If you use any scented body wash down there, scented pads, bubble baths or if your partner climaxes in you with out a condom, especially if you haven't been having sex for a long time, all these can throw off your Ph balance in your vagina. Resulting in a yeast infection.
It was painful two more times we had sex within 6 hours that night / morning . Now I feel extra dry down there and painful it’s been 24 hours also my discharge is very white and a sour with a bit of odor. What can this be ?????? Not too painful btw not itchy just uncomfortable. Just recently this new partner and I engaged in anal sex. He is a very large individual so I will assume there was rectal tearing during intercourse; during vaginal intercourse prior to anal, he began to experience friction cuts on his penis. When the odor occurred I changed my drink of choice to Cranberry (sweet concentrate) and the odor actually disappeared for a few days but came back. Before adding cranberry it was a constant odor; since it is about 50% of urination episodes.
I am using hydrogen peroxide to treat/ cleanse the entire area daily. I am taking no medication other than Excedrin for occasional headaches. I have used Vitamin E and Tea Tree Oil creams with limited results.
Hello, I have Endo and the Mirena inserted and I'm noticing a metallic smell but one that smells strong and not like a normal scent. The discharge is watery and light brown after my period. I'm very on top of my hygiene. Stressed out lately and wondering if it could be that. I have no BV and no pain or any other symptoms. Wondering if others with Endometriosis experience this from time to time.
m with Annie - are you sure this is BV? Have you been tested? The odor after sex is an indicator of BV, but you should test.
Given that he's cheating, you really do need to test for all STDs.
Are you in therapy? I hope you are. What you're going through sounds really painful, and I hope you can get to a point where you no longer say yes to having sex with him. I'm sure he's a very troubled soul, but you deserve better than to put your health at risk.

I had a baby in December 07, and I hadn't had sex since Oct 2007. I had sex about a week ago, it was really painful to start out even though I was aroused, which I know can be normal after having a baby. During sex I started bleeding, it wasn't heavy or anything like that, it was light pink spotting, and it was mixed with vaginal fluids from when you're aroused (if that helps). There was no pain or anything like that, and it didn't have any odor to it.
I've had a strong vaginal odor for a pretty long time. I'm a very clean person I shower twice a day even more when I'm on my period. I've never had sex so I don't know why it smells. It's a sweaty fishy smell, and I talked to my mom about it she said that I'm worrying about it too much. She finally took me to the doctor, it wasn't a gynocologist. The doctor did some tests for BV and all that other stuff, and it came back negative.

for a few months and am currently in a 15 month relationship. I have always had anal sex. With my last 2 outa 3 partners (buddy & current BF) we prefer mostly anal sex (not to protect against STD's or pregnancy). I know the risks are the same. Every year I am tested for all STD's, always clean. I have never suffered from ANY kind of infections (bacterial, fungal, or viral), side affects (itching, burning, odor) or other abnormalities.
when I woke up there was a bad odor when I whiped but then I took a bath and the odor was gone. The next day I began to feel itching sensations so I just thought it was a yeast infection and got monistat to treat it at the same time my cycle came down and the doc told me I could still use the monistat even though my cycle was down, but then it got worse and worse I had a few bumps that were really icthy and painful.
I and sorry you have this problem. Have you had any unprotected non manogamous sex? If so it could be trichomonas, or it could be bacterial vagninosis. But if you are getting pelvic pain it might be pelvic inflammatory disease or PID. So you need to get tested for a number of things to make sure. They have a NAAT (molecular) test for trichomonas that is much better than the old way of doing it also BV can be caused by Ph inbalance, or yeast, Garderella, or a number of other bacteria.
for the continued left side vaginal burning and my legs are always feeling numb and tingling and she said herpes almost always presents with multiple painful sores?? Also I have had this brown discharge and different odor than I have ever had and the Dr. says isn't BV, yeast, etc.? I am not circumcised. My wife took 4 out of 7 days of the meds. Sex is painful for her now and after aggressive sex or masturbation I get what appears like red spots only under my foreskin. Sometimes under my foreskin the red spots/dots are many or few, darker or lighter depending on the irritation from sex. The spots tingle/tender a little bit but otherwise go away after a day or two although after extremely rough sex may last a week.
How much is there? If it's just a bit maybe you bled a little after sex. Sometimes when taking meds (like clomid) your cervix could be a little inflamed and you might lightly bleed during sex... thus the brown discharge a few days after. But if it's alot, if it is painful, itchy or has a bad odor, you should call your dr.
So for 4/5 months I was bleeding irregularly. After sex. Mid month? Went on the mini pill for 2 months but bled constantly.
Now off everything and leaking water?? Soaking through pads. Blood stained but not much. Sometimes grey. No smell just wet.
No other symptoms apart from doc says I have a polyp on my cervix and maybe on my uterus. Wants to do a hystro exam but I’ve heard it’s really painful and I won’t be out to sleep.
