painful sex after baby

For mommies that already have another little one, how is sex after the baby? I'm worried that it will be different, or hurt? How is it the first time?

My daughter was born 2 1/2 years ago...and i never had pain after sex, never had odd cramps, nothing like any of this....

I would definitely look for more info.. I will sometimes use baby diaper rash cream after sex when it's painful and it works for me, but I don't know that that's the same kind of pain..

We started having sex about 5 to 6 weeks after I had my baby n my hubby took it slow to see how things would go first n it was not painful at all. I did feel like a virgin again but in a good way.

Ever since I became pregnant, sex became pretty painful. After about 10 seconds of us having sex I would start to burn down there, and it would burn even worse when he came in me. Sorry if this question is TMI, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

m currently 11 weeks pregnant and my husband and I had sex for the first time in a month (long distance), anyways it was incredibly painful after to the point where I felt swollen and tender down there. t had sex in a while like the last time I had sex was a month in a half ago and today I decide to have sex and it was so painful and after sex it was even worse that I had to go straight to the bath to see if I felt Better. Hello, Painful sexual intercourse, called dyspareunia in medical terminology is not an uncommon occurance after having a baby (even though it's been 2 yrs) and C-section. Are you Nursing? Does the little one still wake up through the night or sleep w/ you? Along w/ adding some lubricant, you may want to try different positions as this will help you to relax (enjoy) it more, in turn adding your own lube!

I'm 19+6 Weeks and sex has gotten to painful to have. :( Tried tonight but it feels like I'm way to tight! Anyone else having this problem?

Its perfectly normal and will go away after birth. I find it easier to have sex with a lot of foreplay and going slow.

Sex hurt me for a while after I had my son, I couldn't fully enjoy it until like 6 or 7 months after I had him. I did have stitches, healed up nicely nothing was wrong but it was still painful..

I had a paragrad Copper T IUD for 10 years (the max) and it was amazing. Non hormonal and the last 4 years or so my periods were every other month. Heavier periods and cramping, but no pregnancy risk due to forgotten pill or missed shot appointment. Occasionally (and depending on position) my bf could feel it during sex. I thought I had felt it move/readjust a couple times after sex but it wasn't painful. Had it removed in late January and was pregnant by late April.

There is kind of burning and it is just too painful. This is making me worried about delivering a baby that is way much bigger. Anyone relates?

It's definitely different but not unpleasantly so. The first time (or three) may be a bit tight or painful if you got stiches because the skin needs to stretch again so use lots of lube. I was the rare case that healed incorrectly and I have a 1/2 inch skin tag-like thing that caused me pain during sex for the first 6 months after. But that's uncommon. And now that I know I can be prepared and get it fixed this time if necessary.

hi ladies! I had my baby 20 days ago. I thought I couldn't have sex again until 40 days past delivery however a midwife (not my usual midwife) said that my husband and I could have sex as soon as the stitches had fallen off and I stopped bleeding. She confirmed the former and I stopped bleeding few days ago. So I just wanted to ask for your opinion, especially those of you who have already children Thanks in advance for your advice!
