I have had a sharp pain under my rib cage, right side. It feels like a leg cramp, but under the rib cage, and locks me up pretty good for about 5-10 minutes. On occasion, it feels like a spasm in that it twitches. It happens about 1-2 times a month, usually when I am holding my child or bending over. Any ideas?
I have had a pain under my rib cage on the right side for over a year now and have had ultrasound done on all my internal organs that showed no abnormalities. A fairly recent mammogram also shoed up as normal. Just in the last 2 weeks I now have a ridge that looks like a vein that runs from under my rib cage up to the top of my right nipple. It is alos painful. It is totally visible and is connected to the pain under my ribs. I am concerned about Breat Cancer.
I am not yet diagnosed, but I get it with different type sensations i.e. right rib discomfort, sharp right rib pain, sharp right chest pain, and also the sensation where I cannot get my breath, like something sitting on my rib cage.
Also when I am walking for exercise sometimes I get to the point where I cannot catch my breath. Sometimes also after going to bed at night, I will notice that I cannot breathe in and out with a full inspiration/expiration.
Hey I'm 17 and I have a burning pain under my right rib cage it's been going on for awhile now it comes and goes and it stays for about a day or so everytime. It is right under my breast and is red when it burns.
If the pain is slightly to the right of midline in the back - above the beltline - yes, it can be related to kidney problems. That pain won't typically radiate into the shoulder blade, however, and gallbladder issues can 'ride up' into the shoulder blade and shoulder, itself. If you're having any bowel habit changes, that could also be related to GB issues.
t be going to the internet for medical advice but doctors scare me! I have had a pain right below my right breast and under my ribs for years now. It only happens when I sleep on that side and never any other time. There has always been a small bruise-looking thing right around that area, but I've never NOT had that. I also feel like there is a dent in my rib cage right where it hurts. Like I said, there is a large amount of pain right when I wake up from sleeping on that side.
I wanted this pain to stop at all and never occur whenever am alone coz am kinda worried no one to help out if it turns/feel a hard pain,
when any member of my family is around and this pain attacked me I really wanted to call his/her out and barely showing the movement of the bump in the left rib cage (under/below my breast) happening visible in my skin and relatively put their hand on the bump making them feel the real movement of it (with squeezed pain).
Hey I had my gall bladder removed last year and some of what you are experiencing were my symptoms. It started on the right side under breast, above rib cage, and wrapped around my shoulder to the back. The first attack was so bad I did go to the hospital but they didn't discover the problem. It wasn't until I was getting checked for another problem a few months later that it was discovered, through an ultrasound on my liver, they discovered the gallstones.
Im having the worst chest pain under my breast on the right side of my rib cage. I cant sleep, take any deep breaths, cough, it hurts when I lay down, get up, when I do anything & the pain is getting unbearable. I don't have any high blood pressure, or any iron deficiency. Has anyone experience this before or is going thru this.
I'm feeling "movement" on my right side just under my rib cage. Doesn't hurt but literally feels like lumps or stones moving around. I would equate it to a baby moving if it were in my uterus but I'm not pregnant and it's not in the uterine area. It's under my rib cage and very worrisome. Seems to be after I eat or mostly in the evenings. I'm also really cold all the time (never had been before) and have lost weight suddenly. Does anyone have any idea?
About six months ago, I was leaned over putting my shoe on when something popped out from under my right rib cage just below my sternum. The pain was so intense that I thought something was actually going to rip apart inside me because it was being stretched and held out of its normal position. I actually fell to my knees. I could see something large bulging out from under my breast bone. After about 10 seconds it popped back under and the pain was gone.
I have been having pressure under my right rib cage - it feels like a football is stuffed under it. I had a complete set of blood tests done 4 days ago and everything was normal - except my AST which was slightly elevated (63, normal scale has 37 as a high), but my AST has been slightly elevated for 4 years and past tests (4 years ago) included CT scan, MRI, ultraousnd and hepatitis blood tests all showed nothing wrong. Any idease of what the pressure under my right rib cage may be? Thanks!
I have had some pain occasionally by my rib cage . At one point years ago, I thought I was having a gallbladder attack, which turned out to be nothing. Yet at times I get a quick pain under my breast. Now it's just a pulling sensation at times. Could all be due to the prior issue I was having. I am going to check with my doctor.
