Common Questions and Answers about Pancreatitis medications side effects

pancreatitis

Avatar n tn Have you put this into your search engine for answers, put in Zanaflex and side effects, also the pharmacy may help they can put it into their PC there,I know there are side effects from a lot of meds and the warnings are usually on the label. I am getting some similar pain but mine is not so bad, it came on after I was prescribed Penicillin and took strong pain Meds and had dental work done , I am still a mystery but not taking any other prescribed meds that make me ill.
1286779 tn?1400012806 I think Jaybay just gave you great advice. Lots of elderly have different side effects than the more common ones. Medications can easily interact and sometimes medications that have been fine for a long time all of a sudden aren't. A gerentologist probably is the best place to look for answers. When my mom was alive, we had a few kinks with her medications.

One side effect is I lost a lot of weight. Which was good to begin with as I was a size 12 going on to 14 but I am now a size six. I really have to watch that I don't lose anymore weight. I'd like to gain some muscle tone too. I also have some agitation, or it increased what was already there. I alway fidgited now I do it more.
1210142 tn?1266077031 looking for BP medications with good proven record and less side effects? Do I still have to take beta blockers for the rest of my life or there is another alternative- I understand they are very useful after a heart attack but I feel horrible.Statins and Plavix do not give me any trouble so far. Any opinion and advise will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn Lyrica does not commonly cause the mentioned side effects, though very rarely issues like pancreatitis, rhabdomyolysis may be associated. I would suggest consulting a gastroenterologist for a possible evaluation of the symptoms and suggestion of an appropriate management plan. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have been having discomfort in my stomach area, especially the right side, and back ache that moves up and down, since January. I have had ultra sound, upper GI, Endoscopy, CT scan, MRI, MRCP. Hida Scan, back xrays, and all the lab work, that includes blood test for pancreas and liver. They did find two side branch lesions about 1 cm each in the pancreas. The radiologist and my pancreatic specialist said they need to be monitored and no real concern at this time.
Avatar m tn What kind of delusions are you suffering from? Are you on any other medications? I do not think what you are experiencing is a side effect of the Celexa....although I am not an MD, I have taken Celexa myself and read thuroughly on the known side effects. I would talk to a doctor immediately.
1495558 tn?1288805527 this does not sound like a normal reaction, and why, for heavens sake, if she is having these side effects, should she stay on it.
Avatar m tn I would like to know if these are side effects of the meds or if it is possible i have some disease that affects my joints/disks as well as raises my BP?
229538 tn?1300377767 Hi all ! Can someone please tell me about pancreatitis and the mortality rate when your cat gets it ? My Kaci cat whom I just love so much is old (about 161/2 ) and I have been taking her to the Vet to get hydrated about every 4 days . She is not really eating well and I am really worried . Anything more that I can do for her ? Any suggestions would be appreciated so much ! Thank you ..
Avatar f tn I am pleased your daughter is in remission without drugs, as the drugs themselves can cause serious side effects, but for those of us with intractable Crohn's, severe rectal haemorrhages requiring blood transfusions, IV steroids etc. an immuno-suppressant seems to be the only way to keep the disease in remission. Hope your daughter continues to do well and thrive.
422425 tn?1307992990 I have been on a huge round of steriods since the summer, I am afraid of the side effects, and want to go off of them. My doctors won't let me, so I am just looking for some advice and maybe a natural treatment for it. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Hello. I am a 35 yr old female. I had my gallbladder removed at age 26, and that's when all the problems started. I went from a size 1 to a size 9 over the next year and I am currently a size 14. I had been very skinny my whole life and could eat anything I wanted with no worries.
Avatar n tn Are there any side effects to taking celexa, adderal, and xanax for bed time daily?
Avatar n tn Hair loss is sometimes a side effect of taking beta blockers. Not sure if there's a way to stop that other than changing medications. You have normal sinus rhythm but it's fast? How fast? If it's consistently over 100, you should talk to your cardio about that. It's not normal or healthy. Your meds may need to be adjusted.
559187 tn?1330782856 Has anyone here ever had pancreatitis? If so, did you have it after getting your MS diagnosis? I am wondering how much of an impact, if any, did the this affect your MS symptoms? I can't possibly believe that this could trigger yet another MS relapse as I feel I paid my dues with the relapse hat just preceeded the pancreatits, but is it possible? Thanks.
909257 tn?1242668182 Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.
21064 tn?1309308733 Hi everyone! Thanks again for the responses on the medications thread. I think I may have given the wrong idea about side effects. Just to clarify, for this thread I'm looking for just the names of medications. MedHelp hopes to provide quick links to medications we want to know more about.
Avatar f tn Hi Jessie: I'm really sorry that you are suffering. I absolutely understand. I'm not a doctor and I know next to nothing about this stuff but I'm learning through my own illness. Your symptoms could be SO many things including gallbladder, Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction, pancreatitis, etc. Doing your own research can only help. Avatar n tn I've noticed that after 3 months of daily prednisone that I have developed hair on my upper lip and jaw line. Has anyone else experienced side effects like this? I don't see how it will go away on it's own. How do you treat unwanted facial hair? This is quite upsetting to me. Thanks!
