Avatar m tn I have seen an opthalmologist who says there is nothing wrong with my eyes, but said perhaps it could be due to circulation, I also have had a couple of treadmill tests for blood pressure and ecg in the last few years, and also a carotid artery scan, they are all normal, my blood pressure is also fine, I do have osteoarthritis of the neck, could this be affecting my eyesight in someway by restricting the blood flow, I would be extremely grateful for your advice as this is really worrying, I hav
Avatar n tn Yes, poor circulation can cause ischemic white matter in brain. When the circulation is poor, small blood vessels of the brain do not receive enough oxygen rich blood and this cause area of ischemia. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
Avatar m tn My dermo sent me for tons of bloodwork related to what he diagnosed as poor circulation in my arms (resulting in a marble rash) he is sure this has to do with blood circulation and is trying to find the cause. Had a low risk exposure 8 weeks ago....is this at all a condition or appearance associated with HIV?

Avatar f tn Also has anyone ever had normal blood levels with pancreatitis?
Avatar f tn My chocolate lab "Skip" is about 10 years old and developed pancreatitis for the first time. We took him to the doctor he never vomited or diahrea until the day after he got to the vets office. His amalyse was high like 8000 and his glucose and white blood count low but we got an ultrasound to make sure not cancer. He started to show improvements with the IV and antibiotic. Now a week later he is starting to decline and the vet has tried everything.
Avatar f tn Ask your doctor to do a blood test for amylase & lipase levels.
Avatar m tn So I went to the dermotologist and he says that I have Cutis Marmorata (or marble skin) which is from poor circulation and blood flow which may be cause by a blood disorder, vitamin deficiency or lyme lupus etc. He is running every blood test under the sun. I definitely have been noticing tingling and swelling in hands and feet. I'm really nervous about what this could mean! Any idea or experience with this diagnosis.
Avatar n tn A deficit of blood flow to that area could cause right-side heart failure causing less than normal blood flow to the lungs for oxygenation and thereby reducing blood/oxygen to the circulation system. If the cardiac output is low, that could cause your symptoms. Worst case scenario if it is heart related. An EF60-65% is the amount of blood in the left ventricle chamber that is pumped into circulation with each heartbeat....normal is 50 to 70%. You have strong heart contractions!
Avatar f tn I am not familiar with diverculitis but I do know elevated lipsase and amylase is a sign of pancreatitis which can come from many things like meds, cystic fibrosis, genetics, alcohol, or high tryglicerides. Did you dr mention this?
Avatar f tn Is there anyway that all four tests and blood work missed liver disease and/or pancreatitis?
Avatar f tn The white spots on your hands may be due to a condition called livedo reticularis. Livedo reticularis is thought to be due to some abnormality of local blood circulation. This discolouration is described as lacy or net-like in appearance and commonly found on arms, legs, hands, and feet. Livedo reticularis may be aggravated by cold exposure and is persistent; does not disappear after warming.
Avatar m tn The irritating effects of alcohol may cause gastritis (inflammation of the lining of the stomach), pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), or a peptic ulcer (a raw area in the lining of the stomach or intestines). Alcohol can also damage your small intestine and keep it from absorbing nutrients. Alcohol can keep you from getting deep sleep, which may mean a less restful night's sleep. Also, drinking alcohol can make insomnia worse.
Avatar f tn She has poor or bad blood circulation in both legs. She has had stints placed in both but unfortunately have collapsed, leaving her in severe pain mostly on her left side. She experiences pain in her toes, the tingling along with the feeling of being cold in her toes all the time. She is on several medications, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure and of now the pain. Is there anything we can do for her to help reduce the pain?
Avatar f tn Usually, a person has to wean down (take 1/2 pill for so many days before stopping). Your hands are purple because of poor blood circulation due to low blood pressure, most likely. I know elderly people on heart medication who have the same symptoms.
Avatar n tn It sounds like your husband has at least pancreatitis based on CT, but it is unusual that the other blood work was normal. Usually pancreatitis presents with elevated amylase and/or lipase. Significant weight loss is concerning for cancer. Jaundice, dark urine, and light stools would also be concerning if present.
Avatar n tn My question is does this mean I have chronic pancreatitis or can you not tell on a MRCP? Does the duct dilatation set off an inflamation of the liver and pancreas and cause the pancreatitis pain? Also can the duct dilatation heal on its own in time? I have no desire to undergo an ERCP as I've heard such nightmare stories from people who have undergone but yet I'm so tired of not feeling good and having pain and just would like to feel good again. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn Have you noticed that PATM reactions increase when you feel poor blood circulation somewhere in the body? For example: sitting for a long time, or anything like lying on your own arm for a few minutes?
1428239 tn?1333457053 I'm also experiencing the same thing. When I wake up I literally can't use my hands, It's impossible to make a fist it hurts so bad, I have to let it sit for about 5 minutes before my hands are useable again. I just had an appt. yesterday and my blood pressure was perfect so they weren't concerned.
Avatar n tn I have had ultra sound, upper GI, Endoscopy, CT scan, MRI, MRCP. Hida Scan, back xrays, and all the lab work, that includes blood test for pancreas and liver. They did find two side branch lesions about 1 cm each in the pancreas. The radiologist and my pancreatic specialist said they need to be monitored and no real concern at this time. The endoscopy found mild gastritis. All other test are normal.
