painful sex coil

after the lap i found that sex isnt as painful but i have no sensation there during sex, despite my sex drive starting to return. My Gp has told me it could be something psychological which i question as it has been so long and i am the one initiating it and know that it doesnt hurt, however she also said it could be that during my surgery they accidentally cut nerves which is apparently quite common.

s coincidence all this started when the coil came out? As I keep hearing the copper coil does not upset cycles. Has anyone else had similar after removal?

so you had your period sunday oct 5- oct 8 then got your coil removed on october 22 you would not have gotten pregnant from your period on the 5th-8th while your coil was still in (its too rare) so your not pregnant unless you had sex AFTER YOUR COIL WAS REMOVED and you were ovulating. even then you said your last period was oct 5th-8th. so if you got pregnant after you coil was removed you are not going to get a positive pregnancy test now ayways. does that make sense?

Well if you are having bleeding during bowels, I would ask for a colonoscopy. Just to be on the safe side. The bleeding during sex, it could just be it gets irritated from it somehow.

I spent 3 days in hospital due to pain and eventually earlier today, my doctor removed the mirena coil. Very painful removal as the strings had gone up, and so retrieving them was a tricky business. I actually had the Essure coils placed and just recently went through IVF. I have had a positive urine pregnancy test, and am having a serum HCG on 5-13-09. The placement of the Essure coils was done in the office. They numbed my cervix and gave me Valium prior to the procedure. I had cramping during the insert, but it was brief.

If I have Chlamydia positive can I still take antibiotics while having a coil ? Can it still be treated ? Or do I have to remove the coil to treat my infection. If I already took the treatment is it dangerous or not?

hi i would like some advice i had the mirena coil removed on the 17th Sep. I had the coil in for 13 months and it stopped my peroids. I had spotting and then had my peroid on 25th Oct. I have not come on and i AM lmoat 2 weeks late done pg tests and they have come back neg, but i have got bledding gums, sore breasts to touch and around the time i was due to have my peroid i had light brown rediish spooitn but only when i wiped.

First of all, if you bled for 10 days, I don't think you are pregnant for the time you had sex just prior to that--but since I'm not a doctor, I'm not 100% sure... You may be having all of these feelings because of the removal...and may continue to have them until you have a regular cycle for a month. Hormones are crazy things that can go out of whack sometimes....especially with birth control. Is your coil an IUD?

Hey, Have to go in for hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsies and my gyne has suggested either inserting mirena coil or doing endometrial ablation at the same time. I suffer from extremely heavy painful periods and I'm anemic! I've done a little bit of research and found all the usual horror stories on each procedure some Im very unsure which option would be best for me. I know that if either work they are great but no so good if they dont!

It was a day long and light. My periods have always been painful, long and heavy hence the coil. A week later did another HPT which was neg. Now for the last 6 days have really not felt right at all. I had mirena in for 3 years after placement I bled for about 6 weeks then no bleeding for about a year then I averaged about 30 day cycle for the last 2 years and a period that always last 4 days. Hi Everyone Just come home from hospital after having a hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy and the mirena coil fitted. Woke up this morning and experiencing alot of cramping, discomfort and feeling sick. I need some advice and quick, my hysband is quite concerned about the coil and the the complications it can cause for me and also he is worried that he would be able to feel in during intercourse, has anyone else experienced this. Also how long do i leave if before trying.

Now I have had another cyst only 5 3/4cm on my right ovary again. Have been watching it for 5-6 months now. Still there, very painful somedays. To bend, walk, have sex. Because of my age my dr really doesn't want me to have a hysterectomy but given my history I could have another surgery to remove cyst and another will just form again. I am ready to have hysterctomy now! I want the pain to end! I just don't know what to expect from a hysterctomy?

Hi Jo I wanted to let you know that my IGM started 6 months after having the mirena coil put in after the birth of my daughter. The second flare up happened 1 month after having the mirena coil removed 5 years later. I believe there is a connection there with hormone fluctuation.

I've had the mirena coil fr a few months uv been bleeding bad last two weeks or more and just literally half hour ago I noticed the strings are hanging right out n it's actually hanging out but I couldn't pull it out, in afraid of leaving it as it is but I can't pull it out what do I do?

I have suffered monthly for over a year now with BV ever since I started using the coil. I associate this with using the coil. I have changed the first coil I had as suggested by the nurse but still get it every month, especially around the time my period is due. Although the coil is a perfect form of contraception for me, I want to know if removing it altogether could stop the recourrence of the horrible BV. Is BV actually attributed to the coil?

Well..I'm sort of i the same boat...I had my Mirena removed on January 14th due to ovarian cysts. Bled for 10 days. Started A/F on Feb. 4th, lasted 5 days...completely normal from my old cycles. Not sure on ovulation...had some ovulation symptoms, but wasn't sure. Had sex quite a bit the weekend of Vday (Feb 14-Feb17th) Only used a male condom. On Feb 20th, (I didn't bleed any after the AF) I had some clear discharge with pink spotting. Nothing before or after.

Mainly blaming it on the coil she has fitted. As she has read it can make u give of a slight vibration like if u had you phone in your bag and you felt it vibrate. Except the vibrations are strong different speeds and some times when she gets the wrong pattern you can her the click of the remote as she scrolls through to get the pattern she likes. My main concern is tgat she is showing signs the same as my dad does who is a alcaholic.
