Avatar n tn I have a swollen left breast and swelling under my arm. I also have radiating pain from my breast all the way down my left arm. Could this be breast cancer?
1661778 tn?1307053502 I'm happy nothing seriously wrong was found with me, but it leaves a person confused a little. Anyway, if the HIDA scan comes back ok, have you heard of GERD pain radiating to the back? Even when your on medication that seems to control the reflux well?
Avatar n tn Im feeling this stabbing pain on my right back that goes around to my right breast. Its very painful and i dont know what to do.
Avatar m tn When you have the episodes of pain, do you have dizzyness? Radiating pain down your left arm and neck? Any increase in pain upon exertion? Sudden shortness of breath? If not, then trust what the doctor have been telling you - if the pain is cardiac, then the pain would increase upon exertion, when you had your stress tests, did you have any pain suddenly come on? Non-cardiac pain does not increase with exertion, it either stays the same or goes away.
Avatar n tn Hi, I was having real pain, nausea, constipation, loss of weight and lack of interest in eating in July of 2008. I pushed through many doctors (internists and gastroenterologists) until I found a doctor willing to actually order tests to delve further into diagnosing what the problem was as all the other doctors (without doing tests of any kind) blamed it on GERD and wrote me prescriptions for Nexium/Achiphex/Carafate all which did nothing.
Avatar n tn I'm 33 - fulltime working mother of 2. The left-sided pain under rib cage radiating through to my back just started 2 nights ago. I've acid reflux for the past 4 years but haven't religiously taken my meds. You just get sick of taking drugs for birth control, hip joints, depression/anxiety, bla bla bla. Anyway, this new pain woke me up in the middle of the night. It was like a clentching pain, then a release.
Avatar f tn I am so concerned. The pain under my ribcage and right side is still there and now seems to be radiating to lower right abdomen and lower back. I am able to eat better now but I still have the severe belching when eating and stools have changed alot in consistency from very soft brown, firm kelly green w/mucous, to brown with bright red blood on surface that I can tell.
Avatar n tn Same thing mostly here, although I've had it for about 8 months. Dull pain in the left side right under rib cage, but can also flare up around the back more. i get alot of gas that isn't normal. I burp from drinking water...heh...sometimes even when not consuming anything for hours. Stomach gets sour from everything but soup. i live on pepcid AC. No insurance here, so a doc is pretty much out of the question for now. sometimes when lying down i can feel it throb or "pulsing" too.
Avatar f tn I have the same upper left breast pain. (under arm pit) I also feel it once and a while on the right side as well. I just recently changed jobs and am experiencing a lot of stress. Thought it could be a heart issue, however I'm only 34 and in pretty good shape. (Played high school sports as a kid) After reading the above I've come to realize that the increased stress and anxiety (new job, new baby, etc.) may cause you to worry at little more that you should.
Avatar f tn Three years ago, while pregnant with my daughter I started to feel pain under my left rib cage. The docker thought it was her feet brushing against my ribs. Three years later, I am still in pain. Now the pain won't go away. I have had every test under the sun done. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, upper gi, stress test, heart ultra sound, EKG, five other types of ultrasounds ranging from uterus to spleen to gallbladder. I have had chest x rays too. Recently the pain is so bad sometimes it wakes me.
Avatar n tn I am still nursing my child, and this isn't mastitis. For six months I've had stabbing pains in my left breast. I also feel some pain radiating down my arm now and then. I also feel this heaviness, like sometimes it is painful to breathe. I even went to the ER (first time ever) in April, thinking I was having a heart attack. They said it was anxiety with the pending surgery. I've read about IBC, but I have absolutely no visual changes in my breast, just this pain!
Avatar n tn in the breast, where fluid builds up in the ducts and glands and causes discomfort. Pain radiating to the underarm from the breast is pretty common. Some things that help the pain of fibrocystic breasts is eliminating caffeine, taking vitamin E, wearing good support, even at night. It's typical for a mammogram to be not useful at your age.
Avatar n tn For the past several weeks I've worked with a physcial therapist to strengthen the muscles from my mid-back to under my breast it's been slow but it appears to be working. He gave me a couple of simple exercises. You may want to consult a licensed physical therapist in your area.
Avatar n tn Most of my pains are on my left side, I have left flank pain, just about under the rib cage and pain on the bottom left of my stomach. My stool is for the most part normal, I had my gall bladder removed,(another non cancerous growth) and each day my bowel movements can range from soft to hard, but I attribute that to my surgery several years ago. I had a cat scan done on my Liver stomach normal, spleen normal, pancreas normal.
Avatar m tn About 30 years ago, it was assumed that I had IBS, then learned that I have same symptoms of abdominal pain radiating to back when eating yogurt; then years later told I am lactose intolerant and found over the past 30 years I would get this pain from eating yogurt or drinking milk, which I have cut from my diet, along with cheese, yeast, processed, smoked, pickled foods and no alcohol or meds, vitamins, etc. as never tolerated well.

Avatar n tn Also a pain radiating to the back could be due to pancreatitis. It could also be a pain of costochondritis. You will need to undergo CT scan, EKG, blood tests etc. to reach a diagnosis. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Lets see what your doctor says. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn All blood tests and serum tests are good. Occassionally pain seeems to reappear in lower left quadrant. I just came back from doctor today. After he did deep palpation I thought I was gonna die cause it aches so much. I would be interested in ANY thoughts about this as my fear was pancreatic cancer.
Avatar n tn However, in reading your thoughts on Breast rash, I noticed for a while that I have a rash under my left breast. On my initial visit to the M.D. I failed to mention this to him. Again, today after the biopsy I being very anxious had other questions but did not present my concern about the rash. I am in my mid-50's have a history of fibroid cystitis but never anything more serious.
Avatar n tn Hi am expiriencing the same exact pain as you! I have very back pain in my upper back next to and under my left shoulder blade, and I have the pain in my chest too, that feels like it is radiating through my back into my chest, right in my left breast. It hurts especially bad when I take a deep breath or sneeze. I also have very bad neck pain.
Avatar n tn When I put my arm down the pain is between my elbow and my shoulder, right at the rib area. The pain starts right under my breast into to rib area around the leftside if my back. It feels like something is growing there. When I drink fluids it seems to make the pain more intense on my leftside. I just push that area and massage it and strecth it, but it doesn't make it go away.
Avatar n tn The stabbing sensation completely bypasses my breasts. I don't know how to say it other than I can simply feel the pain *under* the breast tissue. The wrist pain, on the other hand, most frequently occurs in my right arm, usually upset by writing or using a mouse (I can only write about 12-15 lines on notebook paper before I have to stop and rub my wrist so I can start writing again).
Avatar n tn Is this anything to worry about. Could it just be back pain or muscle strain that is radiating to the breast? The breast is still that same color as the other one and to look at it there is no difference from the other one. There is also no difference in the way one breast feels to the touch from the other. I just feel that there is some very slight swelling.or fullness. Is this just a perimenopausal symptom? Or should I be worried about cancer?
Avatar n tn I have pain behind my left shoulder blade that is radiating around my left ribcage almost into my chest. The pain also goes down the backside of my upper arm. It's the most anoying pain. The skin down my arm is amost hyper sensitive, a tingling sensation. Does anyonelse have this. I've been dealing with this for over a year now, it went away for awhile but is back. I'm only 31 years old, have always been very active. I constantly worry about what this is which probably doesn't help.
Avatar m tn I’ve been experiencing right sided pain for about 6 months now. The pain is just under my right ribs. The pain radiates to my back as well. I’ve practiced weight lifting, swimming and karate for years. I'm completely unsure what caused it. It started as very minor pain, more like pressure. I’m fairly athletic and exercise 3-4 days per week, or used to… I haven’t been able to since I’ve had this side pain.
