i had a vaginal hysterectomy 4 weeks ago feel great was out of hospital the next day my question is i feel ready to have sex now i have been able to have a external orgasm in the last few day however as it says sex after 6 weeks i am afraid i will do myself some harm is it ok to have sex now or do i need to wait 2 more weeks thanks
Im a 20 year old female, no kids, and get these same symptoms of vomiting, dizziness, and severe cramping starting during sex and gets more intense after sex. Im not sure when it started happening but it happens a few times a month, and seems like its getting worse, I dont know whats been going on but i know im not pregnant. Might it be a tilted uterous, or cysts? HELP!!

I have many friends who have had a hysterectomy and wanted to throw a party afterwards!
They lived with painful fibroids for many years, and became so much happier after the hysterectomy. It's not an uncommon result when fibroids cannot be controlled. I would listen to your GYN, or consult another if that makes you feel better. But, is sounds like you may be heading that direction.
I have had a full hysterectomy many years ago. I have suffered from vaginal dryness so lubrication is the norm. This is the first time in 21 years that I have ever had any bleeding. I wouldn’t be concerned if I were overly dry, the sex was rough or it lasted longer than usual. However, it was actual very quick and not aggressive or painful at all. Having said that, Im wondering what could be the cause. Any thoughts?
We waited 10 weeks after hysterectomy before having sex and it was still uncomfortable for a while with some bleeding too. It's not so bad now but I don't often reach orgasm now and when I do it feels different somehow.

I had a hysterectomy and the thought of any type of sex for 6 mos afterwards scared me to death. You go girl! Unfortunately, honey, but I have to agree with everyone else. The muscle contractions from an orgasm could set back your healing time even further. Perform for him now, if you can, and make him pay you back X 3 when you have recovered.

I am a 60-year-old in reasonably good health, who, since menopause about 6 years ago, has experienced sharp deep painful 'muscle' spasms at orgasm. They subside within a few minutes to a half hour, but, needless to say, put a damper on my sex life with my husband of 30 years. My gynocologist termed it 'tenting' and suggested i take ibuprofren before sex. Hasn't helped.
I love to have sex and use to like doing it 2 times a day but now its so painful to even have sex. It feels like he is hitting something on in the pelvic area or right on top of my vagina. I was wondering why it started to be so painful? Has any of you ladies ever have this problem?

I take Phayzme (simethecone) after each meal and at bed time and I still do, it does help. NOT diagnosing you but after a total hysterectomy it is a fact that the GI tract "drops" and can just "hang there" but for many of us when the GI tract drops adhesions cause it to "stick" to anything, the wall of the pelvic cavity, to other parts of the GI tract, around a ureter. Many possibilities.
I hear you on the bladder and bowel issues! I've had them since my hysterectomy too. I don't have painful sex but I have no libido so no sex happening. I would think that ovarian cysts could exacerbate bladder and bowel issues. Not sure about painful sex. If you've had that since your hysterectomy, then cysts are not likely the cause. That would be more apt to be a vaginal cuff problem, a too short vagina, vaginal atrophy, or endometriosis (if you have that).
I bled for 6 months after my TVH (total vag. hysterectomy) everytime Dh and I had sex. Turns out I had ALOT of granulation tissue. I had to have silver nitrate treatments several times and the finally used some super numbing spray (I think they called it Hurricane spray) and clipped away a big piece of granulation tissue. That definately helped. Funny thing is, the last time I bled after sex I bled alot. But I haven't bled since and that was 1.5 yrs ago.
up until 6 months ago I had a perfectly ordinary and normal sex life. Then after a time period of about 2 months of not having sex, my partner and I attempted to have intercourse. It was so painful that it became impossible to continue. The best way that I can explain the experience is to say that it felt like the entire vaginal vault had shrunk. It was impossible for him to actually "get in".

i have frequent utis, i don't know why. the urinologist said it might be because of endometriosis. but i'm positive they're utis because it burns when i pee. but also i bleed after sex almost every time and ever since my first uti some positions are very painful.
ve since had ops for ectopic pregnancies, womb ablation, subtotal hysterectomy (31 yrs old, 6 months after ablation). During my hysterectomy my surgeon had to separate my uterus from my bowel, bladder, cervix and ovary. Everything was stuck together due to scar tissue/pelvic adhesions. My surgeon believed that the pelvic adhesions were the cause of the horrific pain I was experiencing. I was fine for approx 3 years after my hysterectomy when the cramping and back pain returned with a vengeance.
