
Avatar f tn My chocolate lab "Skip" is about 10 years old and developed pancreatitis for the first time. We took him to the doctor he never vomited or diahrea until the day after he got to the vets office. His amalyse was high like 8000 and his glucose and white blood count low but we got an ultrasound to make sure not cancer. He started to show improvements with the IV and antibiotic. Now a week later he is starting to decline and the vet has tried everything.
Avatar m tn I thought symptom was for early pancreatitis, but no typical symptoms for that other than the bloating and back pain. I do not see any other cause of back pain associated with bloating in all my research. Bloating (without gas) associated with back pain is an odd combination of symptoms. I am now starting to take ibuprofen for the pain. (I am 68 years old.) Any help on this please? I am at a loss. Thanks, WillPower PS: High to all my Hep C friends of the past!
Avatar n tn I have read that gallbladder surgery is dangerous in the presence of pancreatitis and that the pancreatitis can also cause gallbladder disease or vice versa. Anyone had similar question?
1727909 tn?1314845210 I'm having gallbladder pain and symptoms- has anyone gained weight after the surgery? And what is it about GB removal that makes you gain weight?
Avatar f tn Last year was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Am again suffering from similiar symptoms. Hospital told me not to eat till I saw family doctor. He told me not to eat for 3 days, drink water only. Symptoms got better starting eating carbs after that. 8months later and similiar symptoms, fatigue, bloating. Shall I assume the liquid diet for a few days? Not sure what the doctor or hospital will do other than tell me that and don't want to waste 12 hours in the ER again, let alone the cost.
Avatar m tn It persisted for several hours so I decided to retire early. Without warning, I began to feel chills and I could not get warm. I went straight to bed and under the covers but I began shaking violently almost. I could not get warm. I knew that I would soon begin a fever. I don't think I noticed that pain any more but I had a bad headache and dry, stuffy nose. Mostly, I just remember feeling hot, even though I was cold. This went on for about 12 hours.
Avatar n tn The endoscopy found mild gastritis. All other test are normal. The pancreatic specialist did not mention pancreatitis at the time and only prescribed nexium and sulcrafate for the gastritis. I am 67, and never had a previous bout with pancreatitis. Moderate beer drinker. How should I be treated?
Avatar f tn You may have chronic pancreatitis. Find a biliary specialist soon. You should get testing to determine if you have this or not. If you do they will advise you what to do to help.
Avatar m tn Have her checked for Pancreatitis, my son has been going through some of the very same symptoms and he had a upper GI done that found Chronic Pancreatitis and now they are also checking him for Celiac disease, which is an allergy to Gluten. It would be worth a try!!
Avatar n tn I had my first attack of acute pancreatitis last week. It was a mild attack. I spent a couple of days in the hospital on IV. I'm feeling much better and haven't had another painful attack. However, I still seem to have soreness on my left side, but not in the same location as the pancreatitis pain. My stomach is also still bloated. My attack was 5 days ago. My question is; is it normal to have some residual soreness after acute pancreatitis?
Avatar f tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pancreatitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20360227 It's my understanding that sometimes in severe scaring cases they will do surgery or use nerve blocks to help. But more information would be beneficial for more discussion.
Avatar m tn m not a big drinker, and in fact have had no alcohol (or any other vice) for probably 5 months in effort to lose weight. The symptoms are making me think chronic pancreatitis based on what I have read though I have had no symptoms like this prior to the initial event. Over the course of a few months, the symptoms do not seem to be worsening, which is good, but also not getting better.
Avatar m tn My husband had pancreatitis in early October. They kept him in the hospital for 5 days. They kept him on strong pain medication to help. He was not allowed to eat for 2 days, then they gave him jello and broth. They treated it very seriously! Maybe seek a second opinion, get a different GI doctor.
