How long did u ladies wait until you had sex again after a vaginal birth ? How do you know yor stitches have healed ? Even though my bleeding has stopped how do I know it's ok ?

For mommies that already have another little one, how is sex after the baby? I'm worried that it will be different, or hurt? How is it the first time?

Haha yeah me too. I had zero libido during pregnancy and got it back right after giving birth but sex was painful for a long time. Very frustrating. I only had two months of enjoyable sex before I got pregnant again and have no libido again. I feel your pain lol.

Sex hurt me for a while after I had my son, I couldn't fully enjoy it until like 6 or 7 months after I had him. I did have stitches, healed up nicely nothing was wrong but it was still painful..

Its perfectly normal and will go away after birth. I find it easier to have sex with a lot of foreplay and going slow.

It's definitely different but not unpleasantly so. The first time (or three) may be a bit tight or painful if you got stiches because the skin needs to stretch again so use lots of lube. I was the rare case that healed incorrectly and I have a 1/2 inch skin tag-like thing that caused me pain during sex for the first 6 months after. But that's uncommon. And now that I know I can be prepared and get it fixed this time if necessary.

Another reason for waiting until your six week check up is so you can get back on birth control before having sex. You're very fertile right after birth.

for me ob said wait 8-12 weeks but i had twins. i think normally it's 6 weeks so that your body has time to heal. i had sex while breast feeding and neither of my boys lost weight or got sick. whoever told you that is full of sh!t. and it's not true about getting pregnant right after either. lots of women go on to have very healthy full term babies.

I plan on waiting 6 weeks before sex and after I get on birth control (I won't be ready for another baby for at least a year and a half and have a better job). m fine but right after my finace and I have sex and I go to the bathroom I have very, very painful urination. It feels like I have paper cuts. And we don't use protection because I'm on birth control so the only time I have very painful urination after sex is when he ejaculates inside me. I recently found out I had chlamydia and I took the pills and shot for that and got the test results that said everything was fine and I came back negative and my fiance also took the pills for it.

t even imagine getting pregnant within a few weeks of giving birth. Even if you feel great after having this baby, it takes a huge toll on you getting pregnant again right away.
