4628530 tn?1369109086 ve done a lot of juicing and have changed my diet somewhat, and have been reading about anti-inflammatory foods. I learned that the paleo diet excludes many of these foods, but am not sure because of all the red meat. I'm all out of ideas, hungry, and breastfeeding. For those of you that have found some relief by changing your diet, what do your typical meals look like ( breakfast, lunch, dinner)? Any good recipes?
Avatar f tn When they are almost crispy start cooking the ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic salt. When done drain the grease, put on top of Tater tots mix the 3 cans of "soup" pour on top then put back in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Then add the cheese to melt on top and it's done. I made it at my MIL house and barely got a piece everyone scarfed it down so fast!!!
1277082 tn?1344057820 100 calorie snacks are great. You can carry them in your bag, and eat them on the go. Popcorn is good. It's pretty much...PORTION CONTROL. If you cut your portions in half, you will see the weight coming off. Watch the soda intake (even DIET!). Diet soda, makes you crave sweet things. Stick to water, unsweetned iced tea, seltzer. Anything "diet" drink, is sweeter then the normal stuff.

Avatar m tn Whatever, My diet which was great before is now a mix of Paleo and a just regular healthy diet with some grains and a bit of dairy. Paleo has some killer recipes and lucky for me, I love to cook. The added protein on Paleo gave me a much more steady and continuous form of energy with far less dips. Was never comfortable with sharing this info after the outburst on this forum about my wheatgrass juicing.
Avatar n tn If you have time to go to the gym to do weights, throw in some cardio -- something you can handle, don't start at too high a level. Paleo is fine for some people, but it isn't really one diet -- there are many forms of the so-called Paleo diet and it isn't really Paleo -- nobody ever ate this way.

I appreciate all the feed back. I love to hear stories of success so thank you for that. I am giving this a try as suggested and I will post my progress.

Anyway, if it continues to be a problem, talking with your doctor might be a good idea just to be sure. He can run a few tests to make sure everything is as it should be.
535822 tn?1443976780 Same thing Cherie except the meat is differant I believe it is ground Lamb in Shepherds pie and ground beef in Cottage pie, my mom used to fry it all up, sling in in an oven dish , spread mashed spuds on top ,spinkle with chedder cheese and grill till the cheese was brown, and melted ,not too heathy I think! in fact she used to cook her french fries , Chips to the Limeys out there, in LARD, yuck .I will take a peek at your recipes , peek awho.

I came up with a very simple chicken burger, I use ground chicken(perdue) but ground turkey works fine. 1lb ground chicken 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning, (you can add more if you like it zesty! not more than 1 tsp) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 Tbs veggie oil mix all together, let marinate in the refrig. for about an hour.

Avatar f tn As for recipes and health eating just try adapting the foods you already eat by using healthier ingredients. (Ex. Ground turkey instead of ground beef, whole grain pasta instead of white pastas, high protein cereals over high sugar cereals) Small adjustments add up to big changes. I hope this helps.

No doubt we would all do better if we were more eager to consume healthy foods and less willing to rely on pharmaceutical solutions. Personally I have absolutely no doubt diet is a factor in MS. Unfortunately I have a hard time seeing myself coming anywhere close to achieving compliance with a paleo diet. I know - I defeat myself. I've had success controlling some of my symptoms with supplements.
