breast

Avatar n tn Hi, I have had a painful area on the underside of my left breast for about a month or so. I don't think I can feel any lump and the skin/shape looks normal, but the area is painful to the touch, like pressing on a bruise. I'm 37. Would really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
Avatar n tn Hi! Last year, about after Christmas, I found a breast lump on the left breast. When I sleep on my left side, it really hurts and also when i sleep lying on my face on the pillow so my breasts are directly on the bed. I'm really scared because I'm afraid that this maybe cancerous even though I only have breast lump as symptom. When I went to my doctor, she told me to have an ultrasound. I'm scared to have an ultrasound because I'm afraid to know if I have cancer or not.
Avatar n tn I found a lump on my left breast about 5 months ago and made an appointment to see my doctor. The lump was a bit tender but I assumed it was because I had been prodding it! My doctor said she was sure it was a 'breast mouse' but sent me to the hospital to have it checked by a specialist. I went to see the specialist and he told me it was fibro something, and the lump was due to the fact that I have large breasts.

Avatar f tn I just discovered a painful lump near my areola on my left breast. It's a size of a dime, hard to touch and not moving. I just had my period two weeks ago and the right breast is not painful. It's as if the pain goes down to my left arm. A friend told me to give it a few days and if it doesn't go away then have it check by a doctor. I'm scared it's the first time it happened to me.

Avatar f tn On the left breast there is this large painful and hard breast lump. It immobile. However, after three days of pain the pain is gone, and it's no longer growing. But it's still hard and the lump is definitely still there. This lump also appeared a short while after menopause began. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Hi, Breast cancer in the male breast is relatively rare especially at your age,but since you can feel a lump under the areola, then it is necessary to see your Doctor for a clinical breast exam and maybe some type of testing for a correct diagnosis. A painful lump does not usually indicate breast cancer.
Avatar f tn I'm a 24 year old female and I've been experiencing some discomfort in my left breast. I've always had lumpy breasts with mobile/movable lumps that sort of hurt when pressed. A few weeks ago I noticed a relatively larger lump on the left side of my left breast, it isn't fixed, and moves around a little, and hurts if pressed. It doesn't feel irregular in shape, and is not visible without feeling the breast.
Avatar f tn I am 30 years old, with no history of breast cancer, and for reference, have small breasts. I have had a small, hard and very painful lump in my left breast for over a year now. It is easily felt when standing, but very difficult to find when lying down. My GP sent me to get an ultrasound.
Avatar f tn I noticed just recently that my right breast gets much fuller than the left breast, and also noticed a hard lump like feeling on the top part of my left breast. It has made me a bit frightened and am wondering what could have happened, after I noticed it and my milk supply reduced in the area but is now back. I'm not sure whether I should be worried by this or not. Right now, I'm still breasfeeding on both sides. Does breastfeeding increase d chances of bc or what? Please help !!!!!
Avatar n tn I am a 62 year old male with a slightly painful small hard lump on my left breast, very close to the nipple. No other symptoms exist. Is this just a benign cyst? What should I do?

Avatar n tn I have also found a very painful lump on the left side near the bottom of my ribs. Also on that side under my breast is very sore. Anyone have any ideas?
Avatar n tn However they saw it and I had biopsy done on my left breast a few months ago. It turned out to be beign and was just something to have to do with the ducts? Anyway, now months later there is a good size lump there that you can feel just by barely touching it and it is very painful. Is this something that is common after a needle biopsy? Or is this something that could be serious that I need to get checked out. I do have breast cancer in my family history.

Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a 26 year old fit and healthy male. I found a small lump under my left nipple several months ago. The nipple is also tender. I initially put this down to being gyno due to me training a lot in the gym resulting in an increase in testosterone. I have no other symptoms other than the lump and tenderness to touch. I would say the lump is slightly bigger than pea size. I have booked an appointment at the doctors but that’s over a month away.
Avatar n tn I woke up this morning with a very painful breast. There is a portion of my areola that is very swollen and red. I cant touch it to see if there is a lump or not. I stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago. Im not sure what to do. Ive been using warm moist compresses but it seems to not help at all. The pain radiates up into my armpit. What could this be?

Avatar f tn If you had previous breast injuries, fat cells in the breast tissue may be damaged and produce a firm, painful lump in the breast. If lumps are accompanied by breast tenderness and redness, it may suggest an infection. Similarly, breast cysts can also produce firm, tender lumps in the breast that change in size and seem to appear and disappear as your monthly hormone levels change. They often cause pain before your period is due and improve when the period starts.
